Funding & Fees
Daily Charges per Person
- Hourly Visiting Care Fees: £36.65 - £38
- Weekly Live-in Care Fees: £1,690 - £1,910
Our fees cover the cost of a fully managed service, the cost of the dedicated carer, the management of your care and a care manager who will make sure you are happy every step of the way.
For couples, a live-in carer is a fantastic option as we only make a small additional charge for the extra person needing care. If your relative lives alone, having a live-in carer is a viable option, as the costs compare favourably to that of a care home.
We know how important it is that your relative builds a strong bond with their carer, and we will provide a dedicated carer that they can get to know well.
It can be hard to make that first phone call to us, but there really is no obligation, and we are more than happy to talk through the different options with you so you can make an informed decision.

A particular member of staff has been extremely competent in all she has done here; also providing companionship to us both. She is always cheerful and carries out her duties quietly, efficiently and with integrity. She has become a good friend! Nothing is too difficult for her and it is a pleasure to see her each morning.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We know how important it is for our clients and carers to build up a good relationship, and love to hear the positive difference that this can make to our client's wellbeing.
Our carer was wonderful and did a brilliant job looking after my mother. Whilst this was for a respite care only, I know we will use them again in the future.
Thank you everyone for coming to our rescue!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It can be a challenge to put care in place in a short space of time, but one that the whole team is always willing to take on when a client is in need, receiving feedback such as this makes a real positive impact to all involved,...
They had great sympathy for our immediate needs and have done all they can to help. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a care package, and they will tailor it to fit exactly with your own personal requirements. It’s been a genuine pleasure working with them, nothing has been too much trouble.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's a pleasure to be able to help.
Ashridge provided live-in care for my stepmother for getting on for two years. Over this period they placed some really excellent carers with my stepmother, and who almost became part of the family. In the run-up to her passing peacefully at home last month the level and quality of care was exceptional. I would not hesitate to recommend Ashridge Home Care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review. We know how important it is for our clients to remain at home for their end-of-life care, so to receive such positive feedback about the quality care received at this time means a great deal to us and the care team.
From the very first time I called, the staff at Ashridge were so kind, helpful, knowledgeable and professional, and made the whole process so straightforward and stress-free, at a very worrying time for us all.
Both carers who came to help look after Dad were knowledgeable, kind and so helpful, always treating Dad with the utmost dignity and respect.
Thank you so much for everything.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this wonderful review. It is so rewarding for all the team to know they were able to make a difference and help to manage what we know can be a difficult time for all the family. We have shared this feedback with your father's carers, and the Care Management team.
Mum could come out of hospital but social services weren't able to provide the necessary support. We contacted a staff member and she immediately leapt into action, visiting Mum in hospital and understanding her needs, matching her with the fabulous and kind carers who held the fort at very short notice for 24 hours. Mum was so happy to get home and loved having the carer stay with her, probably the first time in her 86 years that she's had someone solely focused on looking after her. It put our minds at rest having someone keep an eye on her and we were so glad she was there when Mum had a medical emergency. She managed the situation in a calm and caring manner. The staff member has kept in touch throughout the placement, always thoughtful and helpful. It is an expensive service but we consider it money well spent. Thank you to all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a review. Being able to support in emergency situations like this can make such a difference to the person and their family, I am so pleased we were able to do that for you and your mum. Getting the balance right for the benefit of all is not always easy to achieve. Your comments are greatly appreciated and will be shared with our carers.
My carer was a nice person to have around. She was always cheerful and would do what was asked and was discreet, withdrawing when guests arrived. She was quite disorganised, often leaving me to sort myself out. Unused to making a bed, preparing a hot water bottle, general tidying up or cleaning the house. She ate her own meals when she felt like it, with no fixed times. A good cook with vegetables, no desserts or fruit. She enjoyed popping out to the shop, five minutes walk away. To begin with, she monitored my physio and was careful about times for pills. Perhaps respite care is not her strong point.
We always appreciate our clients taking the time to provide feedback. Whilst it’s great that you felt your carer was a nice person, we are very sorry to hear that there were elements you were not happy with. I am sure we would all agree that it’s never easy to share your home with someone, even if...
I couldn't recommend Ashridge enough basically and thank them for their help in what could've been a stressful time.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your rating is very important to everyone at Ashridge, whether they are a member of the care management team or our carers. It is also wonderful to highlight how successful live-in care can be and the difference it can make. Please know how much it is appreciated.
Having stressed the relevant aspects of my husband's needs I was very impressed by how carefully they matched him and how supportive they were in assisting when I couldn't understand some aspects of the care plan I needed to complete.
An outstanding carer came twice since then, first for 2 weeks and in October for 3 weeks. It is because my husband knew he was in good hands the first time that I was able to go on a longer holiday in October.
Any concerns or queries I had have been instantly responded to. I also know from our experienced carer that he considers Ashridge to be the most professional and caring organisation he's ever worked for.
Thank you so much for taking the time to offer us some feedback. Understanding what our clients need will make our service tailored and person-centred, which is key. It is wonderful to know that we have been able to achieve this for you both. Your comments are greatly appreciated and will be shared with our team.
If you use this agency, please ensure the live-in carer has read and agrees to follow the Care Plan before the contract begins. I had a poor experience arising from the fact that the agency had failed to check that the carer had read and was happy to follow the care plan. As a consequence, I had to ask the carer to leave. A care plan read and agreed upon by all parties is the basis for a successful working relationship and more importantly a happy outcome for the client. What happened was a contradiction to the message Ashridge had presented when the agency first visited our home to discuss our requirements. Perhaps I was too star-struck by their recent award as a 'winning home care provider' to scrutinise them sufficiently or perhaps we were just unlucky. What I do know is that I feel fortunate that I was living in the home at the time.
