At Alcester Home Care, we understand that choosing care for yourself or a loved one is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. That’s why we’re committed to complete transparency when it comes to our fees—everything is clearly explained from the start, with no hidden extras, no small print, and no unexpected charges. What you see is exactly what you get: exceptional care delivered with honesty and integrity.

We believe the quality of care is directly linked to the time we spend with our clients. That’s why our 1-hour visit option has been designed to offer more than just essential assistance—it’s an opportunity for meaningful interaction, companionship, and attentive, unhurried care. From helping with personal routines to preparing meals, supporting mobility, or simply sharing a friendly conversation over a cup of tea, our carers have the time to do things properly.

Longer visits also mean more can be achieved in one go, reducing the need for frequent shorter visits. This makes our service not only more effective in meeting individual needs but also more cost-efficient over time. It’s a practical way to ensure consistent, high-quality support without compromising on value.

At Alcester Home Care, we don’t just provide care—we enrich lives, nurture independence, and bring peace of mind to families.

Invest in care that truly makes a difference.

I would like to praise the carer for her excellent care she delivers to my mother. Mum always lets her in and makes her feel like a friend is visiting rather than a carer. The Care Coordinator has always been very supportive when I've ever had to contact the office.

Alcester Home Care have assisted my mother with her personal care once a week since November 2020. My mother has enjoyed the female company and the chance for a chat. My mum has found the carers to be warm, friendly, helpful, and very caring. My mum is especially appreciative when she can have the same
carer for several weeks running. As a daughter, I have found the staff in the office to be exceptionally helpful and responsive when we have needed to make changes.

I could not wish for a better service from Alcester Home Care. The carers go above and beyond what is expected of them. When their duties are completed they spend the remaining time chatting and providing pleasant company for my mother. After each visit, an app on our mobile provides us with an outline
as to how the visit went. This is very reassuring as we live some distance away. All in all, we could not be more grateful, thank you.

Reply from Liz Ballinger, Field Care Supervisor at Alcester Home Care

Hi, it is an absolute pleasure being able to support your mum, it is also great to hear that we are also enabling you to have peace of mind that your mum is well. We understand the concerns and worries families can have when not living nearby their loved ones. We appreciate your kind words and positive feedback on our services. Kind regards, Alcester Home Care.

I contacted Alcester Home Care when I urgently needed help to look after my Mother. Their immediate, reassuring, friendly response meant I had the help I needed very quickly. After a strong initial reluctance, Mum came to look forward to the carers' visits. They were all lovely and it gave me great
peace of mind to know they were there for her. I was able to see how she had been during their visits through an app. Mum decided to 'go it alone' again now she is feeling better. Having carers has given her a new lease of life! She loved to chat with them and I know she will miss their company. I will have no hesitation in asking for their help again if needed in the future.

Alcester Home Care have provided an excellent service to my mother. My mum lives in a flat in a retirement apartment block and has daily visits from care visitors to provide some social company, and to perform any basic household tasks etc that she may need help with. Her care visitors are friendly
and encouraging to her, and the management staff have been very useful and constructive in talking to me to help arrange the best care arrangements for her. They have especially done a great job this year (2020) coping with the pandemic situation and continuing to provide care visits despite all the lockdowns. I think they provide a very high standard of service and I would certainly recommend to others that they consider Alcester Home Care if they are looking for a home care visiting service.

Since returning here (3/7/20) I have been impressed by the standards of care shown by the carers. They all seem willing to go the extra mile if necessary to meet my needs, having spent the last 6 months in hospital and care homes. It has been a pleasure to come back home.

We are extremely happy with all aspects of the care we receive. The carers are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for them. During this lockdown period, we would not have managed without their daily visits. My husband and I have different needs. We are both rather disabled and I had been his primary
carer until I became ill and could not manage. The service has proved to be a lifeline.

As a company, they are flexible and helpful. They listen to your needs and requirements and act accordingly. The ladies who care for my mother-in-law are all great. Reliable, professional, caring and friendly. We have a core of around 6 carers coming in 3 times a day, every day, so they have all built
up a great relationship with her, which is really important. All the carers communicate well with each other, so my mother-in-law's needs are always met. Either the carers or the office contacts me straight away with any concerns or queries, so we have full faith that the best care is always given. With the care agency being so closely linked to the health centre, any medical issues can be addressed really quickly which is added reassurance. We would definitely recommend Alcester Home Care.

