My husband has been cared for by Lapis for the last 6 months and we are very pleased with the care that the team provide. No problem is too big for them to deal with. They carry out their duties to a high standard and treat us both with kindness and respect. Today we needed unexpected help due to my husband having a fall, and they immediately took charge, called an ambulance and stayed with us until it had arrived. This was beyond their normal duties. As I had my own hospital appointment to keep, one of the management team came and stayed with my husband until the ambulance had left to take him to hospital. They are so very kind to all of the family and they care about my welfare as well as my husband's.
Thank you so much for your very kind words and I am so sorry I have not been able to respond before now.
Sadly your circumstances have changed somewhat since you left this, but it was a joy and a privilege to care for your husband, we had such as giggle and he also offered...
Lapis has been caring for our elderly mother for several months. I can warmly and sincerely recommend them. At our first meeting, the staff member took care to speak mainly to Mum, although Mum is hard of hearing. She also asked how Mum likes her cup of tea made. Paperwork was short and sensible and not pushed on us. That kindness, respect and efficient attention to Mum’s needs has characterised Lapis Care’s approach, and we’ve noticed it in the little things, like making sure Mum always has a hanky in her cardigan pocket, through to the big things - being absolutely on top of health and safety needs, fitting the team to the individual wherever possible, and prompt and straightforward communication through the challenges of Covid. Mum is a very private person and had for years resisted care in her home, but Lapis have won her trust and affection, and ours, and been a real blessing to us all at a potentially difficult time. They really are gifted at what they do.
Thank you for this. My apologies for the delay in responding to your very kind words.
Your mum is an absolute delight to care for. She brightens our day tremendously and we are all so fond of her. When we visit, we start to chat and get quite carried away with the 'little...
They carry out tasks with great efficiency and, most importantly, with kindness and patience. They are the right people in the right job. They have turned a situation that felt stressful and frightening, into a positive experience. Mum is more relaxed and safer. One member of staff in the background and the staff team in the foreground have been very helpful and flexible across a few challenges, which life and COVID have thrown up, and we are very grateful to them. I must put in a word about the joy for Mum, of being brought a cup of tea in bed in the morning.
Thanks so much for these kind words and so sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you.
I know Mum has a really close relationship with some of our team, but when the rest of us are allowed to get a look in, we love to visit and chat. Your mum has so many amazing stories!

