Lapis Care has now been operational since 2012. They are proud that they remain owned and run by registered nurses. This provides extra knowledge and experience that they are able to cascade to their team members, thus in turn benefiting their clients.

Lapis Care believes that 'life is for living' and that there are very few problems that are unsolvable, and their combined experience means that they've seen it all!

Their philosophy is 'Cared for Staff = Cared for Clients', which means all their team feel valued and supported when carrying out their role. There are no staff on zero-hours or paid per call contracts so they have a very happy and settled team, just what you want for your family.

They are an open-minded team, always keen to find way of improving their service.

Many years ago a carer friend of mine said 'Unless you stand close enough you cannot help bear the burden'.
Well, that’s just what Lapis Care does. They take on the entire problem.
Medical needs are dealt with professionally and compassionately. But they never stop there; the whole person and even
the household are taken into consideration with matters eased all round.
This degree of care comes from dedicated staff who devote their energy above and beyond just physical difficulties.
I count myself blessed to be in receipt of such loving, holistic care.

My mother has been looked after by Lapis Care for two years. After leaving rehab it was decided home life with support would be best for her. Throughout this time the carers' team have been wonderful. She now needs total support yet is able to stay in her own home because of the quality of care being
given. Despite the extra pressure of the Covid situation, the team have continued to offer friendly, efficient, professional and compassionate care. My mother says she looks forward to the smiles and company when her carers come and knows how extremely fortunate she is to be so well looked after.

I live 80 miles from my mum. She lives alone and has Alzheimer's. It was essential that I found an agency who were reliable and dependable.
Lapis Care are such an agency. They have provided care for my Mum for 20 months. It started as supported shopping trips, progressed to medication administration
and personal care and only ended with Mum's transition to a residential setting. At all times, they have been courteous, knowledgeable, caring and professional. They have been excellent at communicating Mum's needs and the app has enabled us to stay very connected with Mum's day to day activities and the progression of her disease.
There were times when we needed not just care, but advocacy and support. Lapis Care were there for us.

Lapis were visiting my husband four times a day as he had dementia and Parkinson’s. They were extremely knowledgeable in both conditions and explained what care would be needed in a simple reassuring tone. Communication was key. The app was great, I knew who was coming round and when and if they were
running 5 minutes late, I would always get a phone call. They were always extremely cheerful, helpful and encouraging and also supported me when it was needed. The quality of care was exceptional and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Lapis Care came into our Mum four times a day for the last two weeks of her life, to assist with her palliative care. The whole team provided care far in excess of our expectations. They were professional, kind, caring, reliable, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. They made the final days so

I just wanted to say that 'Lapis Care' has been a revelation. They care for my father twice a day and I could not be happier with them. Not only do they provide a brilliant caring service for my father but it's taken such a weight off my mum's shoulders. It's also a bonus that they both get to see a
warm, friendly face twice a day and the carers are always happy to have a chat with them as well. So for me, it's not only the wonderful care they give, it's the company that they provide as well. It's made such a massive positive change to my parents' life and I am eternally grateful to them.

One of the things that stands out at Lapis is the support given by the Management Team. Graeme is a qualified Accountant and has always supported Lapis behind the scenes however, due to pressures during the COVID outbreak, he has been delivering Care ever since. He enjoys contact with both clients and staff and is always on hand to step in to support staff when they stay with clients if issues need resolving. He has also lifted spirits by taking Alfie the Cockerpoo on occasional visits!
