Funding & Fees
Daily Charges per Person
- Hourly Visiting Care Fees: £36.65 - £38
- Weekly Live-in Care Fees: £1,690 - £1,910
Our fees cover the cost of a fully managed service, the cost of the dedicated carer, the management of your care and a care manager who will make sure you are happy every step of the way.
For couples, a live-in carer is a fantastic option as we only make a small additional charge for the extra person needing care. If your relative lives alone, having a live-in carer is a viable option, as the costs compare favourably to that of a care home.
We know how important it is that your relative builds a strong bond with their carer, and we will provide a dedicated carer that they can get to know well.
It can be hard to make that first phone call to us, but there really is no obligation, and we are more than happy to talk through the different options with you so you can make an informed decision.
More fee information can be found on our website.

Ashridge Home Care have been providing home care for my relative over the past two years. In the past month, they have exceeded my expectations by suggesting increased support to help in a difficult and sensitive situation. The live-in carer they suggested on a trial basis was excellent and provided the necessary care for my relative. A satisfactory solution was reached for all. Ashridge Home Care have the best interest of their clients and I am so pleased that I have used their services.
Ashridge have previously helped out with stand-in care for my Mum who suffers from Parkinson's with Dementia. At the beginning of this month, she suffered a setback and was admitted to hospital whereupon it became clear that live-in care would be more suited along with an additional pair of hands when required. Thankfully the stay in hospital was only short, however, it meant that the care element was urgent. I spoke with their Operations Manager and in the space of 24 hours, we had a plan in place with all bases covered! Absolutely amazing. Thank you to all the team, you are all such a pleasure to work with. 5-stars all round.
The care I receive from my carer and Ashridge is more than satisfactory in every way! I also always receive lovely flowers, cards and gifts for birthdays, Christmas and Easter from the office - very thoughtful.
Visited recently and met the carer for the first time in person, due to lockdown. I was greeted warmly at the door, the house was very clean, tidy and Dad's lunch was ready on the table, freshly prepared exactly as he likes it with home made bread. Dad is clearly being helped in an appropriate way for his needs which are getting more, due to his age. The carer gets up during the night, every night, to make sure he's safe going to the toilet. She manages dealing with the GP, taking samples, collecting prescriptions and doing extra bits of shopping. She seems completely not phased by anything that she has had to do. Accompanies by taxi when needed, takes her time off to suit Dad's needs and timings and is very unobtrusive in his daily life but there when needed. Dealing with the office has been very easy, mostly done by email but phone calls are also answered promptly and efficiently. Arrangement for changeover of carers after Christmas was handled well, despite lockdown uncertainties. Communications are good.
My wife and I have arranged PA/companionship visits by Ashridge for an elderly neighbour, working closely with her son who lives abroad. At every point in the process - assessment of care needs, advice on options, drawing up the care plan, selecting the appropriate PA/companion, reviewing the implementation of the plan - we have found Ashridge totally professional, caring and easy to work with. We find them totally reliable and we (and our friend's son) feel very reassured that we can rely on a care provider with such experience and expertise. In approaching her task, the Ashridge Companion has shown not only kindness and consideration but also considerable resilience and imagination in building a relationship with our friend and showing in what ways she can help her. Ashridge are very well networked into other support mechanisms and have been instrumental in getting our friend into a local Day Centre once a week and arranging a team of neighbours to provide transport. Highly recommended.
I have nothing but praise for them and hope they continue to be successful.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. It is an absolute pleasure to work with you.
She is a very caring, sympathetic person, a really lovely person always there when needed. Very supportive in every way. Does her job with dignity and quietness to an excellent standard.
The support was set up almost straight away. There were very difficult times right from the beginning but these were managed. Due to my cousin and I, who have lasting power of attorney, living many miles away and Auntie having no family of her own, we were very dependent upon the Ashridge Home Care staff. The two main carers and particularly the one which did the most weeks were excellent in their support. Relief staff had difficulties especially because they were strangers to Auntie.
When my aunt's carer had her well-earned breaks the agency made sure the relief carers had become familiar to my aunt before they took over, which eased the transition.
Eventually, a move into residential care became necessary, but I am so grateful that my aunt's regular carers wonderful care allowed her to stay in her own home for as long as possible. Many thanks to her and everyone at Ashridge Home Care.
She has been absolutely miraculous giving the excellent and vital care they so desperately needed. I can’t recommend Ashridge more highly.
My mother's most recent Ashridge carer was outstanding in all respects. She was an extremely kind, highly competent carer whose dedication to my mother was exceptional in all respects. I am very happy knowing that their time together was so positive.
Continuity, professionalism, compassion and empathy gave her a reason to get up in the morning.
Mum is 91-years-old, thank you Ashridge.
They dealt with queries promptly and were always available when I made contact.
I felt fully supported and reassured by the agency and would highly recommend them.
The agency is run by super people who are caring, thoughtful about needs, courteous and respectful. The two carers we have worked with are themselves delightful people who have made a huge difference to our father's life. Both are calm, warm, helpful people who do not patronise and have provided our father with excellent care and company.
We have had an excellent experience with Ashridge Home Care so far. From initial contact right through to my father’s ongoing daily care, my brother and I are very impressed. We feel supported by the office and the carers are wonderful. My dad is looking so much better having spent three months in a care home, where we feel he did not flourish. Now he is able to live in his own surroundings and be really nurtured and cared for. It is such a weight off of our shoulders to know that my dad is as happy as he can be, after having lost his wife and our mum last year.
Thank you for the feedback. It's a pleasure to be able to help your father remain at home with all the help he needs to do so.
We have all had support in seeking NHS long term help sadly lacking despite 4 Section 3 detainments. There is a true understanding of the limited treatment offered by medication and a concerted effort to enrich the life of a sufferer.
The Live-in Carer proved valuable for our son and gave us respite for a year but sadly financially it was not possible to continue.
But our son now has a midday daily visit of 2 hrs from a Carer of his age with a similar sense of humour and intellectual competence.
It gives him stimulation and companionship in a safe environment and we appreciate the practical help given to our son in clearing debris from his room! He first met this man introduced by Ashridge when he went to the Psychiatric Unit and took our son out and we are all so grateful.
Once the immediate emergency need was addressed, Ashridge were then able to do a full assessment and provided a carer who is fully able to meet the needs of my mother who is a challenging Alzheimer’s sufferer. The carer is also looking after both my parents with amazing meals and general home help. I have also been impressed with the management in terms of organisation and support of the carer in situ.
Ashridge Home Care - Care is their biggest asset, they provided continuous support to the client and clients husband.
Help was needed straight away as the client's 80-year-old husband couldn’t cope, circumstances changed in a day.
Ashridge's experienced admin staff came to the rescue themselves until a suitable carer was free, when there was they were constantly in touch to make sure that the care was as expected.
Delighted in every way. Thank you.
Very efficient service. Any that assist me is first class.
