I'm having trouble accepting carers for my illness, early mornings are a struggle for me although I understand a set time is impossible for a carer.

The carers are always kind and understanding but I struggle to give up my independence

Wisteria have been a godsend to my mother. Nothing has been too much trouble, and if I call the office, it is answered quickly and my query dealt with. I called in this week, and a lovely lady helped me. The care team are good. Obviously, there have been some snags, but nothing that couldn't be fixed.

So far, I have no complaints about the service. Both girls have been very good. The only thing was yesterday, she was 10 minutes late, that's ok, but she didn't phone me to let me know otherwise, no complaints.

Carers are always polite and friendly, but not always the same carers attend our relative. They visit twice daily to administer medication, which is in a locked container, so our relative can't administer her own medication as she has dementia. New medication is put in the box weekly with a "pain patch" which needs changing each Friday, but due to different carers, it is changed on a Thursday or Friday, sometimes both days and last week not at all! Relative "refuses" their help to make a sandwich/meal, but eats it when they do so, I believe, they need to do it for her anyway

Thank you so much for your feedback and lovely comments. I will of course, follow this up ASAP. All care staff work extremely hard, so it is nice to receive such nice comments and feedback

I think the overall care provided for my mother is very good, she is happy with the care she is getting and knows most of the ladies who care for her and has built a good rapport with them. This has helped as she has early stages of dementia. All in all, very happy.

Very helpful & understanding staff, those we first met, those who visit our relative daily and also those in the office who are always polite & courteous when I phone. It's been a lot to get our heads around the situation we find ourselves in now, but it's made better by you all.

My mother is happy with carers and wishes to continue with you as her carer has been given approval to provide long term care. The lady in the office has been absolutely fantastic and provided care from my mum's surgery when I have been banned due to her GP not wanting to listen. I've never been wrong when I have said that mum is unwell and has ended up either back in hospital or antibiotics. In a past life I was a qualified battle field medical technician and the doctor who looks after mum knows that. There are some carers I wish wouldn't wish to see mum, but beggars can't be choosers as some neglect to enable mum to walk which was part of the plan.

All in wisteria have been good for mum and in no order But the who team plus a few more have brightened up mum's day(sorry I don't know their names).

Being mentally impaired, my sister needs routine, her regular carer is fantastic and seems to understand her needs. When her normal carer is unavailable, things do not go so well! The main issue is not with individuals but with the fact that my sister could do with more care; she really could do with more help with personal hygiene, in particular.

Some of the carers provided are absolutely amazing and would rate them individually a 5* if I could but 80% of the people sent to care for my grandmother are terrible.
We have complained over and over that you come too early as my gran is a night owl.
All we request in the morning/midday is a sandwich and a pad change.
But some carers like the one who's just been literally walk in and walk out without doing a thing and then lie on the app that she had denied care when she's actually sleeping.

A lot of the staff fail to understand simple instructions and sometimes just leave our door wide open, thankfully my gran isn't a flight risk but it's not secure at all.

To whom it may concern, I am writing to inform you that there are serious issues with the standards of care within the community. My mother is brain damaged, severely disabled, and bed-bound, I am severely dissatisfied with the level of care she receives, all we require is basic care to ensure that she is as comfortable as she can be.
Wisteria Care (Yeovil branch) is where the care package is currently provided for my mother. I say currently as the care package has since been pulled as I spent the weekend messaging the area manager photos of negligence, the response was minimal and ignored the complaints with the belief of a call on Monday, which I did not receive. I did, however, receive a call from Social Services on the Tuesday informing me that I had 28 days' notice from Wisteria as they are pulling my mum's care package.

The 2022 Health and Care Act introduced new legislative measures that aim to make it easier for health and care organisations to deliver joined up care for people who rely on multiple different services.

Reply from Michelle Carey, Manager at Wisteria Care (Yeovil)

The Manager and office staff have been subject to verbal assaults on the phone and via text message, being shouted and sworn at by the client’s daughter. A meeting was scheduled with the Manager and Social Services and the daughter to try and resolve the situation however both were asked to leave...
