I first contacted In Home Care in October, when my Dad's health had declined, due to terminal cancer and he needed daily help. They were instantly helpful, answering my call at a weekend and were flexible about timings, as, at the time, we really weren't sure exactly what Dad needed. The team swiftly
built up a rapport with my Dad and it was a comfort to know that he was getting the help he needed, on a daily basis. Whilst friendly and down to earth, they were also proactive and professional, noticing he needed to change his meds and contacting his GP so that we didn't have to. Some minor constructive feedback: on a couple of occasions, the time that the carers had been rota'd to visit my Dad was different to that on the timetable we had been provided. e.g. arriving at 7am when we were expecting them at 8am. And sometimes the staff visiting could have been a little tidier, leaving a few items on the floor that should have gone in the bin. Overall, a great team who I would recommend.

Thank you so much for your lovely kind words. It was such a pleasure to provide care for your Dad, he really was a character who I know all the carers loved going to see. It is really comforting to know that the care we provided was warm, efficient and friendly. We always strive to provide the best care possible and build them all-important rapports which I know was made between Dad and his carers.
I have taken on board all your feedback as all feedback is valued and vital as we continuously strive to improve our services. Thank you again I will ensure all your comments are fed back accordingly.

The whole team at In Home Care are a delight to work alongside. We hold Power of Attorney for an elderly client and the care team visit them daily to provide shopping, care and companionship. They really do go the extra mile to assist when we are unable to visit the client ourselves due to current health
restrictions. Our client recently went into hospital and it is the care team at In Home Care who are in continuous contact with the hospital and provide updates to all other professionals involved in the care and well being of the client. We would highly recommend their services.

We have always felt trust in the staff and everyone is very pleasant. Generally, it gives us peace of mind to know Dad does have some contact every day. There seem to be so many different care personnel, which doesn’t help to build any relationships with Dad, who would, in any case, have a problem to
recognise new faces. Some staff take time to talk with Dad, but some fill out the book and leave directly, without trying to engage him in conversation and can only be present for barely ten minutes.

Reply from Lauren Mortimer, Registered Manager at In Home Care - Chichester & Bognor

Thank you for taking the time and sending through a review on the services we provide for Dad. It's lovely to hear that having our services in place gives you both peace of mind and that you feel our care staff are always pleasant. I am also pleased that following on from your review we have managed to discuss and implement some ways to help Dad engage in conversation and to build them all important relationships. Thank you again, I look forward to the positive outcomes.

My family have been using In Home Care Ltd for a long time now for the care of my father. He has had Alzheimer's disease since 2014. In Home Care Ltd visit my father for two hours every day to provide him with a cooked lunch and companionship. Communication from the carers is not digital and so during
the pandemic, it has been difficult to know what's happening. The communication from the carers is paper-based in his home. Due to his condition, it is difficult to get his views of the service they provide to him. However, I feel they know him well now and understand most of his needs and ways. I expect his care needs will increase and he will require further input by In Home Care Ltd in the future.

Thank you for taking the time and sending through a review on the services we provide for Dad. I am pleased to hear that you feel you could call on our services to increase care in the future if needed, we will always adapt care at any time to ensure all needs are being met. I am also pleased that after receiving this review we have been able to put in place weekly updates and shopping lists so you are more involved and aware of how your Dad's care is going and what meals are being prepared and served. We recognise and understand how important it is to keep people connected at this difficult time of COVID-19. Thank you again and I hope the weekly updates allow you to be more involved with Dad's care.

We are extremely happy with the care my mother-in-law receives. The carers are very respectful and caring towards Mum. They meet all her needs and often go above and beyond what's expected of them. At the moment, it's the only social contact she receives due to restrictions, so we value their twice-daily
visits. They are always bright, cheerful and chatty. They are very vigilant in noting and reporting any changes they see in Mum, which is very reassuring for us.

My dear Mum was fortunate enough to be cared for by In Home Care in late 2020. Throughout the final weeks of her life, the manager and the team helped make her final days as comfortable as possible. It was Mum's wish to remain at home, and the incredible team made this time easy and pleasant. Nothing
was too much trouble. The team did not just care for Mum though. My sister and I felt truly held by their knowledge, skill and support as we navigated the bewildering array of symptoms, medications and different medical staff. Although such situations are familiar to those for whom it is a vocation, we felt confused and at times, overwhelmed. Each and every one of the team helped us to relax and be our best selves for the time Mum had left. My mum's favourite saying in this last chapter of her life was "No bother". In Home Care helped to ensure that there was no bother for either her or our family. We are grateful for all that you did for us and continue to do for so many others.

To hear your feedback is so touching and I know all of Mum's care team will be overjoyed by your words.

Early days... Home Care started supporting Mum just over 3-weeks ago, visiting 3-times a day, however, the experience to date has been good starting with the initial visit and now the daily visits by the team who are very friendly. They treat Mum with care and respect and are willing to do anything
asked.

