There is a variety of care services available to seniors and adults with both physical and mild learning disabilities. Services are personalised to each individual through a Personal Care Plan that is delivered by highly-trained CareGivers. If you cannot see the services you need, they might be able to source training in order to meet your requirements.

Clients receive support for the the full time that they pay for, as CareGivers travel in their own time.

Visits are never rushed.

CareGivers are carefully matched to Clients and, time allowing, introduced to each other before your care begins.

There is a professional dress code but no uniform, as the team recognise that some Clients prefer a discreet service when out and about in the local community.

My husband, who has motor neurone disease and now has no movement in his body, has had care from Right at Home for the last 12 months. He has very minimal communication. The carers over the last 12 months have mainly been excellent and show a good understanding of his complex needs. He has care every
morning to shower and dress him and move him from the bedroom to his chair in the lounge. He has to have 2 carers to hoist and turn him. He enjoys the camaraderie of the carers and rewards them with a smile. Most of the time, the service has been excellent. Communication is very important.

Right at Home have been looking after my father following a discharge from hospital. Following a terminal diagnosis, the family were struggling to cope and very worried about how we would be able to look after him. Right at Home stepped in with less than 24hrs notice. They have been wonderful with him,
and the carers have made him smile and laugh whilst looking after him. He has regular carers and looks forward to seeing them. They have also offered support to the wider family. We are now able to spend time with him as a family as they have taken away so much pressure.

Right at home provided care for my Mum who had Alzheimer's for around 10 months from April 2021 until Feb 2022. We were told she would have a small, consistent team of carers. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, Mum had many different carers, staff constantly left so it was virtually impossible for
her or us to build a relationship with them. The visits were often not at scheduled times and were often a lot shorter than they were supposed to be. Although most of the caregivers were nice and did their best, most of them seemed to have little understanding of Alzheimer's. We struggled with common sense things, such as them not checking for out-of-date food in the fridge. Communication from the manager was very poor, so it was difficult to sort out issues.
We swapped to a different agency around April this year and they have been amazing. Sadly Mum passed away in June, but we were glad that at least the care at the end of her life was excellent.

I had excellent advice prior to engagement which gave me all of the info I needed to discuss my father's needs with the NHS. When he was discharged Right at Home did a great job of supplying helpful, quality carers at very short notice. Since day one they have been excellent, flexible and professional.

An excellent service. The staff rota is carefully worked out to ensure a good match between carer and client. The rota is kept to a minimum so that my husband gets to know the carers and can build up a rapport with them. The standard of personal care is very good and the carers take the time to ensure

I’m the person who loves to keep everything running smoothly, making sure all the pieces fit together perfectly. One of the things I love most about my job is the variety of people I get to interact with. Being a people person, I thrive on the connections I make every day. I live in Disley, a lovely area that’s close to everything I need, including my children and grandchildren, who are the lights of my life. Hi, I’m Stu, and I’m a Senior Carer at Right at Home Cheshire East. I officially joined the organisation in February 2025, but I’ve been working in senior care roles for over four years now, and I can honestly say it’s the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had.


Care work isn’t just about meeting someone’s basic needs; it’s about helping people live with dignity, purpose, and independence. That’s what drives me every single day. Supporting our Clients to remain in the comfort of their own homes, especially across Stockport East, is more than just a service; it’s a responsibility I take great pride in.


One of my specialist skills is complex care, which means I often work with Clients who have more advanced or specific health needs. I thrive in those situations. I love being able to provide not only practical care but emotional support too, for both the Client and their families. Sometimes, just being a calm and reliable presence can make all the difference.


This job is incredibly rewarding. Whether I’m supporting someone through a challenging diagnosis, helping them with daily routines, or simply sharing a few moments of laughter, every day is meaningful. I also get to be part of an amazing team of CareGivers and support staff who genuinely care, we all go above and beyond for our Clients.


I live in Stockport myself, so providing home care in Stockport East feels very personal. These are my neighbours, my community, and I feel privileged to support them in living safely and happily in their own homes.
