A1 Care provided a daily service for my wife for one year until July 2021. Their attention to her hygiene and comfort was excellent. One worker who attended my wife for the entire year had a good rapport with her, was very reliable and along with his colleagues, always treated her with the utmost respect. During the care period, covid was a major concern. A1 always showed awareness, with staff in attendance wearing masks and respecting the necessary hygiene requirements. A1 Care deserves our sincere thanks for their reliable and professional service. We wish them well for the future.

Using A1 Care has been a godsend in providing care for my mother. Without the help and understanding of all associated with this company, I would have found it nearly impossible to cope with the day-to-day needs.

Three weeks in of having carers to look after my parents and we have a fairly stable team in place. It’s great we get a rota sent Sunday evening (or Monday) which helps routine at home.

Everyone that has visited has been friendly, kind and respectful. Some were favourites and some didn’t quite gel so well but then in life do you gel with everyone you meet, I think not. The office team were very accommodating in helping to get the right people and now we have a great team that are building a good rapport with Mum and Dad.

Very happy with the service provided for our mum. It is very difficult that none of mum's family live close to her so it is comforting for us all to know that mum has daily carers to help her and very importantly give mum her medication. We know also that mum is very fond of one carer in particular and she likes her company.

Keep up the good work.

The carers have been friendly, supportive and can not fault the care given to my Nan. We would recommend A1 Care to anyone in need to care at home. We can not thank you enough.

Ever since A1 Care started working for my mother last year (2018), my Mum and I have had nothing but excellent service. They are very caring, professional, but personal skills have made Mum totally at ease. I wish that we had used A1 Care for the last 2 years instead of who we did use. Mum had a real liking for her carer. Thank you. Sadly Mum died last Thursday 7.40 pm but peacefully in her sleep.

We are very pleased with the standard of care and attention received. My father is adamant that he wishes to stay at home come what may and the care package provided by A1 is key to that. We do not have experience of any other care provider but do not intend to change provider as long as the quality service is maintained.

Mum has had visits twice a day from A1 Care for 6 months now.
The care given is completely focussed around Mum's needs.
Care is delivered competently and in a respectful manner.

A1 have been flexible when Mum's needs have changed and have increased care time when required.

The care staff are friendly and professional and although there are a number of different staff who visit, there has been consistency allowing Mum to get to know the staff who visit her, which is so important when delivering personal care.

A1 are easy to contact and have regular communication with us.

Our family would happily recommend A1 Care.

Sorina Puscas

I am a dedicated and talented professional, with suitable qualifications, skills and experience, acting as a new Registered Manager.

With an extensive experience of over 8 years of working with vulnerable adults, and people with special needs, including mental and physical disabilities, I take pride and joy in being dedicated to delivering a bespoke home care service, looking to continuously improve the service provided to all our service users and to facilitate the ideal work environment for our amazing employees through effective leadership and motivate the team I am working with.

In the past 4 years, I have been in a managerial position within A1 Care. I am very proud to say that this is the first workplace with real progression opportunities. Here I received full support for my professional growth, the trust I received as well as my skills and being valued as an employee have contributed to fulfilling my dream of becoming a Registered Manager.

Veronica De Crescenzo Job Title: Welfare Manager
Veronica De Crescenzo

I moved over to England from Italy. I started my career in the catering industry to help improve my English which helped me immensely.

I then felt confident to further develop my skills and branch out into the care industry. I became a care support worker over 16 years ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst in this position, I completed my NVQ level 3.

I was promoted to senior carer in a different company. I then completed my team leader NVQ and care certificate assessors’ award. I was responsible for conducting reviews, spot checks and assessing new carers care certificates, including observations. Also, addressing and issues with the client care plans.

It was within this role I developed my managerial skills and established a natural talent. I assisted with developing an effective induction program which helped ensure the professional development of each employee.

I worked closely with social workers, occupational therapists, council brokerage teams and other health care professionals. I had a proven ability to monitor and review care packages.

When I joined A1 Care I was employed as a Care Certificate Assessor and supervisor, my role gradually developed to my skills, and I am now the Welfare Manager. I am thrilled in this role as it gives me a happy balance of managing the carers and being in regular contact with our clients.

Csaba Gyarfas Job Title: Finance Manager
Csaba Gyarfas

Through my work experience, I have demonstrated maturity, reliability, and a strong ability to inspire those around me. With a solid academic background in management and economics, I bring a focused, results-driven approach to every role I undertake.

I have gained professional experience working alongside senior managers to plan and direct operations across various departments, including marketing, sales, customer service, purchasing, merchandising, and human resources. I also managed and established accounts to build a comprehensive understanding of business operations.

I actively contributed to recruitment processes, supporting the management board in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees. I utilised company reports to analyse sales performance, gross profit, and inventory levels. In collaboration with management, I developed and implemented strategies to protect company assets and ensure continued profitability.

I am highly organised and strategic in managing my time, ensuring priorities are handled productively and efficiently. I have maintained strong, positive relationships with both staff and customers across a range of business environments—whether high or low volume, fast or steady-paced.

Due to global changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, I chose to transition into a new industry and joined A1 Care. I began my journey as a care support worker, and from the outset, I recognised that my diverse professional background would not hinder my development. On the contrary, it enabled me to transfer and apply a wide range of valuable skills while achieving a healthier work-life balance.

My professional maturity and reliability allowed me to communicate clearly and effectively with the management board, service users, and colleagues. After completing my three-month probation period—during which I led by example on the front line—I was invited by the board to interview for a new role, and I was offered the position of Finance Administrator.

I proudly accepted the role, which felt like a natural fit. Drawing on both analytical and intuitive skills, I oversaw the financial operations of the business, performed key administrative and clerical tasks, managed organisational accounts, and was responsible for budgeting, payroll, inventory, invoicing, and customer service.

After six months in the role, I began contributing more strategically by identifying and mitigating risks, supporting decision-making, and proposing solutions to the management team.

This track record of strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective team management—built on a foundation of trust, integrity, and transparency—ultimately led to my most recent promotion: Finance Manager at A1 Care.
