The service provided by the agency and individual carers both the daytime teams and the overnight carers were excellent. All were very caring and professional treating my husband with respect and preserving his dignity even during the height of the floods every effort was made to attend. There skill
relieved me of a lot of stress and also the rest of the family.

The service my wife had was excellent. My wife was treated with dignity always chatty. Sometimes my wife wasn't with it and the carers were explaining what they were doing.

I had no warning that my wife was to have carers and believe it was organised by our doctor and nurse. The reason I have ticked the above box is due to the timings that the carers were given. 10.30am , then 1.30pm, then 7.30pm. I had to organise nurses to put my wife to bed at 10 pm every night.

Having spent six months preciously with a very sub-standard care agency, it has been a huge relief to now be with R & L. All the carers, without fail, are polite, friendly, caring, honest and efficient. As the daughter of an 87-year-old with Multiple Sclerosis and Vascular Dementia, I now feel my mother
has the care she deserves. I couldn't be happier.

My husband of sixty years - was terminally ill with cancer and wanted to spend his final days at home.
We set up a room for him in our bungalow where he could look over our beautiful well-loved garden. This would not have happened without the care of your excellent staff. They always turned up on time,
were friendly, efficient, excellent and such lovely people. He only lived about a week but my husband's last days could not have been better.

We had night sitting from a professional for my father's end of life care. This enabled my 87-year-old mother and main carer to sleep. Our carer, he was uplifting and caring when we were exhausted and anxious.

I was assisted in caring for my husband (with terminal cancer) by having night sitters. This allowed me to have some much-needed sleep, as I was exhausted. I did not know such a scheme existed; everything was arranged for me, for which I was grateful.

Emma

Emma Winter

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2013

Emma has been working in care for over 20 years. She has been a part of the R & L Healthcare team for 10 of these progressing her career to registered manager.


She is qualified up to level 5 in Health and Social Care and is also one of the company's Manual Handling Train Trainer and Trained Risk Assessor this is so the company can adapt its training to be a true reflection of the care it delivers.


As well as training Emma is also the company's Health and Safety officer as well as the Safeguarding Champion.


In Emma's spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends, as well as kayaking and being on her boat. She also loves going on adventures on her motorbikes.

Lisa has been working in care for over 18 years and has been the caring coordinator for R & L Healthcare for over 10 years. Lisa started as a care assistant and has progressed up through roles. Lisa enjoys going abroad, has an interest in Netball and loves elephants she is an all-around approachable individual who will always help.
