Home Instead Chingford was established in February 2017.

Its mission is 'to brighten the lives of seniors, giving them a sense of purpose, wellbeing & self-worth, offering a bespoke home care service in Chingford, Upper Edmonton, Tottenham, Wood Green, Haringey, Finsbury Park, Stamford Hill, Stoke Newington and Canonbury areas.

At Home Instead Chingford, they ensure only those with a passion for caring are recruited, trained and then carefully matched to the needs and interests of those they care for and require support.

The service is tailored to your individual needs and ranges from companionship, home help, personal care to more advanced care needs.

Home care visits are never less than an hour and CAREGivers are always personally introduced to you beforehand, you will never have someone attend who has not been introduced.

My carer has become a friend. She looks after me as if I were her mother, with care, kindness and with the care that affords me my dignity. She performs all tasks diligently. I look forward to seeing her every morning.

The care provided for my mum is excellent, consistent and always considerate of her needs on a daily basis.


Communication between the carers and myself is always prompt and helpful if any issue is identified at a morning visit. I cannot speak highly enough of the care

I found the service perfect for our requirements. Our caregiver was a caring, capable and kindly presence and I very much enjoyed his company. His presence gave my wife a certain independence which enabled her to pursue her career (playwright)

Home Instead Senior Care (Chingford)have been amazing since our mum has been back at home after a stroke. They have been able to take her and attend doctors and hospital appointments. They take notes and are very professional with passing on relevant information. This has been invaluable when family
members have been unable to attend.

I insisted that I wanted a carer who was punctual and I have found that in our present carer.

My carer has moved to be extremely reliable. She always turns up on the dot - always with a smile. She is generous and knowledgeable in providing care. She lets me set the pace - never rushing me. She is gentle and respectful in providing intimate care. I like her a lot!

Nigel & Linda Allen

Nigel & Linda use their complementary skills to operate the Chingford office together.


We are very happy to be in a position where we can really make a difference in the lives of older adults in our area. We are both committed to developing strong relationships with local health & social care professionals, emergency services, community groups and all local providers and organisations that will benefit those we care for and better support their families.


We are passionate about delivering the highest quality of care, tailored to the individual needs of our clients. Having in the past had personal experience of how difficult it can be to source quality care for our own loved ones, it was this that inspired us to join Home Instead and share their mission of:


‘Changing the face of ageing'.


Nigel was born and bred in Leeds, West Yorkshire and moved to London over 35 years ago. Nigel is a highly experienced management development & business consultant and a qualified CIPD Trainer. For many years he specialised in the retail sector and enjoys interacting with people. Nigel is driven to deliver high-quality standards, ensuring this is given to those whom he cares for.


Linda has previously developed a business as a Driving Instructor establishing good training and people skills. She has a keen eye for detail, is very patient and is an extremely good listener.


When not working Nigel & Linda love spending time with their family, are very involved members of a local church and enjoy entertaining friends. They are active sports enthusiasts, playing golf, football, squash, cycling and generally keeping fit.
