They have been absolutely fantastic in respect to their organisation and an amazing group of carers. My aunt was supported and cared for by a team of Right at Home staff from December 2018 to March 2019. During this time, her mental health needs increased considerably. She was always treated with respect and dignity. All staff very quickly became familiar with her life story and ensured meaningful ‘in the moment’ rapport and appropriate, ‘professional friendship.’
Practical support was excellent and ever flexible both in the timing and number of daily visits needed, and the range of tasks. As well as companionship, care and meals the team provided cleaning, shopping, collection of prescriptions, care of her pet, packing an overnight bag – searching for her glasses - the list goes on!
Both formal and informal communication between the manager and ourselves was excellent allowing for honest and realistic assessment of her changing needs and adjustments to her care requirements. I highly recommend this lovely team, and wish to thank them unreservedly for their support.

Right at Home have been professional from the start. My mother, aged 94, has dementia and is not always cooperative. She is also quite heavy. The carers are friendly, kind and patient and do their best to make my mother comfortable. She loves them and they keep her very happy in her bed-ridden condition - no bed scores and she is always clean and comfortable when they are finished. They quickly pick up any infections mother has and organise Dr visits and answer any queries promptly. We are grateful to the carers and would be very happy to recommend Right at Home to others.

Being a people person is one of my strengths, which I bring into my role daily. Whether handling administrative tasks or providing homecare assistance to our clients, I find joy in connecting with people and helping them feel comfortable and supported. The feeling of being able to help people is incredibly fulfilling, and it's one of the main reasons I love my job. Plus, the team here is fantastic, and our camaraderie makes every day enjoyable.

Fresh from my travels, stepping into the role of Caregiver was a new chapter for me, one filled with discovery, learning, and immense satisfaction. Living in Hazel Grove has given me the opportunity to be part of a community where I can make a real difference through elderly care at home and homecare assistance.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to any situation. This skill has been a cornerstone of my caregiving approach, allowing me to confidently and flexibly meet our client's diverse needs. This adaptability makes each day varied, fulfilling, and immensely rewarding.
