Lapis Care has now been operational since 2012. They are proud that they remain owned and run by registered nurses. This provides extra knowledge and experience that they are able to cascade to their team members, thus in turn benefiting their clients.

Lapis Care believes that 'life is for living' and that there are very few problems that are unsolvable, and their combined experience means that they've seen it all!

Their philosophy is 'Cared for Staff = Cared for Clients', which means all their team feel valued and supported when carrying out their role. There are no staff on zero-hours or paid per call contracts so they have a very happy and settled team, just what you want for your family.

They are an open-minded team, always keen to find way of improving their service.

Lapis Care provided first class care to Mum for three years until her death at the age of 96 in June of this year.
Not only did they provide dignified personal care to Mum, but were always available to give advice to me on Mum's (and my) ongoing needs. They quickly picked up on Mum's love of singing
and Mum was greatly cheered by the many "sing-songs" that took place on their visits. At the end of Mum's life, their support was invaluable. A truly professional company with a heart and a soul.

There are no words to describe what a legend of a lady your mum was. From her wicked sense of humour , her constant laughing and singing. The banter and the the amazing stories. Lapis are absolutely fantastic. They have given such good care to my dad at home. The carers are all so kind. They know and understand my dad and my dad knows them all really well and really enjoys their company. Two members of staff have been fantastic with supporting my dad's complex needs and updating
us regularly and have gone and above and beyond to make him happy and comfortable at home. It is a huge weight off my mind living far away to know that my dad is in such good and caring hands. I can't recommend them enough.

Lapis Care provide carers for my father & mother in law who are both in their late 90's and are frail elderly. They respond to each of them as individuals tailoring the times of their visits to meet the individual needs. They are responsive if there is an issue - always phoning to highlight issues
so that it or they can be addressed in a timely manner. They are professional in their manner but are always kind, considerate and polite to my parents in law. My parents in law like all their carers - enjoying their smiles and talking to them about everyday things which widens their world.
Lapis Care do formal reviews of care every 6 months to ensure that all needs are reviews and care plans can be amended to reflect my in laws on going needs .
Lapis care have just commenced doing fish & chip Fridays once a fortnight - this has been lovely by my mother in law who now does not have to cook on that day

It was suggested to me that I had some help with my husband who has Vascular Dementia. I was worried as to how he would react to a stranger helping with personal care.
As previous 'Captain of Industry' he had a strong preference for efficiency and always valued diligence.
I was unsure how he would
react to this new routine.
I needn't have worried, the carers come in with a smile on their faces and a cheerful 'hello and how are you today?'
They are a professional and compassionate team and he hasn't complained.
Lapis Care is an established company that was recommended to me and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

All the carers were very helpful and respectful. Always on time and pleasant to talk to. They obviously had been trained well to help in any way necessary. One carer in particular was especially understanding and had a good friendly but professional nature.

Carers coming into mum and dads have given us the peace of mind that they are having the best start they can to each day.
All the carers at Lapis Care are naturally caring, hardworking, kind and extremely reliable. They have been flexible in coping with both our parents differing needs and their concerns.
They have gone out of their way for us on a number of occasions and the updates provided by the carers on a daily basis are invaluable.
We are really not sure what we would do without them.

My husband has a morning and evening care visit, he has PD and needs help with washing, dressing and personal hygiene. Lapis carers are without exception, cheerful, friendly and professional, nothing is too much trouble and they are also very supportive to myself. I really would be overwhelmed by it
all if it were not for their help.

The client is a private single lady, who doesn't take to intrusion easily, so it was quite a lifestyle change to have to be looked after! Lapis took on the task, and in the main established a good rapport with her that delivered the care and attention she needed. As guardians it is reassuring that there
is regular care in place, and very good communication.

