Could not wish for better help.
Thank you for your lovely words. We take a lot of pride in the care we provide to our clients so to have this feedback is a huge boost for the whole team.
Amily Homecare is helpful and caring plus efficient when dealing with any queries. The carers are friendly and caring towards their clients. When initially arranging for carers, the manager provides help and insight when needed. There is a can-do attitude and they are flexible with the timing of visits if needed when medical appointments arise. You can feel confident with the support you receive at very often a traumatic and stressful time transitioning to a different way of life for your family member.
Thank you for the kind review, Shirley. We will always try our best to accommodate the needs and wishes of our clients and their family members.
Great carers, very good at communication and helping my mum with her needs. All the staff are friendly and love the dog as well and the office is very quick and helpful if we have any changes to our needs.
Thank you for the kind review, Ian. It means a great deal to everyone at Amily that you and your mum are happy with the service you receive. The dog is definitely a day brightener for all!
They have given my mum the best care possible. It is so refreshing to know when I can not be there for her that her carers are giving her the best care. The carers are always on time and dressed in clean smart uniforms.
Thank you for your kind words. Providing excellent care is at the heart of what we strive to achieve here and it means so much to us that you feel this is being met for your mum.
We developed a good relationship with the carers. A good understanding of our needs exists.
Thank you for your kind words and review about our carers, we strive to provide an excellent service and it gives us great pride that our carers are fulfilling this.
I am very pleased with all the carers for the things they do for my husband. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we are glad to hear you are happy with the service you are receiving.
When my father said he was not happy in his care home, I contacted Amily Homecare to see whether a live-in carer would allow him to move back home. They were amazing from the beginning, giving us the time we needed to discuss all aspects of live-in care. The live-in care manager has been fantastic throughout, going that extra mile to get to know Dad and finding carers that suited not only his needs but also his personality. His main carer has been outstanding, great company and I am completely confident in her abilities as a carer. She has also gone way beyond her job to enhance Dad’s life. As an example of the company’s dedication, when one of Dad’s carers was unavoidably delayed, both the Managing Director and live-in care manager both stepped in to look after Dad until the carer arrived. Outstanding service and a really friendly, helpful team.
Thank you for your kind words, Christina. The whole team love working with dad and are very fond of him. It warms our hearts to see him so happy at home, it is an honour for us to be able to provide Live-in care for him.
My mother has dementia and a lovely lady from Amily Homecare comes in for 2 hours a week to give my father some respite. My mum does activities with this lady, painting, flower arranging, etc and I believe the stimulation helps with my mum's dementia. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind review, Suzy. Our carer enjoys her visits with your mum, it is great for us to hear their working relationship is growing from strength to strength.
Amily staff are excellent with their care of my mum. They are sensitive to her needs and wishes and are very responsive to any requests. They use an app which is very useful in finding out how my mum is each day.
Thank you, Phil, it is great for us to receive feedback on the service we provide. The app is an excellent tool for keeping families in the loop with care packages and we are glad you find this useful.
Just under 2 years ago my wife passed away leaving me in a large house without any help. Fortunately, a good friend of mine immediately recommended Amily Homecare, from then on my life completely changed as I was introduced to the company owner and the live-in care manager. The first action they took was an assessment of my requirements and personality in my home which resulted in a suitable carer to stay with me on a trial basis. All carers appointed were excellent cooks, but above all showed great competency towards the timing of administrating my medication due to my Parkinson's and a weak heart. All carers provided through Amily were of a similar personality with great devotion to duty. I am now settled with regular carers and I also receive consistent visits from the live-in care manager and owner of Amily to check that everything is well. I haven't felt as healthy or content for a long time, I highly recommend Amily to provide a suitable carer for any client.
Thank you for your lovely review, John. It fills the whole team with so much joy to see you so happy and settled. It is our pleasure at Amily Homecare to provide your live-in care service.
