My brother's health and mental health has been getting worse recently and has resulted in admission to hospital for a month. Extra care has been put in place, to allow him to go home. Many thanks to all Home Instead staff who have worked tirelessly to help and us now he is at home.
Thank you for a great feedback response, we will be sure the response gets to all the team involved in your brother's care.
Home Instead are outstanding, we had the name given to us by my sister-in-law who had worked with them. If I am really honest I often wonder how true these reviews are... I am personally happy to be contacted by anyone who wants to speak to me to see it's not a false review. We (my sister and I) cannot speak highly enough about the three lovely carers who attend to Dad three times a day, we get the hourly update via an app only we can see which believe you me is worth its weight in gold. They dealt with a problem we had with Dad on a Sunday whilst she was out on a family shopping trip, the service is second to none. To say Home Instead is a professional service with a very personal touch is my way of describing this - 'must use carers'.
Thank you so much for your fantastic review, it means a lot to us and the team that you have taken the time to give this great feedback and we will make sure it reaches all the team. Best, Rob
My husband died in 2021 and I have continued with the Home Instead carers as home helps. My own health has deteriorated so I now also have some personal care. Two of the original carers plus two more, all really professional and caring. I wouldn't want a stranger coming into my home so, in exceptional circumstances, if none of the usual team are available then someone from the management team visits.
I can thoroughly recommend Home Instead Wakefield for their kindness, hardwork, reliability and helpfulness.
Thank you for such great feedback, we will make sure the team get this feedback and thank you for allowing us the privilege of caring for you and your husband. Best, Rob.
We were dealing with an urgent situation and having received recommendations by word of mouth regarding Home Instead it was with some trepidation we contacted them being total strangers to this care scenario. On initial contact by phone, we were dealt with by a very friendly and helpful member of staff who speedily arranged an appointment for their care manager to visit us to discuss our care needs. That meeting enabled us to work out what was required and how our needs could be met. Very quickly we had a plan in place with the same carers which enabled our 100-year-old mother to rapidly settle into a supportive routine with which she felt comfortable. It gave us peace of mind and a clear plan of how to progress going forward. As time has gone on it has enabled us to feel reassured with the fantastic care and attention provided by our team of carers all of whom go above and beyond. We would have no hesitation in recommending Wakefield Home Instead.
Thank you Fiona! It means so much to get such a brilliant review from you.
Recently my Mum suffered with some ill health. Being so far away and working full time I was not able to be with her as much as I liked. On one occasion I spoke to Mum and realised she was really suffering but putting a brave face on things just so that I didn't worry! It was not a day for a usual Home Instead visit but I called the office and asked if there was any chance of someone checking on her. Within half an hour one of her usual carers was on site, had called the GP and made sure of a home visit and updated the office on the situation who then let me know. On a couple of other occasions during her illness I had the same service. Mum is now diagnosed and has been treated and is much better and I cannot thank the team enough for the care we received.
Thank you Annette, it's great to hear the service is having such a positive benefit.
The staff are friendly and have certainly made a difference to my mother in law
I’m sure she wouldn’t be here now without your support.
I have recommended you to many people.
Debbie, thank so much for such a great review and for the recommendations. It helps us reach more families and is really appreciated by me and the whole team. Thank you!
I highly recommend this team and it gives us, the family, much peace of mind as well as the help and support received by Dad.
Thank you.
Thank you for your wonderful review, it's a great pleasure and privilege to care for Dad.
Price is reasonable. All in all, working well so far.
Thank you so much for the feedback. We will be sure to let all the team know.
Initial service care was put in place for one visit per day to help Mum get up in the morning. As mum's illness progressed we felt the need to increase the care package. Mum has Alzheimer's and the main thing we have found with the carers is how they talk to mum and listen to what she has to say (even though she can't remember much these days). They treat her with the utmost respect at all times and ask her to do as much as she can herself whilst they are there in order to keep some independence.
Mum wants to stay in her own home for as long as possible and the package we have in place helps with this. I would like to thank the team of carers for their care and duty in looking after mum. It certainly eases the pressure on the family. Thank you.
