My mum has been a client with 1 Oak Care for 3 years ..In that time I have never experienced kindness and genuine care like it ..not just for my mum but also myself
I have suffered terribly with my mental health this year..the support and understanding I have been shown by the team ..especially Rhiannon has been outstanding

I will never be able to thank them enough for looking after my dear mum like she was there own

The care my mother receives has been very good, she has dementia and has carers twice a day to support and check on her to ensure she is safe and comfortable., my mother doesn't need personal care but the carers are kind, patient and respectful in the way they assist her.
The carers arrive in a timely fashion; they communicate with my mother and treat her with respect and dignity and take time to speak with her and myself when i am with her.

Overall, we are really pleased with the support provided and appropriate professionalism and compassion shown by the care team.

My brother, who was born with cerebral palsy, cognitive, has been a client of 1 Oak for at least 4 years. Where to start? Organisational and Administration is second to none as he has been allotted an hour long session at the same time each day with the same small team of male assistants. He is issued with a rota on a weekly basis so that he knows who to expect in the morning. Just these seemingly small things mean the absolute world to him because it gives him a small amount of control over his life. The "boys" as we call his assistants are all different personalities and individual in every way, but the one thing they all have in common is that they meet his requirements exactly. They have become an extension to our very small family. Contact with management is available whenever we need it with clear lines of communication. Access to records is available too. Meals at 1 Oak are also delivered and are nutrional too. We LOVE 1 Oak.

Thank you so much for sharing this! Its an absolute pleasure to support your brother, the relationships built are nothing short of special and we will look forward to continuing his support for years to come!

All 1OAK Carers have been rigorously selected by the Managers to have a naturally occurring caring attitude.
They have been providing care for me for over three years and I don't know what I would do without them.
During this time they have never let me down, if there's anything causing a delay they let me know.
I like and trust them all. I don't have a "favourite " as they're all looking after me very well indeed.
My family feels very happy that their standard of care is excellent.
The Manager, Rhiannon, always keeps an eye on me and alll her Clients .
She is very helpful and quick to respond if needed.
I keep telling everyone I know to join 1OAK if they require home care.

I couldn't rate them more highly.

1 Oak has been a great source of help and support in my husband's care journey. Our experience with them for the 6 months they have been providing care for my husband 3 times a day has been great. They are flexible and ready to change things around to meet his care needs, which we really appreciate. They have a variety of caring staff, friendly and kind. They are happy to learn from mistakes. The manager and the office staff are great. They are always available for any queries and ready to listen, understanding and approachable. And the manager always try to look for different ways to resolve a matter as quickly as possible. Though, i still feel that a few of the staff are inexperienced, maybe a more thorough training will help. And a more experienced staff needs to work with the inexperienced ones for some time before they are sent out alone in the community. In general, i see great potential in 1 Oak care agency and we are happy with the care they are providing for husband.

During the recent hot weather advice was sent out to remind people how best to look after themselves and keep safe. Links were sent to us to keep Mum hydrated in different ways such as high water content food and jelly drops all of which we used and put in place. We are very happy with the support and care that we have received and will continue to be guided in keeping all of Mums care needs met.

1oak have been providing care for my mum in law for the past 2 years and I know they will be alongside me as sadly her dementia progresses..their biggest strength without doubt is their responsiveness and reassurance to any concerns I may have.they provide a24/7 number so even if it's the evening, weekends or bank holiday someone will respond.
They are flexible and respond in a timely manner to changes in mum in law's condition and give valuable advice.
Continuity of care which is so important in dementia care is maintained and the carers are kind and patient, with the ability to make mum in law smile even on a not so good day
I have no doubt that with the care and management team alongside me I will be able to achieve her wish to be looked after at home

And that is priceless

1 Oak Care are providing home care assistance to my wife who had advanced dementia. Three times in a six week period I had to call their emergency service for advice with an ongoing medical situation.I was advised to call for an ambulance for each event.
1 Oak"'s Registered Manager came to our home either just before or after the paramedics arrived. She was able to brief them on my wife's condition and gave us comfort knowing that help was immediately available should we have the need.

We have been clients of 1 Oak for the past two year's and have found all the carers to be very understanding and compassionate as we have seen my wife's condition deteriorate and helped me at the most stressful times.

Excellent service for personal care in the home for elderly people. Reliable, friendly use first names. They take time to get to know their client. Compassionate and give time to smile and talk and to give care in the home of all domestic and personal need nature. They are always kind, caring and polite. They take an interest in their clients needs and feelings and welfare. Alifeline to those who live alone. They were so kind to my mother when my father passed away last week. Sharing a tear in some cases...beyond the call of duty.

Reliable and helpful staff. I am lucky enough to have a regular carer who lives in my village which makes sense, and she is used to my needs. When she is on holiday, I have different carers. The managing staff are helpful in caring for my needs when I have doctor, dentist and optician appointments and send carers to take me. When I have been ill, they have contacted my GP to get help.

I am so pleased that 1 Oak was recommended to me. You could never meet such a friendly and supportive load of carers anywhere else I am sure.
How they remember so much is a miracle, where things are and my own particular needs.
Only one thing that they seem to lack any knowledge of is how to wash anyone's hair!!!!! As this must be part of the help and caring they give, I would have thought this was an essential part of caring.
They all give lots of extra tips too, and never seem to rush anything.

I would certainly recommend 1 Oak carers.

We have found the carers provided by 1 Oak sympathetic, efficient and friendly. My mum was a bit resistant at first as she still thinks she can do everything but she does need reminding to take her medication which the carers do in a very gentle way. They also make her bed and tidy her room and bathroom which is a great help to me. At last I feel calm about Mum's care when I need to be away.

Many thanks for the assistance and help you have given to us over the last weeks. We were relieved to have this support from your management and professional carers at a time it was most needed after my husband was discharged from hospital. We welcomed the carers' reliable and timely visits and the attentive, pleasant and very cheerful manner they all brought to their duty of care. Their help and support meant my husband recovered sufficiently to enable him to undertake his own personal care within a few weeks. Thank you again, we appreciate the constant support you all give to enable clients to live confidently in their own home.

We have been very happy with 1 Oak Home Care and so impressed with how lovely, kind and interesting all the carers are. My dad has absolutely enjoyed all of the people he has met. We have also managed, at the drop of a hat, to get extra help when we've needed it which is fantastic. I always get straight through to the office and speak to such helpful and happy staff. Very organised and friendly, it has made this transition to get help such a great experience. Thank you to all the team, we are so happy that we have found you. Highly recommended.