I have found In Home Care to be very professional, efficient and very caring. They go the extra mile to make sure my father is cared for and also they make sure I'm ok as my father's live-in carer. The office managers and staff are always accommodating in making sure we are happy. I was astonished how
quickly they got everything in place regarding training on certain equipment my father needs so that they could start caring for my father. I now get respite every day because of their prompt action. I would 100% recommend In Home Care to anyone who wants a care agency who go the extra mile to make sure all care needs are covered. I couldn't thank them enough.

I have certainly managed to curtail my day time drinking as I was before I was admitted to hospital. It's really ok to have somewhere to live after a large loss of mum's property. The care staff who see me are kind and my meds are taken as I do, quite happy with my meds.

Generally, good care to the level my father needs, the only area which needs improvement is meal provision.
Carers seem very keen on cold food as it is easier to serve, but requests for simple hot dishes seem to be beyond them, some seem to lack basic cooking skills, all should be able to fry or scramble
an egg or make mince and onions which takes a few seconds.
I am aware their time is limited, but some basics seem lacking, also should be able to tell the difference between a request for a breakfast yoghurt and instead of being served a chocolate mousse, which has happened a couple of times.
All other areas are ok.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this valuable review, and for pointing out the areas in which we can improve our services to you. Based on your feedback we have today actioned these concerns and shall be in touch to discuss further. We are very pleased to say we are introducing a basic ‘cooking lesson’ for all carers who may not be confident in this area to enable them to provide simple cooked foods as required. We are very proud of our team and love to improve the service we offer our clients; we really look forward to your next review.

My 92-year-old mother recently went to hospital with a blood infection. Previously to that, she was an independent lady.
On her return, she became immobile and extra care was needed. This was a new experience for us all difficult and upsetting.
Then the In Home Care company came to our rescue.
Reliable,
knowledgeable, compassionate and everything you could hope for. On day one they supported us in an efficient, no-nonsense, kind way which has turned things around. I would like to send my particular thanks to the deputy manager who is exceptional, organising everything required including going out of her way. For example, when a hospital table was required and nobody else would help us. The deputy manager sourced one on an online auction site for ten pounds and delivered it the next day out of her work hours.
I have been in business for many years and have never been more impressed with the efficiency of a company like this.
The team of ladies who help us, we call The Care Bears are all lovely. Thank you all so much.

Alongside family members, meal deliveries, visiting hairdresser and chiropodist, In Home Care have been a critical and reliable part of the care package for my 95-year-old mother for the last 3-years. This has enabled Mum to continue to live semi-independently in her own apartment. The carers have developed
a friendship with her and she trusts them. In Home Care respond quickly and flexibly when any changes to the Care Plan are needed. Throughout the long period of Covid-19 related restrictions which have confined Mum and other residents to her development, In Home Care have performed with great professionalism which has helped to keep the whole development safe with no reported cases of the virus. Thank you!

The first time you have carers coming to your home can be quite unsettling. The fact of having strangers coming in throughout your day - can feel an intrusion of your space. We have been lucky. To start with we have mainly the same carers. This makes less of an intrusion. A chance t get to know each
other and better for the person receiving care. They get a chance to build up a friendship and trust, which is important, especially for the person receiving personal care.

We have found In Home Care to be very supportive with regards to our Mother's ongoing care needs. Mum has formed a good relationship with her primary carer who visits her daily, morning and evening. She is slowly developing a good bond of trust which has made both her and our lives run more smoothly.

I began my journey in the care industry in 2016, initially driven by a personal motivation—to better understand how to support my mum in her care needs. What started as a practical decision quickly became a genuine passion. I found great fulfilment in the ability to positively impact others' lives, and I’ve never looked back.

Since then, I have worked exclusively in domiciliary care, a field I have come to deeply respect and value for its unique ability to support individuals in maintaining independence in their own homes. In 2020, I joined In Home Care during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, working as a carer in our Horndean branch. It was a particularly challenging time for the sector, but it also reinforced my commitment to providing consistent, compassionate, and high-quality care.

After just eight months, I was promoted to Senior Carer, recognising my reliability, dedication, and ability to support both clients and colleagues. Two years later, I progressed further to become a Field Care Supervisor, taking on increased responsibilities such as supervising care staff, conducting assessments, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong communication between office and field teams. At this time, I also transferred to our Chichester branch, where I continued to grow professionally.

My development continued, and I was proud to be promoted to Deputy Manager in August 2025 and to Branch Manager.. In this leadership role, I now support the overall coordination and quality assurance of our services, work closely with care teams to ensure high standards, and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Throughout my career, I have actively pursued training and professional development opportunities. I completed my Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with distinction, and I am now preparing to enrol in my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. I have also completed specialist training, including Infection Control Champion and Cyber Security Champion training, helping to reinforce safety and best practice within the organisation. Additionally, I have served as both an Induction Trainer and First Aid Trainer, supporting new staff with onboarding and essential skills development.

At the heart of everything I do is a desire to make a genuine difference in people’s lives. I take pride in the relationships I build with clients and their families, and I am committed to leading by example—ensuring care is delivered with dignity, respect, and professionalism always. I look forward to continuing my journey in care, developing as a leader, and helping to shape the future of high-quality domiciliary services.