Lapis Care provide exemplary care and go the extra mile. The staff are all caring and thoughtful and always have a cheery smile. I feel a great sense of security knowing that my parents' needs are well looked after and would highly recommend this caring company to anyone.
My apologies for the delayed response.
Thanks so much for your lovely words. I know we only visited for a short time to your parents, but it's lovely to know we made a difference.
If you need us again, you know where we are and it would be a pleasure to help.
In the meantime, my very best wishes to you all and thanks again,
Liz.
Lapis has provided significant ongoing care, both welfare and domestic, for my mother for well over a year. Their support and professionalism cannot be faulted and on a number of stressful occasions, they have gone beyond expectations to provide timely and critical care intervention and advice. This has ensured confidence to meet my mother’s objective and wish of remaining independent and in her own home.
My apologies for the delayed response to your kind words. They are hugely appreciated and as one of our 'original' clients, it continues to be a privilege and pleasure to visit. I love seeing what they have been up to with the 'travelogue' they have produced!
My best wishes and thanks again,
Liz
Lapis Care have looked after my 93 year old mother recently after a couple of falls and hip displacements. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as their care and compassion was second to none.
My apologies for the delayed response, it's been a bit of a few months!
We very much enjoy looking after your mum and hope that our presence offers you both reassurance the difficult times.
We will continue to offer the very best care and support we can...
The carers have been wonderful during a very stressful time for our family and with lockdown regulations, the senior care manager, in particular, has been a marvel. Always positive and with great care and kindness, she has helped my father make amazing progress in mobilising following his stroke that we hadn’t thought possible. The close-knit team have been reliable, professional, so very kind and understanding.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It is an absolute pleasure and a privilege to be able to care for your father. To witness his positive progress everyday is so rewarding. He brings a smile to our face everyday with his wicked sense of humour! He is doing so well, you won't need us soon. I...
Rarely have I come across such a caring organisation. They truly go above and beyond and I mean this most sincerely. Without their support, my father would not be able to stay independent and remain in his own home. I am always one hundred percent confident that my father is being well looked after and his well-being is at the forefront of all they do in the support of his care.
Thanks so much for your kind words.
It is wonderful to know that the aims we set out with at the beginning we are still achieving. We enjoy going into your dad very much, he is a fabulous character with great stories to tell. I hope we can continue to provide all he needs to keep him safe and well at home. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any concerns, Liz.
Well, that’s just what Lapis Care does. They take on the entire problem.
Medical needs are dealt with professionally and compassionately. But they never stop there; the whole person and even the household are taken into consideration with matters eased all round.
This degree of care comes from dedicated staff who devote their energy above and beyond just physical difficulties.
I count myself blessed to be in receipt of such loving, holistic care.
Thank you so much for this very generous review. It was our absolute pleasure to care for you and you were one of our early successes in that our support stopped being required!
However, we still very much look forward to seeing you when we deliver your weekly Friday lunchtime' Fish n' Chips' treat. We are always here if you need us!
With best wishes and thanks again, Liz
My mother has been looked after by Lapis Care for two years. After leaving rehab it was decided home life with support would be best for her. Throughout this time the carers' team have been wonderful. She now needs total support yet is able to stay in her own home because of the quality of care being given. Despite the extra pressure of the Covid situation, the team have continued to offer friendly, efficient, professional and compassionate care. My mother says she looks forward to the smiles and company when her carers come and knows how extremely fortunate she is to be so well looked after.
Thank you, Jill, for your very positive comments. To know it is due to our teams support, that your mum can stay at home; makes our jobs all worthwhile, especially on days that are more of a struggle during the ongoing pandemic. With consistency, I know the team that go in have all built a lovely working relationship with your mum and we all feel privileged to be part of her ongoing care.
Lapis Care are such an agency. They have provided care for my Mum for 20 months. It started as supported shopping trips, progressed to medication administration and personal care and only ended with Mum's transition to a residential setting. At all times, they have been courteous, knowledgeable, caring and professional. They have been excellent at communicating Mum's needs and the app has enabled us to stay very connected with Mum's day to day activities and the progression of her disease.
There were times when we needed not just care, but advocacy and support. Lapis Care were there for us.
Thank you for everything that you did for Mum. Thank you for everything that you did for us.
Hello, your mum was a joy to care for and the whole team are very fond of her. I am so pleased that you found our care so supportive, it's why we started Lapis. We are incredibly sad that we no longer have the privilege of caring for her but we are reassured that she will be well cared for, safe...
Lapis were visiting my husband four times a day as he had dementia and Parkinson’s. They were extremely knowledgeable in both conditions and explained what care would be needed in a simple reassuring tone. Communication was key. The app was great, I knew who was coming round and when and if they were running 5 minutes late, I would always get a phone call. They were always extremely cheerful, helpful and encouraging and also supported me when it was needed. The quality of care was exceptional and I wholeheartedly recommend them.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am sorry I haven't had an opportunity to meet you or your husband. We have an amazing team and every day we feel privileged and proud to be able to provide care for our clients and I know the girls absolutely felt that about caring for your husband, albeit...
Lapis Care came into our Mum four times a day for the last two weeks of her life, to assist with her palliative care. The whole team provided care far in excess of our expectations. They were professional, kind, caring, reliable, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. They made the final days so much easier for both Mum and us her daughters. We would not hesitate to recommend their services. We thank them wholeheartedly for being there.
Thank you for this very kind review. It was our absolute pleasure and privilege to be able to care for your mum and for you, in the last days of her life. If we were able to bring comfort and support, as well as removing some of the strain on you, which allowed you to cherish your mum's last days...
I just wanted to say that 'Lapis Care' has been a revelation. They care for my father twice a day and I could not be happier with them. Not only do they provide a brilliant caring service for my father but it's taken such a weight off my mum's shoulders. It's also a bonus that they both get to see a warm, friendly face twice a day and the carers are always happy to have a chat with them as well. So for me, it's not only the wonderful care they give, it's the company that they provide as well. It's made such a massive positive change to my parents' life and I am eternally grateful to them.
Thank you Jason for your kind words. I will be sure to pass them on to the staff, of whom we are very proud. We feel very privileged to look after your parents, I know the girls enjoy seeing them just as much.

Lena has significant care experience and will be instrumental in ensuring your care needs are met. She will often do the initial care calls to ensure everything is documented in the care plans and then hand over to the carers.

One of the things that stands out at Lapis is the support given by the Management Team. Graeme is a qualified Accountant and has always supported Lapis behind the scenes however, due to pressures during the COVID outbreak, he has been delivering Care ever since. He enjoys contact with both clients and staff and is always on hand to step in to support staff when they stay with clients if issues need resolving. He has also lifted spirits by taking Alfie the Cockerpoo on occasional visits!
