Overall Experience
The care my husband is receiving is of a very high standard. The carers have all demonstrated they have the attributes to successfully care for an elderly, blind client. They are very kind, able to empathise, very aware of cross-infection and carry out procedures as necessary.
On entering his room, they introduce themselves so he is aware who is calling for him and what procedures they are undertaking. They have a lovely rapport with him evident by the chatting and laughter.

I appreciate that they always enquire how I am.

Overall Experience

Excellent service provided. I have found from the outset that all staff (from managers to carers) most professional and accommodating of both my mother's needs and mine. Managers have without exception informed me of any changes that have to be implemented. Also without exception - every carer has been polite, personable and express their willingness to promote an excellent service and care. Highly recommended.

Overall Experience

My mother receives support with daily living tasks, medication, maintenance of her legs washing/dressing. All the carers are well-presented and professional in their care of Mam. We have had a few hiccups during the course of her care but nothing that hasn't been resolved quickly with a phone call to the office. They are a lovely bunch of women, kind and caring.

Overall Experience

All the carers that attend my mother are courteous, patient, considerate and very approachable. They are always well presented and undertake all tasks with a refreshing disposition. Trust and confidence in their interaction is developed if carer calls on a regular basis and bonds formed. This enables my mother to engage in conversation with carer, laugh and smile which I feel is an important and positive bi-product of the call on a daily basis.

Home Care Team were very professional in their care of my mother, but above all, despite the difficulties, they were very caring and compassionate. We, as a family, could not have wished for better support as they cared for us as well. All the carers arrived on time and were extremely courteous. They all had the necessary PPE.

Excellent very reliable service provider. Any adjustments that have had to be implemented have been done so in a timely and professional manner. All staff have been extremely accommodating, friendly, patient and kind with my mum who has late stage Alzheimer's and at times can be difficult. All covid guidelines adhered to. I would recommend Habitat Homecare to anyone looking for a caring and efficient service provider.

I live abroad and other members of my Mums family also live far from her home. During this difficult time with the coronavirus, it has been very reassuring for our family to know that our Mum is receiving excellent home care. She finds all your carers helpful and friendly and looks forward to their visits as highlights in her day. Thank you so much for providing such invaluable health care and mental health support too.

Overall Experience
We used the services for a care package for dad. I found the carers to be professional, punctual, but more importantly, so kind to my dad.
There was a lot of work on each visit, which was handled well, but also my dad was treated like a person, not a number.
All the staff went above and beyond - it often took longer to settle Dad, and he was never left until happy.
One carer came early especially, to help me with Dad for hospital transport - I could not have coped that day on my own - the staff even talked to me and helped me during a difficult time.
My dad is no longer at home, but I can still ring the office for invaluable advice regarding dad.

Highly recommended!

Overall Experience

We receive companionship and personal care service for my uncle. The carers are lovely and have become extended family. They are caring and very thoughtful. Office staff deal with schedule changes quickly. Thank you for the support we receive as without Kare Plus we wouldn't have family time.

Well organised care package. Staff excellent 0 nearly all dedicated to the job, building up a relationship and confidence in the patient. It was a preferred option when the package of care was needed. It feels as if they are a part of the family. Well done!

Very good service, carers polite and carry out tasks well. Don't know which carer is due to arrive but they identify themselves. At the moment I have only one call per week, but would be happy to use the service more if needed.

Overall Experience
I have engaged with the care sector since January, so I am relatively new at this.
My dad has become less mobile and unable to care for himself. The carers I have had looking after dad have been, on the whole, great.
They are a hard working bunch of individuals, some are more thorough than others, but without them, I could not manage.
My main issues are not knowing when they are going to be attending.

I would like more of a schedule and to be notified if they are going to be early or late.

Lisa Buchanan

Lisa lives with their husband Rich and their two children in Swansea. A graduate of Swansea University with a degree in Genetics, Lisa worked in the Science & Research sector for over 17 years before setting up the business in 2015. She is also a Business Wales Mentor and a passionate member of the Gowerton Cricket Club.

Lisa is hugely driven to really make a difference in her local community and puts outcome-focused care and quality customer service at the front of the Habitat Homecare culture.

Roxy George

Roxy has worked in the care sector for many years in a range of settings from challenging behaviour, and mental health to most recently in domiciliary care. Roxy joined the Habitat Homecare Team as a Care Coordinator working her way up with increased responsibilities to her role as Care Manager.
