We initially contacted Right at Home when my mum-in-law was to be discharged from hospital. They acted promptly and efficiently, visiting her in hospital and then her home, to make sure all necessary needs could be covered. When she was discharged, carers came to assist her, always with efficiency and dignity. They always arrived on time and stayed for the specified time allocated, nothing was ever refused, if they were asked. Carers were always quick to respond if they felt the family needed to know anything, by reporting back to the office and we were contacted. Everything was done in a very satisfactory way - we couldn't fault them. They continued to visit daily, usually twice a day, but sometimes three times for nearly three years, even through the difficult Covid times, keeping her safe when even family couldn't see her. In September this year, it was decided for Mum-in-law to reluctantly leave her home to move to a care home. They supported us with this and we are very grateful to them.
Thank you for these kind words. Whilst we are obviously very pleased that the service your family received from Right at Home met your needs, we are even more pleased to learn that your mother-in-law is getting fully involved in day-to-day life at her new care home. Hopefully, she is still able to...
They would also contact me if they felt that there was a problem or something that bothered them. On one occasion the lady carer visiting arrived to find that Mum had fallen. She happily stayed behind with me until an ambulance arrived. I recommend them.
It is so pleasing to read that our care team was able to have a positive impact on your mother’s day-to-day life. As I type, (the lady you first met) is recounting stories of your mother’s superb sense of humour and her steadfast determination to live independently, all be it with a little support....
We contacted Right at Home in July 2020 having read excellent reports at the standard of their care. We needed Care for our 94-year-old aunt who wanted to stay at home and live with her cat (Polly). Immediately Right at Home came up with a Care Plan to provide four visits a day starting with getting my aunt washed dressed and breakfast, a lunchtime visit and provide lunch, a teatime visit and an evening visit to put my aunt to bed and ensure her safety. My aunt was also a diabetic and they paid careful attention to her diet needs. Their care was consistent and meticulous care was given during the pandemic. They did her weekly shop and took such an interest that some of the carers cooked her favourite dishes, froze some of these dishes for everyday use and met her every need. My aunt thrived on their care and looked forward to their visits. For us, as relatives who lived a distance away, this was a great consolation.
Dear Robin, thank you for proving us with the opportunity to support your aunt to continue living at home well into her 90s. Both she and (Polly) the cat will be missed by the care team. Everyone in our office was also aware of how fond she was of cats, and I hear she was delighted with the cat...
Even dropping her off at lunches, waiting while ambulances arrived.
Couldn’t fault their attention also responding to changes of care requirements as quickly as possible.
Would recommend to anyone who needs home care.
We have very much enjoyed looking after your mother. It is inspiring that she has remained so chatty and sociable well into her 90s. I know many of our team will miss painting her nails and enjoying her flowers and garden with her. We hope that she quickly makes friends in her new surroundings and...
We couldn't have chosen a better company than Right at Home. They were easily approachable, fully involved in making my father's life in his flat as comfortable as possible, engaging with him and his family every step of the way, motivating him to pursue a social life, and making sure he was enjoying a nutritious diet. During such difficult times, with the pandemic, they took every precaution to protect him from infection, and their visits were crucial to his mental wellbeing. The carers showed they truly enjoyed his company by singing and playing his favourite music and chatting with him about his long and eventful life. Several staff members of Right at Home visited him when he spent his last few weeks of life in a care home and they also attended his funeral. We will never forget the kindness they showed.
I am sincerely pleased that you feel our Care Team was able to support your father positively in so many aspects of his life. It is apt that you mention his love of music as I recently overheard two of our team talking fondly of the delightful footage we have of him playing the Ukulele for one of...
Right from the start the level of care he received was brilliant and he felt very safe with them and they always showed much kindness towards him and met all of his needs. As a family we appreciated all their efforts in such difficult times .
We are thankful for being given the opportunity to support your father to live independently in his own home following his stay in residential care. He knew the names of all of his Caregivers and they have talked about his fantastic humour and wit, as well as enjoying a regular...
