The carers are both very friendly and nice people, the companionship care is the only time I go out so it is important.
There have been a few last minute changes that sometimes throw me but those can't be helped.
I have really appreciated flexibility and effort going in to being as consistent as
possible, and going the extra mile when I had some confusion last month.

In my opinion bluebird care is a good care for people who are disabled. They manage to clean well, come on time and provide necessary information.

My mother receives home visits from Bluebird Care three times a week. Initially she was unsure about having someone come and visit her in this way, but now she looks forward to the visits and would not be without them. The carers are kind, thoughtful, considerate, patient, caring and professional. This
is backed up by supportive, helpful and caring office staff. It makes such a difference knowing that my mother is in such good hands, and that additional support and guidance is there as and when needed. Many thanks!

Regular prompt visits from team. Always pleasant and thorough care given to my husband who has dementia. Our regular carer always enquires how I am feeling and coping - always nice to hear. My husband looks forward to carers coming. Excellent care service and very informative regarding advice given

My father-in-law likes his Wednesday's with his carer. She is very understanding, caring and considerate. My father-in-law has Alzheimer's and vascular disease which can make him a little agitated sometimes. However, his carer knows how to talk to him. Thank you for all their help and support.

My carers are efficient and polite and helpful. Any change in the rota, even 15 minutes, makes it difficult as I have diabetes and I'm disabled.

Overall Bluebird Care Birmingham East is a great care provider to Mum. From the initial enquiry to the ongoing care they provider we are very pleased. The carers are consistent 9/10 times and they always turn up close to the allocated time, calling us in advance if there's any delays or issues. Mum
has a good relationship with the carers and they treat her and our home with dignity and respect, adapting their work to her individual needs each day when they attend. We've changed the hours and calls once and they've been open and responsive in doing so. Bluebird have been a refreshing change compared to previous providers we have had dealings with. Thanks for all of your support so far.

We have found the company very efficient and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. If a problem arises it is put right straight away. The girls are all polite and willing to do any tasks when asked.

Minnie joined the team recently as the Care Manager, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from both the Social Care and Nursing sectors. Having started in domiciliary care 17 years ago, Minnie’s determination and passion led to her continuing her studies and obtaining a Master’s Degree in Adult Nursing. This career journey has included working in A&E and in Community Nursing as a Senior Registered Nurse, therefore bringing a trove of knowledge, skills and experience to Bluebird Care.


Minnie says “I always aim high and ensure that the quality of care and service being provided by me and those around me is first class. Furthermore, I use my initiative to ensure the smooth running of the care service which is fundamental to the overall functioning of the organisation.
I have worked in partnership with various community services such as District Nurses, GPs, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Continence teams and Speech and Language Therapy teams. This experience will help both our team and Customers at Bluebird Care (Sutton Coldfield & Birmingham East), as working in collaboration with our local Health Care professionals will ensure the best outcomes for those we support. It also opens future opportunities to develop the scope of care we provide at Bluebird Care such as complex care, allowing those with additional needs and requirements within the community to still fulfil their wishes of remaining in their own homes.”

Sian is also the in-house trainer for Medication, Moving & Positioning and Basic Life Support.


Sian ensures the standard of care provided by Bluebird Care Sutton Coldfield & Birmingham East always remains high, through high-quality training and support for staff and regular quality and compliance audits.

Krysty O'Connor

Job Title: Care Coordinator

Joined: 2022

Krysty started her career in the care sector in 2007 and fell in love with the job from the very first client she visited. She joined Bluebird Care in 2022 where her experience, skill set and passion for providing the very best care were quickly recognised and she was promoted to ‘Lead Care Expert’ within the first year. Krysty went on to complete her Level 3 in Health and Social Care and Adult Lead Care Worker in 2023 and soon after was promoted to the Care Coordinator position. In this role, Krysty ensures that the call times are met and that continuity of care.


Krysty says “I love all aspects of my role. I believe everyone deserves the very best care possible and that we should all be the ones to provide that. I have the utmost respect for my team and what we collectively achieve on a daily basis. The Care Experts are all very kind, caring and compassionate, whilst being adaptable to change in every situation.


I have managed to build up a very good rapport with my team on both a professional and personal level; they know we are only a call away.
