Right at Home (Mitcham, Streatham & Dulwich)

We have been using the services of Right at Home since 2018 and in that time we cannot speak highly enough of them. The management are always professional and help in whatever way they can. They take great care to try and match carers to the client based on their personalities and interests. My mum has a great rapport with all her carers.

We, as a family (and particularly my mother-in-law, who is being supported with her care and needs by the team at Right at Home) are delighted with this service in every respect. All staff are incredibly caring, kind, patient, attentive, vigilant and trustworthy people and their skills in this difficult field are exceptional. I genuinely know this to be the case, having experienced other care providers both for my mother-in-law and for my own mum. In particular, we are able to lead normal lives, as the team liaise with us regarding any concerns and proactively deal with any issues arising. For example, this week, they were very worried about her state of health and took necessary steps to ensure she had appropriate medical help, whilst keeping us informed every step of the way so that we were able to come and be with her during this stressful time. Also, having provided support for my mother-in-law for at least 4 years, they have enabled her to retain her dignity and involved her in any decisions about her care.

Living alone, and following foot surgery, I needed help during my initial 5 week healing period. I had re-entered the world of home care with some trepidation - having already had my fingers burnt when I organised care for my elderly parents. It was very poor. By contrast, Right At Home was simply brilliant! Gone were those awful days of all sorts of different carers turning up, as had happened at my parents. My needs were discussed before care started. The staff were trained and professional. By day 2 we had an established routine. I cannot emphasise enough how important that was. I didn't have to keep issuing continual instructions from my bed. Instead, I could be looked after. Properly. My other major concern was that carers would take over, doing things their way. My house would no longer be my own. But everything was done in the way I would have done it, with warmth, respect, and discretion. I highly recommend Right at Home.

Care comes in many forms, and the Right at Home team excels in all areas.

We have been helped by our provider on an ad hoc basis since before Covid. They are very accommodating with dates and times and provide excellent staff who are very caring. My husband's needs will increase in the future, and the provider is able to accommodate his changing and increasing needs. The staff, whether in the office or with carers, are polite, and nothing seems to be a problem. The management of the branch always has time to listen to changing needs.

Right at Home have been caring for my parents, one of whom has dementia, and both are frail. They provide friendly and practical help and companionship and really get to know them. They are happy to help with whatever has been needed, with the highest quality of care. This applies at all levels of the organisation, and the carers are chosen with care.

Right at Home have been providing care for my good friend since summer 2020. They are responsive to anything needed and always willing to help. They have shown tremendous flexibility in scheduling caregivers to come in and visit and through those early stages when establishing a new relationship with a new user of the service. I have found them to provide good quality care at all times, show professionalism and above all else, the staff, the management, and the carers have considerable empathy.

I have peace of mind knowing how reliable and understanding they are to my mother's needs.

For over a year I have been very impressed with the patience and dedication of the carers provided. They are all friendly and considerate, and if they have to be absent, their replacements fit in well.

My mother (and previously my father) have had, and continue to have, really friendly, professional support and reassurance from the lovely members of your team - always a pleasure to deal with and very considerate, thoughtful, and keen to be as helpful and as positive as possible given the change in my parents' circumstances.

The care that has been provided by Right at Home for my parents has been an absolute game-changer for our family. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Both my parents were reluctant to have help, but the Managers and the team have really won them over and made a big difference to their lives and in particular their mental health. From providing day-to-day care and assistance with general tasks and also companionship, they have been excellent. Right at Home has provided me with excellent care. What was very important to me was to have a carer I felt comfortable with and understood my needs. Right at Home worked hard to achieve this. The carers are all very lovely and excellent at caring. I feel the team in the office care and want to help me achieve the best I can while my carers are with me.

My uncle has been using Right at Home (Mitcham, Streatham & Dulwich) for a few years now, he has a live in carer. The service provided is excellent, my Uncle is in his nineties and prior to using Right at Home (Mitcham, Streatham & Dulwich) services he was frequently in hospital and then short stay care homes. He is so much better and happier now with the excellent support he receives, which has enabled him to be where he is happiest, in his own home. It has given me complete peace of mind knowing that he is now being cared for as I would wish. All the staff that I have met and had dealings with from carers, managers to directors have all been kind, caring and very efficient. It has been a pleasure meeting them and to do business with them. I would have no reservations at all in thoroughly recommending Right at Home (Mitcham, Streatham & Dulwich).

The quality of care provided by both the manager and the carer are excellent, I really can't fault it at all. My elderly mother sees her carer as a friend and enjoys chatting with her. The carer manages to balance two things: ensuring my mum's wellbeing by helping her take her medicines, helping her exercise, washing and plaiting her hair and some general household chores, but also, importantly, to stimulate her memory and conversation, and this makes her feel valued and looked after. The carer is a warm and caring person and having her coming over on 4 days while I'm working, has really taken a burden off my mind. The manager takes an active interest in my mum's welfare, readily responds to any enquiries and ensures that any messages from me reach the carer as soon as possible.