Thank you
From all the team.
Extremely satisfied by the care given to my mother. She has been cared for with care, compassion and friendliness. Setting up the care plan was easy and contact with family before commencing care was good which helped put us at ease about the carers.
The needs of clients are always a primary consideration. A very flexible approach is used that can provide social, domestic and personal care. Companionship is a priority as is safety. This is a listening concern, willing to operate flexibly. Prices are fair and workers well trained and well matched to clients. A regular inspection of services informs ongoing improvements in delivery.
My parents were able to remain in their home in part a a result of this provision.
Thank you
Thank you for your kind words. We will be sure to let all the staff know.
The lovely carers at Home Instead have been visiting our Mum since 2019. They have called in twice a day to provide help, companionship and prepare breakfast/lunch for our Mum. In addition, we’ve had a shopping visit each week to get my Mum her food for the week. Their care has enabled Mum to live independently at home whilst in her late eighties and over the past two years when we have had the Pandemic, lockdowns and travel disruptions to contend with. They even provided a Carer to take our Mum to her Grandson’s wedding near Cambridge. There and back in a day! We were so grateful for that service and that Mum could attend. Thank you to the team for their professionalism, kindness and support during this time. Excellent job!
In a challenging environment, the care provided is exactly what we need and my father is really appreciating the relationship he has developed with the care team. There is also a degree of flexibility in the service offered which is very much appreciated.
Communication is excellent and we receive regular updates from the carers or the manager to let us know if Mum is feeling unwell or is running short of something. We could not be happier.
Home Instead cared for my mum for several years prior to her moving into a care home this month. The service was excellent often going above and beyond, the carers were really friendly, formed a great bond with my mum, making her really happy. I would not hesitate to recommend the Manager and the team.
The manager has always demonstrated a very client-centred approach and is empathetic towards my parents. The care staff are all respectful to my parents and sensitive to their needs and views. The organisation have been easy to contact and responsive to our changing needs.
My walking companions are kind, chatty and punctual. They walk at my pace, whether or not that is slow or fast or to just simply stop and look around us. I can rely on them to turn up when agreed and look forward to our walks each week.
The girls really enjoy your company and the walks and look forward to each visit. Many thanks for your review.
The manager and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. A pleasure to see them.
I would, without hesitation, recommend the manager and his team. He takes care to match carers with the person. The care is compassionate, patient and reliable. Staff cheerfully engaged with our family member, raised her spirits and offered kindly reassurance. The manager and the carers have at times gone above and beyond in caring for our family member who suffered from rapidly progressing dementia, including dealing with issues outside the normal care hours and providing short-notice care. Staff were also honest and brought forward any issues that inevitably arise. Having experienced poor care from others, we particularly appreciate the good care given by the manager and the team.
Reliable, punctual and pleasant.

We are really proud to run a business which not only makes a difference to our clients and their families but also the wider community in Doncaster. We aim to provide the highest possible standard of care, which not only meets but surpasses the ‘mum test'.
Hi, I’m James, and I am the manager of Home Instead Wakefield. I started my Home Instead journey in 2019 at another franchise, as Wellbeing Manager, before progressing to my current role last June. My main role is to oversee all the operations of the franchise.
When I’m not in the office, I’ll be watching a Premiership Rugby game or seeing my friends and family.
Hi, I’m Elouise, and I started at Home Instead as a Care Professional. I had previously worked in Accounts, and I was ready for a career move. I love meeting new people and helping make a difference in their lives, which is why I came to Home Instead, as all of their values align with mine. I have now progressed to the Office first, as a Care Coordinator, then on to Care Manager. My main priority now is making sure that all of our clients receive the premium service they expect from Home Instead. In my spare time, I like to relax at our caravan and go out for jet ski rides.
Hello, my name is Egle, I have been with Home Instead since 2021, started as a Care Professional with an open heart and have been enjoying every minute of my work journey since. In 2024 joined the office as Care Professional Experience Lead.
Courtney joined our team in 2025 as a full-time Care Coordinator, responsible for matching clients with Care Professionals and providing support to Elouise in the office.