We were recommended to Right at Home by our previous care provider who, sadly, went out of business. Right at Home were great from the start, appreciating our needs and requirements. The carers were lovely, always arriving at the agreed time and always courteous, friendly and helpful. Although Mum has now moved into a care home, we would certainly recommend Right at Home, a great, all-round care provider.
Dear Susie, it was our pleasure to support your mother, all be it for just a few weeks. I am so glad that we were able to step in at such short notice when your incumbent provider ceased operating, and that she enjoyed our visits. We hope she has settled into her new surroundings and is making friends with her fellow residents and the care team. Thank you for your kind words.
Right at Home were very responsive from the off, We immediately felt comfortable with them, they understood our concerns and challenges ahead.
It's so difficult putting your trust into strangers, so you have to get it right and we did, all of the staff we had contact with were so professional and compassionate they became family to Dad and to us too.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home, High Wycombe branch to anyone.
There are some lovely people out there and we found them.
Thank you for your very generous words Sharon, it has been our pleasure to be able to support your father over the last couple of months. The team will undoubtedly miss him and his wonderful sense of humour…although one or two of them will miss his two tarantulas considerably less. I really am pleased that we were able to deliver help when and how you most needed it. Thank you.
My 96 year old father lives alone in his own home - his circumstances deteriorated dramatically following a family bereavement and Right at Home High Wycombe stepped in to provide extraordinary service over and above anything I might have expected or even hoped for. From contacting BT to resolve a faulty landline to contacting the hospital about covid, to providing extra, last minute visits; they were on the ball from the getgo. Staff are always courteous, helpful and genuinely care for my father and he gains hugely from their professional, friendly and supportive approach. Nothing is too much trouble, day or night and the team have supported me through this challenging time simply because they are who they are - simply wonderful.
We have been supporting your father for approximately 3 years now and are incredibly pleased that our care team have had a positive impact on him during his journey with dementia. More recently, we are delighted to be able to support you in managing your father's needs, which can be incredibly...
Right at Home have been supporting my father for over a year now, and I have been so impressed with individual carers and with the organisation. Carers and office staff are always very professional and friendly and have gone above and beyond to support in a crisis.
Our Care team very much enjoys visiting your father, whilst the office team always has a smile on their faces when he occasionally calls with a question, which he delivers so eloquently. We are really pleased that he has been able to reduce the support we provide back down to normal levels following his recent illness. Thank you so much for your kind words, Helen.
Right at Home was a godsend for our parents’ final years. We were all living far away, and it is thanks to Right at Home that our parents were able to live in their house until the very end of their lives. The carers’ visits provided such welcome company for them, and a valuable connection with the world outside. At each stage, we were able to adapt the kind of care to the changing circumstances, with a live-in carer during what proved to be the last few months for both of them. Most importantly, we knew that the carers’ hearts were in their work, and that made all the difference.
Thank you for the lovely review, Adam. We have all become so incredibly fond of your parents over the last 3 years. We are honoured that we could assist them in their wish to stay at home together, well into their 90's and right to the very end. Your lovely words will be shared with the whole team.
They cared for Mum at home throughout this difficult time until she passed away at home just before Christmas. They are empathetic, resourceful and compassionate. They provided an evolving package of care (including Waking Nights) by a dedicated team of well trained, professional and very kind caregivers.
Mum had been so anxious about accepting any outside help, but because of their kindness and competence, she became completely comfortable in their care. They enabled her to stay in her own home (despite her gradually increasing high dependency needs) until she died.
Unfailingly, they were always there for us on the end of the phone or in person, providing reassurance, support and practical help, and in the pandemic, their professionalism, care and kindness never wavered. We are truly grateful.