The company puts care into at-home care. Whether for short-term rehab or for longer care these marvellous carers go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable, fed and taken your medication. From initial interview to everyday help. They encourage you to help yourself but step in to help as you need

We were recommended Lapis Care at a time when it was just "meant to be". In order to keep our Dad safe and happy in his own familiar environment, we needed to find a provider who would be able to cope with his complex medical needs and Lapis Care was the perfect fit! From my very first telephone call,
I was given reassurance that Lapis would be able to help and after a preliminary meeting and assessment, we were given immediate help with 3 visits per day. It was so lovely to see Dad gelling so quickly with his carer and, straightaway, a whole lot of worry was lifted from our shoulders. Not only did she deal with medicines and creams, but she prepared his meals and - probably most importantly, she made Dad feel relaxed with her friendly chat and sense of humour, really special to witness! Unfortunately, Dad's rapidly deteriorating condition meant that we quickly had to let go of this wonderful service and source round-the-clock, live-in care. We will forever remember and miss you. Thank you!

I can't recommend Lapis care enough, my Dad who has dementia was so well looked after, they were professional yet still treated Dad like he was their own. I really couldn't have asked for more, thank you.

I am extremely grateful to have found Lapis Care for my Mum. They have been absolutely fantastic and I can highly recommend them. All of the nurses/caregivers have been very professional, compassionate and understanding. They even supported my dad too at difficult times during my Mum's illness. The

Lapis staff looked after Mum in her late 90's, as her health deteriorated. The care and kindness shown to Mum were both professional and personal. Mum looked forward to staff visits and made friends with the carers. During the several health crises which Mum endured, Lapis supported Mum and kept the
wider family involved. The supervisor and staff were particularly good when Mum had some serious problems towards her last weeks at home, helping with getting Mum discharged appropriately from her hospital stays. It is also clear that they have a good relationship with the bodies administering support for adult care, which made the process of getting financial support more transparent. On a personal note, they are lovely people. Mum died recently but I am so glad she had Lapis caring for her for those last few years.

Incredibly impressed with Lapis Care. We are very fortunate to have found Lapis Care for my mother-in-law. From initial contact to the consistently wonderful care that is provided, we have met with truly excellent care, compassion and professionalism.
The care manager comes to assess the individual
and then provides care for a few days to thoroughly assess the care needs and write a full care plan. I have not come across this before and encourage all companies to do the same. Great communication with the supporting family.
There is an app with which we have a two-way form of communication and we as her family are able to monitor the care provided and respond to any needs as required.
Fabulous company, thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Lapis Care.

Lapis Care have looked after my mother since January 2021 in her own home, prior to her going into a residential home.
I still remember the trepidation and stress I had in trying to find carers for my mother, but I needn't have worried, from day one I found in Lapis Care the perfect combination of
both professionalism and compassion.
Professional in their knowledge, commitment, understanding and management.
Compassionate not only in the support they gave my mother during their visits; but also in building a relationship with her that she was comfortable with, I fully appreciate their support of myself with appropriate advice and guidance during several difficult situations.
Communication with Lapis Care was easy and there was excellent visibility of the carers visits.
All the carers visiting and looking after my mother were kind, thoughtful, respectful with plenty of laughs and 'banter' when the occasion called for it which was more often than not.

The nurses have been looking in on Mum three times a day, of the past 6 months and twice daily for over a year prior to that. The staff are wonderful. Friendly and yet professional in everything they do. My brother was kept informed about Mum, and I was able to check daily on the internet. I would
absolutely have no hesitation in recommending this company and the staff. Extremely grateful for their support and help with looking after Mum.

Lapis Care looked after my mum in her home for about a year up until October 2022.
How lucky we were as the care Mum received was outstanding. Mum had mobility issues and diabetes and Lapis Care went above and beyond with her care and somewhat unusual ways and beliefs. They became great friends and
had a great sense of humour and were kind, caring and very understanding.
Lapis Care became our extended family both to my brother and me and of course to my mum.
We cannot recommend them enough! You do not need to look any further, Lapis Care is the best ever!

Graeme is a qualified Accountant and has always supported Lapis behind the scenes however, due to pressures during the COVID outbreak, he has been delivering Care ever since. He enjoys contact with both clients and staff and is always on hand to step in to support staff when they stay with clients if issues need resolving. He has also lifted spirits by taking Alfie the Cockerpoo on occasional visits!