Amily were absolutely wonderful with mum from the very beginning of the short time they were with us. The Manager was an absolute marvel, organising an incredibly caring live-in carer at short notice who treated mum like a family member and kept us updated every day. The Manager then tirelessly sourced extra support and equipment day after day as mum's needs changed. We couldn't have managed without Amily as they allowed mum to have a comfortable and dignified end of life in her own home according to her wishes and we felt confident that all her needs were met.
Thank you for the lovely words, Clare. It was an honour for our whole team to care for your mum and ensure her wishes and needs were met. We were all very fond of her.
My Mother was looked after by Amily Homecare for nearly 2 years. From the initial visit to set up the contract, dealing with all the various NHS services, all the dedicated 24/7 care right up to her passing, the Amily Homecare team have been exemplary. My trust had to be placed with them completely due to the 600-mile distance I was from my Mother's home and also given the pandemic and ban on travel from Scotland to England. There was not a single situation that was not dealt with professionally and appropriately. I cannot thank Amily Homecare enough for everything they did for my Mother, she was well cared for and happy. I would recommend Amily Homecare without any hesitation whatsoever.
Thank you, David. It means a lot to us that you had complete trust in the team to care for your mother as you live so far away. It was a pleasure for us to care for your mother and the whole team was very fond of her.
Amily Homecare have been a massive support to me over the last 4 years, I really don't know what I would have done without them. First, they cared for my Mum through her final year right up to her end of life and since then have been carers for my Dad, who has gone on to now need 24-hour care. I have found their level of communication, experience and reliability to be excellent, they adapt to not only my Dads needs but mine as a daughter and carer in any way they can. I feel very lucky that I found Amily Homecare and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an agency.
Thank you for your kind words, Julie. It has been a pleasure for the whole team to work alongside you to not only care for your mum but also now to provide care for your dad.
Wonderful 24-hour live-in care for my mother for the last 4- 5 months! We were told to expect the worst earlier this year and now mum is eating well, up and moving around etc and we even took her out for a few hours a few weeks ago, amazing as I never thought Mum would leave her house again. The carer evens helps her to walk a little way outside which make her feel she is not trapped in her house. The carers have been so patient and caring. A big thank you to them all.
Thank you for your kind words. It is wonderful for us to see the progress your mother has made, it is a pleasure for the whole team to provide care and support to her.
Have used Amily for the past 16 months for my 84-year-old mother. I have found all staff to be very helpful, courteous and respectful towards my mum and I. Nothing is to difficult during their daily visits. I would highly recommend Amily.
Thank you for your kind words, Richard, the staff have built strong relationships with your mother and all enjoy visiting her.
My partner of almost 39 years has final stages of dementia. Until Amily come along I managed on my own but only just. As I work five days a week, the girls from Amily come and look after my partner twice a day. I prepare her drugs in the morning, check her blood sugar and give her the daily insulin shot. Amily then come in, get her washed, do her hair, give her breakfast and coffee and water and make sure her drugs are dispensed. They come back lunchtime and give her food and drink. They often wash up and tidy up for us. My partner has got used to the girls from Amily now and they are an absolute Godsend to both of us. I could not go to work and pay the bills without the help they give my partner and the relief they give me, knowing she is well looked after. Any problems they phone me and it gets sorted, although this is very rare.
Peter, thank you for your lovely words. The staff love caring for your partner and we are glad we can help you in being able to continue with your work.
The carers I receive are all very friendly. They are reassuring, too, so you feel relaxed in their care. They are thorough in their work, and are polite and, where necessary, very resourceful!
I hope I never have to use another care agency. Amily is the best I have ever had, and I mean that wholeheartedly. You just can’t go wrong!
Thank you Kelly, the whole team love working with you and it means a lot to us that you are happy too.
I would not hesitate to recommend Amily. My mum's regular carer, who helps my mother to get up, showered and dressed is punctual, caring and considerate to my mother's moods/condition. We have had different carers from Amily too and all have been really cheerful and professional.
Thank you Alison, it is a pleasure for our staff to look after your mum.
One does not only get the carer assigned but also back-up as needed from their supervisor who is excellent.
