I cannot recommend A1 care enough. From the very first interaction, their team showed genuine kindness and compassion, treating not just the client, but the entire family with warmth and respect. Most importantly, they have consistently upheld the dignity of my wife, ensuring care is delivered with sensitivity, respect and empathy. From the carers to the office, they demonstrate a remarkable level of understanding, always taking the time to listen and adapt their care to individual needs.

My husband has had care until A1 for approx 4 weeks and we are over the moon with the care he has received. All A1 Carers are so professional & with a very caring attitude. Nothing is too much trouble. We especially like that A1 provide timetables and photgraphs of the carers each week. They are always very punctual, so we know exactly when they will be arriving.

I am also receiving care now with showering and making my bed. A1 made sure I received the care I needed directly after my husband, so it has worked out brilliantly. Thank you for an extra service.

We have been very happy with the care we receive. We have only female carers as requested. They are always as prompt as possible. The carers are polite, friendly, and really look after my mother. They are always gentle and patient with her. On the rare occasions I need to contact the office, the staff are efficient and sort out any issues I have. The issues are not about the staff, more about contacting help in other areas ie. equipment etc. I am very glad we were signposted to AI.

Overall Experience

A1 Care has looked after my father (and also my mother until 2022) for nearly five years. It provides the break cover for the day carer (2 hours a day, every day). A1 provides an excellent service, it responds well to the requirements to ensure a good fit of carer with the clients/users. It also responds really well to both changing and challenging circumstances. The carers are superb, and in particular, the main carer. They are diligent, very capable, professional, patient and kind. It is A1 in the name and A1 in care provision.

Overall Experience

I was most happy with one of the carers, she has been one of two carers who have been caring for me for many weeks now and I cannot speak too highly of her abilities, including tasks as cooking and cleaning. There has been illness in the home which has meant a little extra help from her which she she took to with willing hands. In fact walking is too much for this elderly, lively lady. We all get on well in the household which is a great bonus. She understands my problem with waiting and needs things back to me. She is certainly a most dignified person and we in the house cannot speak too highly of her.

Overall Experience

Really great support for my husband, to remember to take his medication 7 days a week. They treat him with dignity always, whilst allowing me to have some daily respite (less things to remember). Carers are consistent, so you always know who is on what day. Any changes to this, we always get an email. Great company, lovely carers, and great value.

I have been extremely happy with the care A1 have provided for my mother. Kind, compassionate and professional. The carers were amazing. When I got home from hospital myself there was already someone looking after my husband. They have helped us in every way, both with our personal care and some administration, always with good humour + patience. They have even offered help over and above what we had expected. They have come on time and we have not needed to worry about anything except getting better!

I can't thank A 1 enough for the care they provide for my Dad. He has become friends with a number of his carers who go out of their way to chat with him; even singing duets sometimes, dancing and brightening his day. They are reliable, hard working with no complaint and will often go over and above in their duties. My dad has been having A 1 care for nearly four years now and we and my dad are so grateful for the care they give on a daily basis.

A1 Care DORCHESTER have been caring for my Godfather - I have been very impressed with their hard work and enthusiasm.
The carers who visit him, shows compassion and care , even in difficult circumstances, and on the tough days. Communication, is excellent and the team uses common sense, and practical skills to improve my elderly Godfather's quality of life . The carers are always professional and work to a high standards.

My mum and dad were very well looked after by all the staff. I was very anxious about having care for my parents but A1 Care made the whole experience so easy. Veronica De Crescenzo

I moved over to England from Italy. I started my career in the catering industry to help improve my English which helped me immensely.

I then felt confident to further develop my skills and branch out into the care industry. I became a care support worker over 16 years ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst in this position, I completed my NVQ level 3.

I was promoted to senior carer in a different company. I then completed my team leader NVQ and care certificate assessors’ award. I was responsible for conducting reviews, spot checks and assessing new carers care certificates, including observations. Also, addressing and issues with the client care plans.

It was within this role I developed my managerial skills and established a natural talent. I assisted with developing an effective induction program which helped ensure the professional development of each employee.

I worked closely with social workers, occupational therapists, council brokerage teams and other health care professionals. I had a proven ability to monitor and review care packages.

When I joined A1 Care I was employed as a Care Certificate Assessor and supervisor, my role gradually developed to my skills, and I am now the Welfare Manager. I am thrilled in this role as it gives me a happy balance of managing the carers and being in regular contact with our clients.

My professional maturity and reliability allowed me to communicate clearly and effectively with the management board, service users, and colleagues. After completing my three-month probation period—during which I led by example on the front line—I was invited by the board to interview for a new role, and I was offered the position of Finance Administrator.

I proudly accepted the role, which felt like a natural fit. Drawing on both analytical and intuitive skills, I oversaw the financial operations of the business, performed key administrative and clerical tasks, managed organisational accounts, and was responsible for budgeting, payroll, inventory, invoicing, and customer service.

After six months in the role, I began contributing more strategically by identifying and mitigating risks, supporting decision-making, and proposing solutions to the management team.

This track record of strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective team management—built on a foundation of trust, integrity, and transparency—ultimately led to my most recent promotion: Finance Manager at A1 Care.