My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in August 2016. Initially, I took on the role of his carer, but in mid-2018 I felt I needed additional support. I, therefore, contacted Right At Home High Wycombe, and in August 2018 they commenced assisting me in caring for my Father. From the initial contact, and ongoing, the support I have received has been fantastic. As Dad's illness has worsened we have adjusted the level of care according to his needs. This has always been done in a timely and professional manner. There has never been an instance when the CareGiver has not arrived when due. My Father thoroughly enjoys the visits from the CareGivers, and I am more than happy with the care they provide on a daily basis. Any concerns the CareGivers have are brought to my attention immediately. Overall I am delighted with the service Right at Home High Wycombe provide to my Father. I have had no hesitation in recommending them in the past and will continue to do so.
The response from Right At Home to the Covid 19 lockdown has been impeccable. Their unchanging support and rigorous attention to the safety of all their clients and caregivers have been very impressive.
We can’t thank Right At Home enough, for all they have done, both for Mum and us as a family; we could not manage without them!
Thank you so much for your very kind words Louise. I am really pleased that we have been able to offer you the level of responsiveness that you require. Knowing that Mum, but also you and the wider family are benefiting through peace of mind from the support of our team, including the recently...
The care is exemplary and the co-ordination is best in class. This is a very personal, yet professional service, a different balancing act for any business, but one essential when dealing with loved ones.
We started using Right at Home to assist my Mum who had mobility issues and who was also caring for my Dad who had Alzheimer's. Eventually, as Mum's health worsened we gradually built up the need for more care, mainly for Dad who became totally reliant to do everything. Mum looked forward to the girls visiting albeit for short visits. As Dad wasn't good with communicating and making conversation, Mum loved to chat with the girls and enjoyed their company. When Mum passed away suddenly in May last year, Right at Home really helped and supported us and quickly took on the role of care for my Dad at least 4 times during a day. I and my sister have built up relationships with the girls who cared so well for our parents that it has been like an extended family. It has been a great weight off our minds to put our trust in such caring and compassionate people. Sadly we lost our Dad in January of this year but would highly recommend Right at Home.
Right at Home have been absolutely brilliant in initially providing care and companionship for my mum, and then continuing that care for my dad when mum passed away. Dad has now sadly passed too but I can’t begin to express my gratitude to the dedicated care and support they gave to dad. He suffered from Alzheimer’s and it’s been heartbreaking to witness this awful disease rob us of our lovely dad. The carers from Right at Home, one in particular, have been amazing and we’ve felt confident in the knowledge that dad has been cared for to the highest possible standard when we’ve not been with him. Nothing was ever too much trouble and Right at Home was always able to accommodate any extra hours we needed at short notice. Since mum passed, between us and the carers we’ve done our utmost to keep dad in the comfort and security of his own home and that’s where he stayed bar a short hospital stay where he sadly passed away. We can’t recommend Right at Home highly enough.
I can't fault the care that Mum received, nor the support from the team leader and her team - this definitely enabled Mum to stay in her home for at least a year longer than we would have imagined.
Mum loved the company and as her needs changed, everything possible was done to accommodate this and give the additional support we requested - basically, nothing was too much trouble. I'd also highlight the compassion and kindness shown not only to Mum but her wider family. I would not hesitate to recommend Right at Home High Wycombe to anyone in the same situation looking for care for a relative at home.
Inexperienced carers can sometimes have a tendency to blunder into a client's home, making a vulnerable client feel invaded and anxious. Right at Home did none of that - they were respectful of her space, her preferences and her right to have her own way in her own home. Without their service, my client would not have been able to see through her choice to pass in her own home.
And I am very grateful to the team for helping us honour her wish.
Thank you for your kind words. We feel it was a real privilege to take care of such an incredibly interesting and spirited lady, giving her full control and choice to pass at home. We all miss her greatly, having provided care that started for a few hours a week, right up to the 24-hour live in care that she required in the latter weeks.