Thank you for your kind words David, it was a pleasure for our domiciliary, live-in care staff and office team to care for your mother.
My friend could not have had better care, she is now stronger after being given regular and nourishing meals. Her carers, although she has dementia, have formed positive relationships with her, and she is very happy now in spite of her many health problems. She sees her carers as good friends. The care staff can get support and help from a dedicated Manager who oversees them and is on hand to help sort out any difficulties.
Everyone at Amily is extremely approachable and go out of their way to provide excellent care for the client. I would fully recommend them to provide care for anyone in need.
Thank you for your kind words. The staff love caring for your friend and we are all glad she is doing so well.

Meet the Team (7)
I have a variety of skills and knowledge having worked in the care sector for over 25 years and in a number of settings including hospitals, care homes and within domiciliary care. Within my role as Care Manager, I have a true passion for working with individuals to lead the lives they deserve whilst remaining in the comfort of their own homes.
I have strong beliefs that people should treat others as they would expect to be treated themselves and demonstrate this by expecting a high standard of work and professionalism from my colleagues. Throughout my previous employment, I have established and maintained good working relationships with social services which has already had an impact on the growth of the business. At the end of the working day, I like to go home knowing that I have helped make a difference.
I joined the management team after working with Amily Homecare initially as a carer. Prior to this, I had been in a senior role within a care home. I have a true passion for working with more vulnerable clients including those with dementia and people at the end of their life - and take huge pride in knowing I have made a difference to someone’s day. I approach my work treating people how I would expect my parents to be cared for by showing dignity, and respect and providing the quality of care they deserve. I have built strong relationships with all of our clients and am looking forward to growing the live-in care service with the same care, compassion and commitment.
As the Live In Care Manager, I will be ensuring the highest quality of care is given to our more vulnerable clients who require 24/7 support whilst being able to remain in their own homes.
As Field Care Supervisor, I meet and greet clients and our carers in the community - conducting assessments, gaining feedback and ensuring our work is conducted to the high standards we expect of our carers.
I have five years’ experience in the field of social care recruitment and ten years’ experience in the homelessness sector – having worked with a wide and diverse range of support needs. These have involved working with some highly challenging and complex issues – from severe mental health, drug and alcohol, and autism, through to working with ex-offenders, refugees, those escaping domestic violence etc.
I have a simple view when it comes to running the business – we’ll look after the carers and the carers will in turn look after the clients. It’s a methodology and an approach that’s been working well to date and has been helping us build a strong reputation in the care sector.
I worked for a number of years as a full-time Carer to two elderly clients – one with physical health & mobility issues and another with Alzheimer’s. Having witnessed the level of care provided by other service providers – I knew there was a demand for good workers who could both fulfil their duties and responsibilities and who were also sociable and were comfortable spending some time with their clients. It is from this seed that Amily Homecare was born.
I am convinced that connecting and relating to people is the difference between average care and high-quality care and this is the message I strive to spread throughout the organisation. Before this, I had over a decade’s previous experience working in healthcare, homelessness and with younger women.
I have over 20 years experience of working with mental health, homelessness, domestic abuse & drug and alcohol dependency issues. In my time, I have gained a solid reputation with the social workers and social care teams I liaise with for taking on clients with more challenging and complex needs. This is due to my skills and approach in patiently working with the more vulnerable members of our communities to assist them develop their confidence and self-esteem to ultimately get them to a better place within themselves and their circumstances.
I like to think I am patient, relaxed and reassuring when working with clients who require that little bit more emotional & psychological support.
I have been working in the care sector for over 40 years, starting in nursing and progressing through to a care manager in a residential home. I then moved into domiciliary care, where l became interested in supporting staff through training, which enabled me to progress further. As a trainer, I have undertaken several qualifications to enable me to become a Registered Health Care Trainer. I still undertake regular updates to keep my knowledge current.
Central to my role is to pass on best practices to enable the care staff to deliver the best possible care to our clients. This also fulfils regulatory requirements, as well as supporting the staff in gaining the relevant qualifications to assist them in their role.
