Amily Homecare

We have been using Amily homecare for just over 3 months now and we are really pleased with the support the small team of carers are providing for our 85 year old mother who has Alzheimer's. It's so easy to check their notes from the visits on the App and they have contacted me when prescriptions need renewing or food items are running low. My mum enjoys their company and they treat her kindly and with respect. It's so reassuring to know they are providing personal care, preparing meals, drinks and ensuring medication is taken. I would definitely recommend Amily homecare to anyone looking for caring support for their relative. Thank-you Amily :-)

I only dealt with Amily for a couple of months due to my father moving into a nursing home, but the experience was outstanding. From the very beginning, the level of care, understanding, and professionalism was exceptional.

What stood out most was the much better response, the genuine understanding of dementia and the long-term emotional toll it can have on family carers, as well as the reliability of visits and the high standards of hygiene maintained.

It made a difficult time much easier knowing there was someone dependable and knowledgeable involved. I would highly recommend Amily to anyone looking for support and care.

We found Amily homecare when our mother came out of hospital and both my sister and I didn't live nearby so organised them to pop in 3 times a week to help our mother. Amily Homecare has supported my mum for over a year, I have found all staff at Amily home care to be extremely supportive, friendly, compassionate, kind, professional and caring I feel very lucky to have found Amily homecare as a family member I feel supported and respected when contacting staff in the office about my mum, The online system of seeing records and rota is very helpful and always works and is always updated in a timely way. My mum has a selection of carers who always visit which allows my mum to become familiar with the same people and my mum speaks positive about all of her carers and visits. Amily home care is really responsive and supports if a change of plan occurs, my mum has lots of hospital appointments... I feel strongly that the carers are great and this is down to the fantastic leadership and management of Amily Home care and senior team in leading the organisation to be as great. I would 100% recommend Amily Homecare.

All the carers are respectful of Mum and all try to go that extra bit to make Mum feel at ease when visiting.

Amily have been looking after my father for around 11 months now and I can honestly say they are truly Amazing. The Carers who attend to our Dad three times a day are all really kind and caring. They spend time chatting to Dad, the visits are never rushed they ensure he is happy and all his personal care is completed, they ensure he always eats and is left comfortable. Dad really looks forward to their visits. I have never had any concerns for Dads care. I would recommend Amily to anyone seeking care for a relative as they have taken a huge amount of stress away from our family so our visits with Dad are now quality time spent with him. The Managment Team are fabulous they always contact me straight away if Dad needs anything and that again is so helpful. Seeking care for a relative is stressful but with Amily there is no stress they have made everything so stress free and streamline. Nothing is too much for any of the Team involved in Dads care.

Our Mum has been cared for by Amily's carers for nearly 2 years. It's scary choosing a care agency, but we have absolutely no regrets about choosing Amily. The carers have always treated Mum with respect and warmth. Mum was resistant to letting carers support her but they gradually won her over. Apart from the care, Mum enjoyed the regular contact and the chats. The management team have been so helpful and responsive when changes in visits and medication have had to occur, even at short notice. We also greatly appreciate that we can log into the app to see notes on how Mum is after each visit. This has been very reassuring. My siblings and I are so grateful to and appreciative of the whole Amily team. Thank you, everyone!

Staff is very compassionate and work in harmony with dignity

My Mum is so happy with the level of care she gets. The regular visits are invaluable and the friendly staff are wonderful with my Mum. They treat her like a person not a job. I'm always kept up to date via the app and phone calls or texts if required. The office staff are approachable, friendly and listen to all concerns and requests. I have peace of mind knowing my Mum is being looked after every day. I would recommend.

Amily Homecare have been excellent from day one...2018 I believe they started care with my mum who had a stroke back in 2017 and my mum is a very hard negative person to care for. I cannot praise them more excellent service kindness patience and compassion. If I have to phone the office for anything they always pick up 24/7 which i am so appreciated of. Always on hand. The girls always log any concerns wether it be mums health or shopping dealing with daily issues they always phone me if any thing occurs . I don't know how to say thankyou for helping mum out and full hearted appreciate the services the give. Thankyou X million times over and more . When I ask my family to help out there's always a excuse so I end up trying to do it by myself but Amily are like a second family ready to help out. Thankyou xxxx

They also report on their app if they think Mum is unwell or 'not herself' to enable me to seek swift medical intervention to prevent her from going into the hospital. They've enabled Mum to continue living independently.

The carers supplied by Amily to look after my mother have all been excellent, caring, professional and able to cope with her limited mobility and other problems. Communication with Amily has been very straightforward with regular visits and follow-ups, which was great in building confidence.

Amily cared for my mother for four years to the end of her life: Always handled Mum with great care, tenderness and kindness, whilst being totally professional in dealing with Mum's many and ever-increasing needs: Amily made sure Mum maintained her dignity throughout, even during very trying times and always had her best interests at heart ensuring she was as comfortable as possible and at ease, regardless of what was 'going on' with her physical and mental health. Two carers deserve mention: Mum grew to adore them, and her face would light up when they arrived. Mum's last months were traumatic for us but not so for Mum as all the carers handled Mum with such fondness, warmth and care ensuring she was comfortable, pain-free and cosy whilst also making the family feel special. It was because of this quality of care Mum was able to spend her last months, days and final hours at home. They were angels and I cannot thank them enough for managing Mum (and the family). We will be forever grateful.

We have been absolutely delighted with the care my father has received from everyone in the team at Amily Homecare. They are so helpful, attentive, reliable and caring. It’s like having family over. Would highly recommend their services.

It wasn’t easy for me to accept I needed help with the care of my husband with dementia. However, from the very first moment, Amily Homecare gave me confidence to relax a little. They treated my husband with such kindness and respect (and expertise!) I could not ask for more.
