John needed assistance mainly to shower and dress. These needs were met very well by RAH. He also enjoyed their company whilst I could do other things away from home.
Thank you for your review. We are so pleased that the care also supported you to be able to run errands and have time out for yourself too, which is so important when taking care of a loved one.
At a very difficult time in our lives, the last few months of my husband's life your carers gave me invaluable, kind and expert help to enable me to care for him. I know I could not have managed without them and for that I am most grateful.
Thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure to provide care to your husband and to support you to care for him at home.
Right at Home have provided care for my husband for nearly 6 years. More recently his physical and cognitive needs have worsened significantly. I am so happy with the care provided, not only for my husband but also the genuine care afforded to me. Last week I became ill and was unable to assist as normal. Immediatley they were able to arrange double handed calls and an extra call during the day as requested, so I was able to rest and get better. Also the office staff were regularly in touch with me to see how I was, and how my husband was in this different situation. They offered to provide additional care if needed, and were very flexible. I would also comment that the carers are without exception compassionate and understanding of my husband's needs, and seem able to manage his often difficult behaviour with skill. Also, they come on time, and stay for the agreed time. I have no reservations in recommending this company,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and review us on Homecare.co.uk. We have come to feel that you are part of our Right at Home family and we will always be here to support you both through your husband's journey. You know you can reach out whenever you need us or if we need to make any adjustments to the care we provide.
From start to finish Right at Home High Wycombe have been brilliant. We have had such good service from all concerned. The person who stands out most is Nichola who we first met on my dads induction. Pleasant, kind and very helpful. The whole care team did a fantastic job in keeping my dad comfortable for the last few months of his life. He liked all he carers that came round. But he did have a soft spot for ( Nichola) I can't Thank the whole team enough for there hardwork and dedication in looking after my dad. On a side note and only for information. We originally had some other carers supplied by the council and you can tell the difference between the Private care system and the council care system, they are world's apart. Whole heartily recommend Right at Home High Wycombe.
Thank you for your kind words and review. It was a privilege to support your dad to stay safe and comfortable in his home. We pride ourselves on providing a personalised service to meet individual needs, and ensuring that every client receives the very best care.
My dad's wish was to remain at home, and they made this possible with dignity and kindness. They also supported us as a family, taking so much pressure off us and allowing us to focus on spending precious quality time with him during his final months.
Every carer was amazing and treated my dad with genuine warmth and respect. Their experience and guidance were invaluable to us at such a difficult time. I would not hesitate to recommend Right at Home to anyone.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us on Homecare.co.uk. We enjoyed getting to know your dad and he always brought a smile to our faces. He genuinely seemed to enjoy the company of all of the carers and cracking jokes or pulling their leg wherever he could! He remained positive throughout and to give him that precious family time with you all, was our ultimate shared goal.
RAH provided lunchtime care for my mother who is in her nineties. From the initial visit RAH took time to understand her care needs and were particularly attentive to her communication needs. The care givers were efficient, kind and cheerful and provided good company as well as attentive care. The office staff were always helpful and responsive. Overall a good company to deal with and some lovely people who provided excellent care.
We were very happy with the service. RAH provided carers for mum for a short time as her mobility deteriorated and the requirement changed frequently. The carer was always very responsive and flexible, and mum found the carers to be generally very good.
Carers treated my partner with kindness, patience and compassion. They were alert to changes in his condition and well being and taking appropriate action. Office staff were accessible and helpful. I felt he was in very safe hands.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave these comments, we know his spirits were lifted by the visits from our team. It is also crucial to us that family members can relax somewhat knowing their loved one is in safe hands. It was a pleasure to support him at home for over a year.
Her Rota included regular carers which was reassuring that it wasn't frequent new faces for mum to get familiar with. They were all very understanding of mum's needs and as well as dealing with the necessary household tasks they provided a degree of companionship/friendship as well.
Communication with carers and the office has been good and any concerns/changes were immediately notified.
Regular monitoring and updating of her care plan also took place.
Very happy with the service. All carers and office staff communicate with family over any concerns. Professional, friendly staff who always arrive at given times and we are always informed if carers are running late. Overall a very satisfied customer with the service Right At Home delivers. Would recommend it to family and friends.
Dear Keith, it was a delight to support your mother for nearly a year. One of her regular carers referred to your mum as her “ ray of sunshine”. We are so pleased to have been able to make a difference. Thank you for your words.
Pity they are so horrendously expensive. A shame I see so many different faces.
