Practical support was excellent and ever flexible both in the timing and number of daily visits needed, and the range of tasks. As well as companionship, care and meals the team provided cleaning, shopping, collection of prescriptions, care of her pet, packing an overnight bag – searching for her glasses - the list goes on!
Both formal and informal communication between the manager and ourselves was excellent allowing for honest and realistic assessment of her changing needs and adjustments to her care requirements. I highly recommend this lovely team, and wish to thank them unreservedly for their support.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my own family. Whether we’re relaxing together at home or heading off on a holiday, those moments mean everything to me. I’m also a big fan of dancing, it’s fun, freeing, and always lifts my mood! At home, I share life with my two cats, Lucky and Missy, who are full of personality and keep me on my toes.
If I ever found myself on a desert island, I’d definitely bring my phone, hopefully with signal! Staying connected is so important to me, both personally and professionally.

Hi, I’m Jaya, and I’ve been working as a Care Assistant with Right at Home Cheshire East since September 2024. Although I’ve only been with the team for just under a year, I already feel right at home, pardon the pun! It’s a genuinely rewarding role that allows me to make a positive difference in people’s lives every single day.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a kind and caring person. That’s just who I am. So being in a job where those traits are not only appreciated but essential is something I feel incredibly lucky for. Whether I’m helping someone get ready for the day, preparing a meal, or simply offering a friendly chat, I love being able to bring a little joy and comfort to someone’s routine.
There’s something incredibly special about home care. Supporting people to remain in their own homes, especially in familiar areas like Stockport, adds a level of reassurance and independence that can’t be overstated. To know that I’ve helped make someone’s day just that bit easier or brighter is why I do what I do.
What I really enjoy about working at Right at Home Cheshire East is the meaningful relationships I get to build, not just with Clients, but also with my fellow CareGivers. The team is welcoming, warm, and supportive, and you truly feel like you’re part of something that matters. It’s about so much more than delivering a service; it’s about being a trusted companion in someone’s daily life.
When I’m not out and about supporting our amazing Clients, I love relaxing at home with my cats, Judy, Cobble, and Chonky. They’re my little furry family and bring a lot of joy and chaos to the house in equal measure! I also enjoy quiet time with my family; just being together and enjoying each other’s company is one of life’s simple pleasures. If I were ever stuck on a desert island, there’s no doubt about it, I’d bring one of my cats with me (although choosing just one would be the hard part!).

Hi, I’m Jordan, and I’ve been working as a Senior Care Assistant with Right at Home Cheshire East since January 2024. With over 18 months in this role and several years of caring under my belt, I can honestly say I’ve found the career that suits me best. For me, care is more than just a job; it’s about forming real, meaningful connections with people and making a positive difference in their lives.
I’ve always been a hardworking, caring, and loving person, and those qualities really shine in this role. Every day, I have the opportunity to get to know our Clients, their stories, their personalities, and what matters most to them. That’s one of the things I love most about the job: everyone is unique, and there’s always something new to learn from the people we support.
Whether it’s through personal care, clinical assistance, or simply being someone to talk to, I believe in offering consistent, compassionate support. I take great pride in being someone our Clients and their families can rely on. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I’ve helped someone feel safer, more comfortable, or less alone.
One of my favourite parts of the job is providing companionship care in Poynton and the surrounding areas. That one-to-one time spent with Clients, whether we’re out for a walk, having a chat over lunch, or just listening to music together, can have such a big impact. It’s these moments of friendship and trust that make the work so special.
I live in Manchester, but I travel across Cheshire East as part of my role, and I love getting to visit different places. I enjoy walking and exploring new areas; it helps me recharge and gives me a fresh perspective. I’m also really into gaming and technology (a bit of a tech enthusiast, to be honest!), and I never say no to a good music session. Whether it's relaxing with a playlist or sharing tunes with a Client, music has a way of bringing people together.
If I ever found myself stranded on a desert island, I’d definitely bring food, because, well, who wouldn’t? Priorities!
One thing I’d add is that I genuinely love getting to know people. Building friendships, even in the simplest ways, is something I value deeply, both at work and in life. Hi, I’m Jenny, and I’m one of the newest members of the Care Team here at Right at Home Cheshire East. I joined in March 2025, and even though I’ve only been in the role for a few months, it’s already been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
I’ve always considered myself a reliable person, someone people can count on, and that’s something I bring into every Client visit. Whether I’m helping with daily routines, supporting someone on an outing, or just being a friendly face to chat to, I take pride in showing up and making someone’s day just that little bit easier.
What I love most about being a Care Assistant is the variety and the people. I get to meet so many individuals from all walks of life, and I’m constantly reminded how powerful human connection can be. It’s such a privilege to be welcomed into someone’s home, to earn their trust, and to support them in living life on their terms. Those moments of genuine connection, whether it’s a shared laugh, a story told over a cup of tea, or just knowing someone feels less alone, are what make this job so special.
Although I’m based in Manchester, I spend a lot of my working day out and about in the Cheshire East area, supporting our Clients in places like Stockport, Wilmslow, and Poynton. Providing consistent, person-centred home care means a lot to me, it’s about respecting people’s independence while offering a steady hand and a warm heart.
Outside of work, I’m all about keeping active and enjoying the outdoors. I love running and hiking, it helps me clear my head and gives me a sense of achievement. Whether I’m exploring local trails or powering through a city run, I always feel recharged afterwards. I also really value time with friends, whether we’re out for a bite to eat or just catching up over a brew, it’s those small moments that matter.
And if I were ever stranded on a desert island? I’d be taking crisps. No question. I’d probably miss a lot of things, but I know I couldn’t survive long without a salty snack or two!
Though I’m still new to the care sector, I’m learning every day, and I’m so proud to be part of a team that genuinely cares. The support and training I’ve received from Right at Home have been amazing, and I already feel like I’ve found my place. For me, making a difference, no matter how small, is what it’s all about.
