I found the manager and her team of carers very kind and helpful. The level of care given to my father-in-law from all of the individual carers that I met was more than we could have asked for, they have all treated him with dignity and patience. They provided extra care at very short notice, which
was much appreciated by our family.

I feel that some of the staff need more training in caring for "older people" and also first aid training. In the last month, the carer I have had has been excellent.

I have been very impressed with the level of care given to my father from all of the individual careers I have met. Dealing with someone with dementia is not easy but they have all treated him with dignity and lots of patience; sometimes going over and above my expectations.

There are some really good carers who have been friendly, professional, helpful and caring.
There have been some hiccups regarding times and on one occasion, a bad attitude. I would recommend to a friend if needed because overall they have been proficient.

I am very happy with the service. The carers I have had up to now have been very pleasant and extremely helpful and I really couldn’t wish for any better support from an outstanding team. Which for me lifts my moods every day as I know I can rely on them to put a smile on my face.

This is a very well run and pleasant agency recommended to me by the county council. It was an excellent recommendation. They cared for my husband for over a year (unfortunately, he has had now to go into a home) and they really care. My husband is very demanding but nothing was too much for the carers.
He is also very overweight (around 18 stone) and falls often but carers cope with this and always kept sunny temperament. It was a pleasure having them in the house. When necessary, they coped with giving him his meals. Following radiotherapy, my husband is urinary incontinent: however this did not put the girls off, having to change his pads four times a day. They are very well turned out and always cheerful even under very difficult circumstances. The management is great and the Manager and Director are there to help and every twist and turn of life.

Very friendly, lively staff who are always friendly, caring and very helpful. My mother looks forward to the visits and the news, chat on a daily basis. Will always go out of their way to help if they can and make time if extra care is needed. Living away from my mother I have peace of mind that she
is well cared for and looked after. Highly recommend.

Using Helping Hands has given me peace of mind knowing that someone will be calling regularly on my parents. They treat them with care and dignity. They let me know of any concerns or changes in my parents which is invaluable. By helping with exercises and a daily walk, my dad’s health has improved.

Whilst Mum was alive the management and staff at Helping Hands treated her like one of the family.


They became a huge part of her life. Not only for the practical things but also for the social side of life, giving her friends she could look forward to seeing each day. Someone for a natter with who

she could share a cup of tea and a laugh.


Helping Hands fought for her to get time with the Doctors and other NHS professionals. Kept an eye on her medication when it looked to be incorrect after hospital visits and even home cooked some of her meals.


I am certain that thanks to Helping Hands Mum had a longer, healthier and much happier life.


As a family, we were blessed to have such brilliant people in Mum's life.