Thank you for taking the time to offer a review. I am very sorry that you feel the way you do. Our mission is all about supporting people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible and to provide our clients with good care, it is therefore very disappointing and sad that we were not able...
My husband at 92 needed care when I had to visit my family in Scandinavia for 10 days. A lovely person arrived, and Anna took the weight off my shoulders allowing me to see my family after nearly five years and leave my husband (and an 11-year-old yellow Labrador) in her care which was brilliant, she had the patience, skills to personal care including 'judging' the character of all (human and dogs!). She was an angel for us, nothing was too much for her, she fed the boys, took them for walks, made sure all was comfortable when I returned, my house was spotless, my husband was very happy and the dog didn't want her to go either. We need more human beings like her, thoughtful, kind, beautifully caring and very intelligent. It turned out to be a perfect match thank you, and we are very grateful for our 'angel'. Bless you all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. I'm so glad that you were able to have a relaxing trip and left your husband and dog in the safe hands of our wonderful carer!
Totally satisfactory.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your rating is very important to us and a reflection of the great work our carers do.
Ashridge Home Care have been caring for my mum for the last few years. They have been amazing in every way. Mum struggles with dementia and is unable to do certain things, but the extraordinary care and support offered by Ashridge allow her to live joyously and fulfillingly day by day. They ensure the chores are done, they ensure the routines are organised and they ensure there is happiness in all of this. Thank you!
Hi Jason, thank you for taking the time to review our service. We value your feedback and will share this with the team. It is our pleasure to provide the care for your mother. Best wishes, the Ashridge Care team.
Their supportive, caring, compassionate and trustworthy care of my mother-in-law was second to none and we know that we can always rely on Ashridge Home Care to be there for us whether it be last minute or pre-planned. We have always found the carers to be respectful, considerate and appropriate to my mother-in-law's needs whether it be personal care or being a reassuring presence in our home. I can wholeheartedly recommend Ashridge Home Care for the care of your loved one.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Carol. We value your feedback to share the team who are critical to the work we do. It was our pleasure to provide the care for your mother-in-law. Best wishes, Mitch and the Ashridge Care team.
I could not be happier with the care and service provided by the team at Ashridge Home Care. They have helped our family out at short notice and when we were most in need of help and support. They provided short-term assistance every day for my mother-in-law as she settled back into her home after emergency surgery and helped her regain her confidence to be independent once more. They currently also provide daily help for my elderly mother, greeting her each morning with a cheerful smile and sorting her breakfast. Mornings are a time when she is most vulnerable and to have someone there first thing to start her day and ensure she is ok is such a relief for me and my sisters. We are so grateful to have the attentive and professional support of our Ashridge carer and would recommend them most highly. As a family, we do what we can to assist our Mum but sometimes you just need that extra help and Ashridge Home Care will always be the first place we turn to.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. We value your feedback to share with our carers who are critical to the work we do at Ashridge. It was our pleasure to provide the care for your mother-in-law. Best wishes, Mitch and the Ashridge Care team.
We were so pleased with the care provided. Ashridge Home Care assured me that they would do their best to find the “right” carer for my mother and I feel that they really did. The person chosen was extremely attentive to the needs of my mother and was just a lovely, kind person. Thank you.
Thank you for the positive review. We value your feedback to share with our carers who are critical to the work we do at Ashridge. It was our pleasure to provide the care for your mother.
Excellent care both from live-in carers who in the main, were exceptional. Am now having daycare carers who again are very good. As I have had a fair number of replacements (4 so far, 2 still to be done!) I have used three local care agencies and Ashridge Care is, without doubt, the most caring and exceptional group of ladies ever. They even put up with my neurotic fads with a smile and most importantly we have so many laughs!
Thank you, Val, for the kind review. We value your feedback to share with our carers who are fundamental to the work we do at Ashridge. It is our pleasure to provide your care.
We have been with Ashridge Home Care Ltd since February 2021 when they were first recommended to us for live-in care for our father, a dementia sufferer who passed away in October 2021. We have continued with live-in care for Mother who is an Alzheimer's sufferer since Father's passing. Ashridge seamlessly changed our carers to suit our mother's needs. We have been blessed with the carers we have had in place. Mum's carer now is exceptional and the support, love, and care we receive is beyond remarkable.
Thank you for the kind review. We value this feedback to share with our carers who are fundamental to the work we do at Ashridge. It was our pleasure to provide care for your father and remains our pleasure to provide care for your mother.
Following our unsatisfactory experience with another agency, Ashridge took over my son's live-in care at short notice. Their provision has been exemplary, with both live-in and respite carers "giving (my son) his life back", in his words. All the carers and support team clearly have the client's interests at heart and go the extra mile to ensure this.
Thank you so much for the kind review. We value this feedback to share with our carers who are vital to the work we do. I am pleased that we were able to help your son and give him the support he needed.
Just before Christmas my 88-year-old husband who has vascular dementia suffered a crisis. We were woefully unprepared and realised hands-on help was needed. Ashridge Home Care assessed the situation and found us a live-in carer at very short notice. He was wonderful, a perfect match for my husband. Our carer was calm, experienced with dementia, patient, and very kind. He showed us how to cope with physical limitations and established a daily routine as well as advising about what practical aids we needed long-term. Most of all, he was a joyful, positive presence in our household. He treated my husband with respect, encouraging him to focus on what he can do, not what he has lost. He stayed with us for 8 weeks; in that time, my husband recovered remarkably well. Ultimately, they were doing gardening together and going for short walks. He left us in an excellent state and phoned 2 days later to see how we were coping. I highly recommend Ashridge Home Care. You will be in safe hands.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, it is so important for carers to see feedback like this, it only helps them to continue doing wonderful work. I am so pleased that we were able to help your husband and to give you the support you needed.