We have been using Right at Home for about nine months and from the outset have been impressed and reassured by the professional approach of all the staff (carers and admin). Any concerns are brought to our attention immediately and they have been proactive in contacting other professionals on our behalf when the need has arisen. The carers arrive on time and their detailed daily reports are very helpful to us. All the staff we have encountered seem extremely pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. We have had no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Meet the Team (3)
As a qualified Accountant, for over 10 years I had a successful career, but I rarely felt that I added value to the lives of others, like I had in my teenage years. It was not until the birth of my son, Felix that I had some time away from my career and became a full-time carer to him, that I felt it was time for a change.
At the age of 15, I started working weekends and school holidays at a residential care home as a domestic support to the weekend carers. I became a carer almost as soon as I turned 16 and continued to work weekends and school holidays for another 6 years until I graduated and moved away from the area to embark on a career in Finance. During these years, I cared for many residents requiring various levels of support and built strong relationships along the way. With such a high level of job satisfaction, I always loved my job and would take as many shifts as I could – even on Christmas Day!
However, one of the most common, and distressing elements of this job was the reluctance of new residents who came to live in the home. I do not recall one person that wanted to leave their own home, even if they accepted it was in their best interests in order to get the care and support that they needed.
It is for this reason that I am so passionate about being able to offer an alternative to residential care. I am not just proud to be building my own business but also proud to deliver my own vision of providing the right care, the right way and at the right time for our clients. In doing so we will be able to make a real difference to the lives of others, by supporting people to maintain independence, offer choice and enhance quality of life.
In my spare time, I love to get out into the fresh air and countryside and take long walks with my family and Cocktail, our little sausage dog. He may only have short legs but he will walk for miles, so long as it’s not raining!
I have grown up in South Buckinghamshire and was born just a few miles away from our office at the now demolished Canadian Red Cross Hospital at Cliveden. I also attended Bucks New University in High Wycombe, earning a BA Hons in Leisure and Business Management.
Within my professional career, I have ensured that the teams I led focused on delivering first class service to guests and clients. Whilst in everyday life I have found satisfaction in helping people, particularly the vulnerable and less able.
In 2005 following the death of my Grandad, my 87 year old Nan, who had quite advanced dementia, came to live with us at the family home in Burnham. Grandad had been Nan’s full time carer and this responsibility was taken on by my mum, with a degree of support from the rest of the family. During this time, I began to think about the countless elderly people who needed the same level of care as my Nan but did not have a close family able or willing to take this on.
I suspect that subconsciously the time my Nan spent living with us was formative in spurring me on to open a business in the care sector. A particular area I would like Right at Home High Wycombe to have a positive impact towards is overcoming loneliness and social isolation amongst our elderly. This affects millions across the country, and is highlighted in the saddening statistic that 3.9 million older people see the television as their main company.
Varying in age from 20 to 73 years old, some of our care team have spent their whole career in Social/Clinical care whilst others are just starting out having worked in other sectors. We also have a few team members that are currently at University studying care-related courses such as nursing and midwifery.
Many of our team enjoy working full-time whilst others choose to work part-time, evenings or weekends. The one thing they all have in common is the desire, commitment and compassion to assist local, elderly people to live independently within their own home.
The personal interests of our care team are broad and wide, including: dog grooming, teaching Spanish, attending the local church, photography, volunteering at a cat charity, writing short stories and playing musical instruments At least two members of our care team have 4 children and one has 6 children so they almost certainly have no time for any hobbies.
Why our team enjoy working as CareGivers:
“RaH are a brilliant company, they give us 100% backup and support. For me it’s a vocation not a job at all. Love it.”
“RaH are a family. The staff and management are so supportive of each other and the quality of care is 100%. By far, RaH is the best company I have ever worked for I am lucky to be part of such an amazing team.”
“We have supportive management with a brilliant ethos of providing person-centred care.”
“I am surrounded by a successful and caring company who make me feel valued, who are always 100% committed to their staff and clients.”
“RaH is a family-orientated company. There is an open door policy with management. Both management and staff are very supportive.”
“A very rewarding job working for an agency committed to providing the best support and care in the community. Great rapport between all staff and management.”
