I really don't know what I'd do without A1 supporting Dad and me. All the team are very caring with Dad, so takes some of the stress off my shoulders. I am reassured that Dad's caring needs are attended to in the morning, and he always looks forward to the daily visit and the company of the lovely carer. It's such a huge thing for Dad to be able to stay in his own home. Can't thank A1 enough!

My father-in-law has used this service for just under a year now. He has had consistent carers who have each provided a great service. Every one of them has shown him kindness and respect during their visits. The office team have contacted me on several occasions regarding my father-in-law, and they are also very supportive with him and us. We also like to have a weekly rota, which I print out and give to him. This enables him to know who is visiting and the approximate time of the call. Thank you for all of your support.

I am very pleased with A1 Care. Everyone I have dealt with has been exceptionally caring and helpful. Even when there have been hiccups in the care, the situation is always resolved in cooperation with myself on behalf of my 84-year-old mother, who has quite advanced Alzheimer's.

I have been extremely pleased with the care afforded to my mother. The carers were so kind and helpful with everything they did for her. The carer who stayed with me whilst we waited for the doctor was wonderful and I can't thank her enough. The care provided to my mum by A1 was first class. The staff throughout from office management to individual care staff were professional and friendly to both my mum and wider members of the family during these difficult times. I have used A1 Care (BCP, Wareham and Dorchester) for my father since February 2022 when he became completely bedridden. My father is now 104. His carers come at times to visit us. Two carers at approximately 9am to 930am for half an hour to give him a full body wash, put cream on his body, change pads etc. Two carers come at approximately 6pm to 630pm for half an hour to change pad, any personal care etc. The carers are very good, know their job and are kind, gentle and caring. Dad loves to see them, they bring jot and laughter as well as care. They become friends too. Excellent.

The in-hospital contact went smoothly and when it was clear my dad was not so capable I was contacted and provided background and context. Once the care package started it was great to see the daily contacts via the app and be able to comment if needed. The ability to communicate via phone/email/app via the call-out number was also very reassuring. I met several members of staff and found all to be competent and pleasant.

My father was reluctant to have care initially, but the staff were very friendly and patient and he soon got used to them calling and looked forward to their visits. They definitely helped him and he enjoyed their involvement in his life at a time when he was needing more support.

I would highly recommend A1 Care to family and friends. The team was able to arrange overnight care at short notice, were very accommodating when changes needed to be made and we always felt we were in safe hands and that we would not be let down. This put our minds at ease at a very stressful time. All of the team were professional and most helpful. A1 Care looked after my mother from 28 Jan 22 through to 12 Feb 22, the date my mother passed away. The A1 Care Manager from Wimborne was brilliant and so compassionate, professional, and efficient. We thank A1 Care immensely, especially one member of staff in particular for all the fantastic care she gave to our mum with personal care and getting the infection sorted on her legs extremely well. She was extremely fast-acting when problems were happening with mum's falls and leaving the gas on within her bungalow. And for getting the emergency services involved as quickly as she did in a very calm and professional manner, we cannot put in words how wonderful she was in every aspect of our mum's care. Mum became very calm and settled with her and liked her very much. We would also like to thank the other carers who attended to mum's care in December 2021. We would highly recommend A1 Care.

A1 Care responded immediately to my request for care. They were diligent in taking details of my mum's life and care needs. The carers have been brilliant, they are warm, friendly, and respectful and work hard. Mum says she couldn't ask for nicer carers. It's a very personal service, almost like family. I moved over to England from Italy. I started my career in the catering industry to help improve my English which helped me immensely.
I then felt confident to further develop my skills and branch out into the care industry. I became a care support worker over 16 years ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst in this position, I completed my NVQ level 3.
I was promoted to senior carer in a different company. I then completed my team leader NVQ and care certificate assessors’ award. I was responsible for conducting reviews, spot checks and assessing new carers care certificates, including observations. Also, addressing and issues with the client care plans.
It was within this role I developed my managerial skills and established a natural talent. I assisted with developing an effective induction program which helped ensure the professional development of each employee.
I worked closely with social workers, occupational therapists, council brokerage teams and other health care professionals. I had a proven ability to monitor and review care packages.
When I joined A1 Care I was employed as a Care Certificate Assessor and supervisor, my role gradually developed to my skills, and I am now the Welfare Manager. I am thrilled in this role as it gives me a happy balance of managing the carers and being in regular contact with our clients.
Through my work experience, I have demonstrated maturity, reliability, and a strong ability to inspire those around me. With a solid academic background in management and economics, I bring a focused, results-driven approach to every role I undertake.
I have gained professional experience working alongside senior managers to plan and direct operations across various departments, including marketing, sales, customer service, purchasing, merchandising, and human resources. I also managed and established accounts to build a comprehensive understanding of business operations.
I actively contributed to recruitment processes, supporting the management board in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees. I utilised company reports to analyse sales performance, gross profit, and inventory levels. In collaboration with management, I developed and implemented strategies to protect company assets and ensure continued profitability.
I am highly organised and strategic in managing my time, ensuring priorities are handled productively and efficiently. I have maintained strong, positive relationships with both staff and customers across a range of business environments—whether high or low volume, fast or steady-paced.
Due to global changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, I chose to transition into a new industry and joined A1 Care. I began my journey as a care support worker, and from the outset, I recognised that my diverse professional background would not hinder my development. On the contrary, it enabled me to transfer and apply a wide range of valuable skills while achieving a healthier work-life balance.
My professional maturity and reliability allowed me to communicate clearly and effectively with the management board, service users, and colleagues. After completing my three-month probation period—during which I led by example on the front line—I was invited by the board to interview for a new role, and I was offered the position of Finance Administrator.
I proudly accepted the role, which felt like a natural fit. Drawing on both analytical and intuitive skills, I oversaw the financial operations of the business, performed key administrative and clerical tasks, managed organisational accounts, and was responsible for budgeting, payroll, inventory, invoicing, and customer service.
After six months in the role, I began contributing more strategically by identifying and mitigating risks, supporting decision-making, and proposing solutions to the management team.
This track record of strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective team management—built on a foundation of trust, integrity, and transparency—ultimately led to my most recent promotion: Finance Manager at A1 Care.