Dear Tim, we are delighted the service you receive is worthy of a 5-star review. Thank you. We are a premium care provider, and whilst we are not the cheapest nor the most expensive provider almost every client review we have received has graded Value for Money as either 5/5 or 4/5. Consistency and...
The care provided for my mother by Right at Home over the years has been exemplary at all times. The management stepped up immediately if we had additional or varying needs and was always flexible and always prompt with guidance and advice, and putting what was needed in place. Most importantly Right at Home was able to ensure regular carers who were professional and empathetic and who became friends, not just care providers.
Mum forged friendships with a number of the carers and the management did an amazing job of maintaining continuity wherever possible. All the staff were very patient and caring and also always punctual.
Most importantly, the team made it possible for Mum to continue living independently, which meant the world to her!
Not living close by, Right at Home gave me peace of mind that Mum was well looked after.
The care that Right at Home has provided for Mum over the last few years has been exceptional. They are a such professional team, extremely reliable, providing regular reviews and always on hand if you need to contact them. I cannot speak highly enough of the carers that Mum has had, not only the care she has received but also the support, friendship and companionship that comes with it. I can't thank you enough.
For 3 years until his death in February we used Right at Home's services to give personal care to my bedbound husband. The care given to him was exemplary. Carers made him feel at ease, were always friendly and treated him with respect and dignity. From the moment they started providing care, all involved exhibited the utmost professionalism and kindness. They took the time to understand his specific needs, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about his well-being. They came to feel like friends. Another outstanding area was the reliability. Never having to worry about whether carers would turn up. The office would phone to advise of any delays or changes. This peace of mind was invaluable. I would certainly recommend their excellent services.
Thank you for such a lovely review Jenny. It truly was a privilege to work alongside you to best meet the care needs of your husband. We feel that we have lost a member of our Right at Home family now that we no longer get to work with you. We wish you all the very best Jenny and do stay in touch with us.
I contacted Right at Home after finding them in the care services directory and subsequent research. From initial assessment all the way through my mam's short period of care to the last contact with this wonderful group of people I found the whole service exemplary. All the staff treated Mam with dignity and respect and even took the time to research her music preferences to sing with her as well as find out about her working life to enable two-way discussions, nothing was too much trouble. The care manager was very kind and accommodating; visits were adjusted, care needs were reassessed as Mam's health deteriorated and the whole service provided was professional throughout. Sadly my mam passed away after a few short weeks but it brings me comfort to know that she was looked after so well by such an amazing team of individuals. I have no hesitation in recommending 'Right at Home' to anyone looking for care for a loved one.
Thank you for your kind words Gillian and for taking the time to submit a review of our services. Whilst we only got the opportunity to provide short-term support for your mam, we are honoured to hear that it made such a difference to Mam and such a comfort to you too. We will share your lovely feedback with the team. Thank you.
We have used Right at Home for 2 and a half years and have been very happy with the service. The carers are exactly that and were really good with my son. They did everything they could to make the experience a good one, making him laugh and really looking after him.
It is wonderful to learn that the work of our care team in supporting your son has been of the desired standard. We have become very familiar with his passion for Arsenal football club and all things Lifeboat related. I am told he was delighted with the Lifeboat fridge magnet that one of the care...
Over the past four months, following a hip replacement surgery, I have been using Right at Home services. At first three times a day, gradually reducing to now I am independent. At all times, the carers were totally reliable, caring, professional and felt like dear friends. I cannot speak too highly of all the staff, whether on the phone or during visits.
It has been our pleasure to support you post-operatively and we are honoured to have played a part in getting you back to full independence swiftly. I know that you are once again using our care services as you recover from your second hip replacement. I am sure it will not be too much longer...
Over a period of time, our mother's health gradually deteriorated, although, at every stage, there were regular discussions with the family in respect of her well-being and positive suggestions to decide what should happen next with the excellent management team.
Extra days and visits, including the preparation of meals, were arranged seamlessly with a strict regime to administer the correct medication in place at all times.
Our mother wished to stay at home in the last few weeks of her life, and this was also handled in such a caring and professional manner with empathy and dignity that the family could not have wished for better end-of-life care.
Do not look anywhere else. Would highly recommend this company.
Dear Steve, it has been a pleasure to care for your mother and support her wider family over the last 18 months. We know how much she enjoyed her garden and in particular the very unusually marked pigeons that would flock to her bird feeder day after day which she took great pleasure observing from...
