We chose Carefound Home Care (Wilmslow) to help look after my parents (in their mid/late 90s) several years ago as my sister and I do not live locally and most of the burden was falling on my dad. We wanted a small, local agency where we could be sure there would be a more personal service and continuity of care, something which was not guaranteed with the bigger agencies. We have not been disappointed and the fact that my parents have the same carer week after week is a big plus. All the carers they have had from Carefound over the years have been kind, caring and efficient and we have been very happy with the service, also from the office staff who are always at the end of the phone. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Carefound Home Care looked after my mum when she was, unfortunately, developing very challenging dementia with hallucinations and agitation during Covid lockdown. My dad was struggling to look after Mum at home and care homes carried a high risk of Covid and its consequences. I can only say the kindness and care that all the staff showed both in the office and the face to face carers was of the highest level. Simply put, my dad couldn’t have done it without you and we will never forget the kindness, patience, empathy and care you all showed. All the carers were excellent but particularly two of the carers were amazing. Mum's needs were eventually too great to be cared for at home but Carefound's care allowed her to stay at home until it was safer to be in a care home and for that we will always be grateful.

Carefound Home Care were invaluable in supporting my mum (failing fast with vascular dementia) and my dad (her primary carer). The carers were hugely competent, compassionate, caring and injected real warmth and humour. They looked after my mum really well, spotted health issues and made excellent suggestions about how to make her home safer for her. They also really supported my dad. They also were very vigilant about keeping my mum and dad safe and it was Carefound that called me to say that the time had come to move Mum into a care home. Since then, the carers in their own time are still popping in to check that my dad is OK. I could not ask for more - exceeded my expectations of carers!

My mum had daily lunchtime support from the wonderful team at Carefound Home Care (Wilmslow) from September 2020 until January 2021 when she moved into residential care. We honestly can’t fault the support she received. She loved the daily visits and the carers were fantastic - so good-humoured and friendly but ever-vigilant in their care of her. The reporting system is fantastic and enabled us to keep the carers up to date with any news affecting Mum as well as hearing daily how the visits had gone, and all this in the midst of the Covid pandemic! We only wish that our relationship with Carefound could have lasted longer. We wholeheartedly recommend their services and wish the whole team every good wish for the future.

I cannot recommend Carefound highly enough. They looked after my granny daily, for months. Every one of the carers loved Granny like she is one of their own, and she feels the same about them. They cared for her with kindness and enthusiasm daily. Mum and I came to rely on them as though they were an extension of us, and we only moved away from Carefound because Granny has moved into residential care. The central admin team is approachable, organised and available 24/7, and their out of hours service is just as good as the rest of their service.

In our experience, Carefound will look after your loved ones well, and come to feel like family.

I would like to see more training in personal care, catheter and showering etc. Also if possible some knowledge of what to expect when caring for Parkinson patients.

A totally committed personal service matched us with a great carer. Unfortunately, Carefound Home Care (Wilmslow) are so popular that our needs could not be matched for ongoing work but I will always think of them for respite. Professional and warm and totally happy to recommend them.

My journey in the healthcare sector began in 2009 at a residential care home. In 2017, I transitioned to domiciliary care when I joined Carefound Home Care, and I’ve never looked back. I’ve progressed along my career path from carer to Registered Branch Manager, a role I started in 2022 and achieved my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

I have a genuine passion for helping others, and I find it incredibly rewarding to lead and collaborate with a team that shares this commitment to improving the lives of those we support. Learning about each person’s life history inspires me to deliver person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my twin daughters, who always keep me busy. We enjoy long walks with our dog, Kyza, and love visiting Macclesfield Forest.

I began working in the health and social care sector in 2014. I started as a carer and progressed to Care Manager. I have worked in both domiciliary care and residential care; however, my passion has always been for domiciliary care. I feel there is something special about being able to support people to remain in their own homes.

I achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England in 2016 and a Level 3 Diploma in Management in 2018. I am currently working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.

My passion for working in the health and social care sector has always been driven by my desire to make a difference in someone’s day. I really enjoy going out, meeting new and existing clients, getting to know them, and learning about their lives.

Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my son, partner, and our dog, Dylan. I like to unwind by cooking, and my family's favourites are toad in the hole and chicken stroganoff.

Sarah Vickers Job Title: Recruitment & Community Manager Joined: 2018

After spending seven years travelling the world with British Airways and managing over 300 passengers on a plane, I decided it was time to transition to the care sector. My experience as a Senior Cabin Manager highlighted the transferability of many of my skills, and I found that caring for others came naturally to me.

I began my career in care in 2017, progressed to a management level, and joined Carefound Home Care in September 2018.

Caring for passengers at 35,000 feet gave me valuable insights into myself, revealing that my passion for care extended beyond the skies. The patience, duty of care, listening skills, overcoming communication barriers, and helping others adapt to new environments all laid the groundwork for my natural inclination to care for the clients I now support.

I take great joy in recruiting like-minded staff at Carefound Home Care and coming up with fun and creative marketing ideas for our team.

Since entering the care industry, I have completed my Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England and I am on the verge of finishing my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care. I have also trained new carers within our company and attended multiple "Train the Trainer" courses to support this.

Outside of work, I stay active as the captain of a Ladies XI cricket team in the summer and play hockey in the winter. I also enjoy playing the guitar, singing, and walking with my partner and our two dogs, George and Gigi, who often accompany me to the office and love meeting some of our clients whenever possible!

I started my career as a full-time carer in 2018 after my children had all completed their education. I find the role very rewarding and have now progressed to a senior carer.

I love the relationships I have built with my clients, and I know some regard me as their friend rather than just a carer.

I received an award for being highly commended in the dementia carer category in 2021 at the Great British Care Awards.

Outside work I enjoy spending time with my 5 children and family, and I adore my 2 grandsons.
