Home Straight have always provided a consistent and personalised level of care to my mum. By getting to know her and her life and history they light up her day by having genuine conversations that without a doubt help with her dementia symptoms. It never feels rushed or 'going through the motions' which is essential to her dignity and feeling of self worth. From a family member's point of view having 100% confidence in the carers is enormously reassuring. The management team are very hands on and easy to access and take the time to get to know the service users and family. Without exception from both carers and management I will always get my calls returned. Great service.

My mother has received care from this business for many years until recently when she has now gone in to a local care home . We have always had the most outstanding care and attention from this company's employees especially my mum's most regular care giver who she and ourselves came to trust implicitly . From the first conversation we got some good information and helpful suggestions, well before we chose to use Home Straight. We have seen great friendly attitude from all the carers and staff we have met and talked to, and had no issues at all.
Our relation has appreciated both the practical support they have received with meals and house activities, and the encouragement to be involved in these, and so still feeling a good level of independence. The companionship and just chatting during the visits have been a big part of the service for us and meant our relation sees the Home Straight carers as "friends" coming to help them.
We found having access to the visit notes has been excellent, and really helped us keep in touch with the service and the carers.
We would have no hesitation in using Home Straight in the future should the need arise.

A friend recommended Home Straight to us when we asked him about his cleaner. After initial heavy use when my wife came out of hospital, we are now down to a regular twice a week care visit plus weekly cleaner. All carers happy and efficient, prompt (or phone if delayed). Any stand-in carers for those on holiday etc. have been equally good - or even better! My wife and I are happy to welcome these ladies into our home. Contact from Home Straight management has always been helpful and timely. This has continue following the recent change of ownership.

My Aunt has been very satisfied with HomeStraight and they have provided for all her needs to date and been helpful with Attendance Allowance Paperwork.

When my Mum moved to the area two years ago we were very nervous about finding care for her that was as good as she was leaving behind. From the very first telephone conversation with Home Straight it was clear we had nothing to worry about. The service Mum has received has been exemplary and they have gone above and beyond on more than one occasion. Home Straight have provided personal care, cleaning, cooking, the odd bit of shopping, along with a few trips out in the local area. All of this has been done with genuine care, compassion, patience, friendship and plenty of laughs along the way. We have already recommended Home Straight to a friend who is now equally impressed with the help and support their Dad is receiving. My heartfelt thanks go out to every member of the team.

My wife and I are very happy with the service we are getting from Home Straight. We have a regular two hour slot on Tuesday afternoon involving support from a member of staff. We have also had two one off overnight stays when my wife has been away on a visit to Yorkshire. Everything works very well and Home Straight is easily accessible by phone. We couldn't be any happier with what Home Straight and its staff are providing. Excellent.

Home Straight are helping us out each morning, getting my husband ready for the day ahead. The care that my friend receives from Home Straight is just brilliant. It is due to this care that my friend is able to still live in her own home. Recently my friend's sister died and Home Straight took my friend to her sister's funeral to ensure she could attend. Home Straight also arrange for all the external care appointments she needs: Dr, Chiropodist, Hair, Nails, Dentist. My friend's key worker is a star and she often goes to great lengths to ensure that my friend is not anxious, has all that she needs and maintains her care plan for the other members of the team. All in all a great service delivered by some very competent, caring, empathic, discrete professional carers. Thank you Home Straight.

The girls from Home Straight have been caring for Mum for several years now. They are kind, willing, caring and adaptable. We wouldn't be without them. They go shopping for her, make her juices, help with cleaning, supervise her medications, take her to hospital and doctor visits when needed and even drop her off and pick her up from the hairdressers.

Meet the Team (6)
I have worked for Home Straight since 2017, when I moved to Rutland.
I started as a support worker in 2017 and progressed with Home Straight to a Registered Manager in 2025.
I have been working in the care sector since I left school and have worked in care homes and hospitals. I had a brief break from care when I had my daughter, and then found love for care again when I moved to Rutland and found Home Straight... I haven't looked back since.
I have worked in the care sector for almost a decade and have been with Home Straight for over 10 years. I started my journey as a carer and progressed to becoming a Train the Trainer expert in Moving and Handling, before stepping into my current role as Deputy Manager in 2025.
I believe no two days are ever the same in care, which is one of the things I love most about the job. Making a positive difference to our clients’ lives is incredibly rewarding and something I am very passionate about.
Outside of work, you will usually find me nurturing my allotment, where I even grew the flowers for my wedding.
I’m excited to be joining the Home Straight team/family and managing the live-in service, which will ensure we provide a high-quality, personalised service for people who wish to have full-time care at home.
Personally, I cared for my grandpa in his later life and fully understand the pressures faced by family and carers who provide care to a loved one.
I have a long career working in H&SC, starting by taking initial referrals and assessing eligibility for small packages of care for the local authority. I then moved into care management and began visiting people in the community and hospital to assess for ongoing H&SC services. Began specialising in Dementia care, conducting capacity assessments and multi-disciplinary team working. This then led onto a role working under the contracts and assurance service whereby I led on the annual audits, un/announced inspections, and portfolio management of regulated services. Most recently, I managed the community equipment service for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
I joined Home Straight originally as a carer, and now I manage the rotas. If you call us to discuss your invoice or rota it is often me you will speak to.
I live locally with my family and my dog. I enjoy gardening and walking and spending time with my family.
I began my journey with Home Straight as a cleaner, and now I’m thrilled to be serving as their Community Engagement Officer. I’m passionate about connecting with our community, empowering individuals to realise they can receive exceptional care at home, and showcasing the amazing work we do.
When I’m not championing Home Straight, you can find me enjoying the great outdoors at local parks or having fun in soft play with my son.
I’m Amander, and I work part-time as a Community Engagement Officer for Home Straight and have been with the company for six months.
My role is to spread the word within the wider community in Rutland about home care in general. As part of the community team, we set up and attend as many events as possible across the region to let people know about the services Home Straight offers. Our goal is always to support Rutland people to live well at home for as long as possible.
You’ll find us handing out our goody bags and leaflets at all kinds of community events and at venues like garden centres, village halls, churches, markets, street fairs and much more.