When we were looking for care for my dad and stepmom, we used a website and looked at the reviews, Right at Home had excellent ratings. We were not disappointed in choosing them as they are so dedicated and caring and went above and beyond to make sure my parents had the best care. One of the things for me that stands out is if I had a problem and called up, I could speak to anyone in the office, and they would sort it out. I would always recommend Right at Home.
Dear John, it has been a delight to visit your parent's home over the last 3 years, initially to support your stepmother and more recently to focus solely on your father. The care team regularly reported back on his impeccable politeness and great humour. It is fantastic to know that both our caregivers and office team have been able to offer your family the desired level of service.

Meet the Team (3)
As a qualified Accountant, for over 10 years I had a successful career, but I rarely felt that I added value to the lives of others, like I had in my teenage years. It was not until the birth of my son, Felix that I had some time away from my career and became a full-time carer to him, that I felt it was time for a change.
At the age of 15, I started working weekends and school holidays at a residential care home as a domestic support to the weekend carers. I became a carer almost as soon as I turned 16 and continued to work weekends and school holidays for another 6 years until I graduated and moved away from the area to embark on a career in Finance. During these years, I cared for many residents requiring various levels of support and built strong relationships along the way. With such a high level of job satisfaction, I always loved my job and would take as many shifts as I could – even on Christmas Day!
However, one of the most common, and distressing elements of this job was the reluctance of new residents who came to live in the home. I do not recall one person that wanted to leave their own home, even if they accepted it was in their best interests in order to get the care and support that they needed.
It is for this reason that I am so passionate about being able to offer an alternative to residential care. I am not just proud to be building my own business but also proud to deliver my own vision of providing the right care, the right way and at the right time for our clients. In doing so we will be able to make a real difference to the lives of others, by supporting people to maintain independence, offer choice and enhance quality of life.
In my spare time, I love to get out into the fresh air and countryside and take long walks with my family and Cocktail, our little sausage dog. He may only have short legs but he will walk for miles, so long as it’s not raining!
I have grown up in South Buckinghamshire and was born just a few miles away from our office at the now demolished Canadian Red Cross Hospital at Cliveden. I also attended Bucks New University in High Wycombe, earning a BA Hons in Leisure and Business Management.
Within my professional career, I have ensured that the teams I led focused on delivering first class service to guests and clients. Whilst in everyday life I have found satisfaction in helping people, particularly the vulnerable and less able.
In 2005 following the death of my Grandad, my 87 year old Nan, who had quite advanced dementia, came to live with us at the family home in Burnham. Grandad had been Nan’s full time carer and this responsibility was taken on by my mum, with a degree of support from the rest of the family. During this time, I began to think about the countless elderly people who needed the same level of care as my Nan but did not have a close family able or willing to take this on.
I suspect that subconsciously the time my Nan spent living with us was formative in spurring me on to open a business in the care sector. A particular area I would like Right at Home High Wycombe to have a positive impact towards is overcoming loneliness and social isolation amongst our elderly. This affects millions across the country, and is highlighted in the saddening statistic that 3.9 million older people see the television as their main company.
Varying in age from 20 to 73 years old, some of our care team have spent their whole career in Social/Clinical care whilst others are just starting out having worked in other sectors. We also have a few team members that are currently at University studying care-related courses such as nursing and midwifery.
Many of our team enjoy working full-time whilst others choose to work part-time, evenings or weekends. The one thing they all have in common is the desire, commitment and compassion to assist local, elderly people to live independently within their own home.
The personal interests of our care team are broad and wide, including: dog grooming, teaching Spanish, attending the local church, photography, volunteering at a cat charity, writing short stories and playing musical instruments At least two members of our care team have 4 children and one has 6 children so they almost certainly have no time for any hobbies.
Why our team enjoy working as CareGivers:
“RaH are a brilliant company, they give us 100% backup and support. For me it’s a vocation not a job at all. Love it.”
“RaH are a family. The staff and management are so supportive of each other and the quality of care is 100%. By far, RaH is the best company I have ever worked for I am lucky to be part of such an amazing team.”
“We have supportive management with a brilliant ethos of providing person-centred care.”
“I am surrounded by a successful and caring company who make me feel valued, who are always 100% committed to their staff and clients.”
“RaH is a family-orientated company. There is an open door policy with management. Both management and staff are very supportive.”
“A very rewarding job working for an agency committed to providing the best support and care in the community. Great rapport between all staff and management.”