We have been using Alcester Homecare for my mum since March 2020. We were very happy with how quickly they arranged the service at short notice in the difficult time of Covid 19. They have gone out of their way to find out what Mum needs and are happy to arrange anything that they can that makes her
life happier. They have been very professional and provide very friendly caring staff. Our mum is very happy with the visits. The access care app is worth having. A daily window on what is happening on each visit from the words of each carer. Thank you Alcester Home Care.

We were extremely pleased with the response from the agency and the prompt care package that was put in place at a short notice. The carer was always on time, friendly
and soon put my husband at ease. Although the care was only needed for a short time, it was what we required to help my husband get
strong again. Many thanks.

The staff from this agency cared for my aunt over a period of 12 months. Throughout I was very impressed with the staff, how they respectfully engaged with my aunt, offered her choice and a high standard of personalised care as per her care plan. They respected her dignity and Aunt was always beautifully
dressed when I visited. The staff were very astute to any changes in Aunty's health and ensured she received the appropriate care/response needed to maintain her wellbeing. Their caring and encouraging approach meant Aunty's level of independence improved and she had the best quality of life possible that her disabilities and health allowed.
The agency staff kept me fully informed of any changes in her care and always acted in a highly professional way. I cannot thank them enough for all they did for my aunt and I had peace of mind knowing she was being cared for so well. Thank You.

I am extremely impressed with the whole service.
From setting up the care package when they both came out to meet my parents on a Sunday, they listened to what my dad needed, to be totally honest, it took a lot of pressure off us as a family.
From there they arranged the OT, the physio, my dad's
regular home blood tests, right to the Dr. coming out to meet them.
I have met a couple of the carers who look after my dad and I cannot praise them enough. Both my parents talk about whose been and the chats they have with them, it doesn't seem like a client and carer conversation.
Speaking for my family and my parents, if you are looking for an agency to look after a relative you could not get better than this Dr. lead service.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.799 for Alcester Home Care is calculated as follows: ( (126 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 154 Ratings = 4.799

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

'I started working for Alcester Home Care at the time I was caring for my terminally ill Dad.

I honestly had never considered a career in caring, having only been a carer to my Dad.

Previously I had worked at Dogs Trust, so I went from caring for dogs to caring for people.

I was asked to come and have an informal chat and see if it was right for me, I felt the role was right for me and was offered a job.

Since that first day, I’ve never looked back!

I absolutely love my job at Alcester Home Care and get great satisfaction in knowing I’ve helped someone and made their day a little bit easier for them.

I love listening to the life stories of those I help support.

There’s nothing better than putting a smile on someone’s face each day. Whether that’s providing company for them, singing whilst doing the washing up or going for a walk with them and their dog.

Alcester Home Care has provided me with all the support and training I needed and has offered great opportunities to further my career with them

Being a parent of a young child, I can fit my work around my child’s school needs

My colleagues are very supportive and are always there to help.

I have worked in the Care industry for over 10 years.
I have always felt something was missing, so off went for an interview At Alcester Home Care....

Alcester Home Care sounded like just the company I wanted to work for. They carried out my interview, I loved their work ethic and felt excited about what was to come.

Alcester Home Care ticked all the boxes

Person Centred Care.......This is what I felt was lacking at the previous home care providers I had worked for.

I left the interview on a high and have never looked back since....

Integrity, trust and honest relationships are at the heart of everything we do!!

I LOVE helping people

It is an honour to assist our clients remain in their own homes. We support people in need and in turn helping to make their lives that little bit easier. To know we make a difference gives a real sense of achievement

There are not many positions that make you feel that way. It is so fascinating to listen to them and hear about their lives and stories. We build relationships with them, and their family.

If I can make them smile and laugh on my visits then it makes it all worthwhile. Having an awe-inspiring team around me makes a huge difference too.

We also have such a supportive Management team and are always there to help. We all help each other and we all genuinely care!!

That is what makes Alcester Home Care such a special place to work for

I started Alcester Home Care in November 2023, I have previously worked for another home care company in the local area but wanted a new challenge where I am more involved in supporting clients within their home and able to spend quality time with them. In my previous role, I supported clients within their homes with personal care and administering medication.

At Alcester Home Care I am also carrying out these duties but able to assist clients with a range of other duties within their home and have the opportunity of being able to take clients out to visit places or assist with shopping, providing companionship. I enjoy working for a company where all the staff really support each other and are all committed to providing the best support to our clients.
