From day one when Mum came out of hospital, they have looked after her brilliantly and with compassion. They've been an invaluable source of support and advice to me over the weeks. They are a genuine and really lovely team of people who feel part of the family.

Absolutely Rolls-Royce care. My mum was in the best hands and her last days were calm, peaceful and nurtured. Right at Home took care of not just Mum, but all of us, ensuring we were supported and able to cope at home. The best care anyone could have.

The carers over the last 12 months have mainly been excellent and show a good understanding of his complex needs. He has care every morning to shower and dress him and move him from the bedroom to his chair in the lounge. He has to have 2 carers to hoist and turn him. He enjoys the camaraderie of the carers and rewards them with a smile. Most of the time, the service has been excellent. Communication is very important.

Right at Home have been looking after my father following a discharge from hospital. Following a terminal diagnosis, the family were struggling to cope and very worried about how we would be able to look after him. Right at Home stepped in with less than 24hrs notice. They have been wonderful with him, and the carers have made him smile and laugh whilst looking after him. He has regular carers and looks forward to seeing them. They have also offered support to the wider family. We are now able to spend time with him as a family as they have taken away so much pressure.

Carers go above and beyond for me, nothing is ever too much for them when I ask for help, from housework to medication they do a marvellous job. I like my regular caregivers as they know my routine and make me laugh everyday, which again is a good thing. Happy with everything so far!

Right at home provided care for my Mum who had Alzheimer's for around 10 months from April 2021 until Feb 2022. We were told she would have a small, consistent team of carers. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, Mum had many different carers, staff constantly left so it was virtually impossible for her or us to build a relationship with them. The visits were often not at scheduled times and were often a lot shorter than they were supposed to be. Although most of the caregivers were nice and did their best, most of them seemed to have little understanding of Alzheimer's. We struggled with common sense things, such as them not checking for out-of-date food in the fridge. Communication from the manager was very poor, so it was difficult to sort out issues.
We swapped to a different agency around April this year and they have been amazing. Sadly Mum passed away in June, but we were glad that at least the care at the end of her life was excellent.

Our aim is to provide the best possible care to those we support. From inception of mum’s care package, we raised with you that 24hr care would have been more suitable given mum’s condition, this was something you did not wish to proceed with. During the unprecedented pandemic the impact of guidelines along with a national staffing crisis due to Covid -19 at various times meant the same team could not always be provided, nor could the precise times requested for the visits, this was explained fully at the outset. The CQC guidance to services considering the impact of the pandemic was to risk rate clients based on needs and where required, call times would have to be reduced to essential tasks only. We have no record of any formal complaints made by you and all clients were informed of any changes. All our staff are fully trained to provide Alzheimer’s care. Once again, we are very sorry that you feel the experience did not meet your expectations.

Hey, I'm Caitlin Maher, Right at Home's Compliance Officer since November 4, 2021. Over the past three years, I've been dedicated to ensuring our home care services meet the highest standards. I focus on working directly with our clients to ensure their needs and preferences are at the forefront of everything we do.
What do I love about my job? It's rewarding beyond words, supported by an incredible management team, and filled with opportunities to care for the fantastic people we work with. I'm a Stockport resident through and through. When I'm not at work, you can find me enjoying the thrill of banger racing, socialising with my friends, and indulging in my love for all things food.
My phone would be my must-have on a deserted island, keeping me connected to the world and the people I cherish. Willow, my loyal dog, is my companion in adventure and relaxation, reminding me of the joy and responsibility we carry in caring for others.

Hey there! I'm Leon, and I've been part of the Right at Home Cheshire East family as a Senior Night Carer since the winter of 2020. Stepping into this role in December was one of my best decisions. It marked a journey filled with growth, compassion, and the privilege of caring for others at night when they need it the most.
Being caring and compassionate isn't just what I do; it's who I am. These essential qualities drive me every night as I provide elderly care at home, ensuring our clients feel safe, supported, and understood during the hours when the world quiets down.
There are countless aspects of my job that I cherish, but if I had to highlight the top three, they would be:
The profound satisfaction that comes from caring for people is extraordinary. There's something extraordinary about making someone's night safer and more comfortable.
I am grateful for the rewarding nature of my work. Every smile, thank you, and moment of peace I can bring to someone's night reminds me of my impact.
The endless learning opportunities. Whether enhancing my skills in night care or understanding the unique needs of those with dementia, every shift is a chance to grow.
Home for me is Gee Cross in Hyde, where I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by the love and chaos of my four Staffordshire Bull Terriers: Phoebe, Paige, Phoenix, and Penny. They're not just pets but part of my support system, providing endless joy and companionship.
Outside of work, my life is filled with hobbies that keep me active and bring me peace. Walking my dogs is more than exercise; it's my time to reflect, connect with nature, and enjoy the simple moments. Ice skating is my escape, a chance to glide away from life's stresses and embrace a feeling of freedom. And then there's my love for holidays—I treasure the opportunity to explore new places, experience different cultures, and make memories with my family.
Speaking of family, they are my world. If I found myself on a desert island, they're the one thing I couldn't live without. My family is my strength, motivation, and the reason I strive to be the best version of myself – both professionally and personally.
My journey in-home care, particularly in night care, has taught me the value of every interaction, the importance of kindness, and the impact of dedicated care. It's more than a job; it's a calling that has allowed me to make a real difference in the lives of those I care for. Being a people person is one of my strengths, which I bring into my role daily. Whether handling administrative tasks or providing homecare assistance to our clients, I find joy in connecting with people and helping them feel comfortable and supported. Hi, I'm Lisa, and my journey with Right at Home began on a sunny day in August 2020. Fresh from my travels, stepping into the role of Caregiver was a new chapter for me, one filled with discovery, learning, and immense satisfaction. Living in Hazel Grove has given me the opportunity to be part of a community where I can make a real difference through elderly care at home and homecare assistance.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to any situation. This skill has been a cornerstone of my caregiving approach, allowing me to confidently and flexibly meet our client's diverse needs. This adaptability makes each day varied, fulfilling, and immensely rewarding.

Travelling has always been a passion of mine, opening my eyes to new experiences and perspectives that I now bring into my caregiving role.
On a desert island, the one thing I couldn't live without is music. It's a source of comfort, motivation, and joy for me, much like the care I aim to provide for others.
A personal note from me: My venture into care needed to be planned. Returning from my travels in 2020, I sought something meaningful, something where I could make a tangible difference. That's how I found myself in care, and I've never looked back. The opportunity to meet and support a wide variety of people, each with their unique stories and needs, has been incredibly rewarding. It's affirmed my commitment to this field, and I see myself continuing to grow and contribute to the world of care long term.

One of the things I love most about my job is the variety of people I get to interact with. Being a people person, I thrive on the connections I make every day. I live in Disley, a lovely area that’s close to everything I need, including my children and grandchildren, who are the lights of my life. When I’m not busy at work, you’ll often find me spending quality time with them. Whether it’s reading a good book or soaking up the sun on a well-deserved holiday, I always make the most of my downtime. And speaking of downtime, if I ever found myself on a desert island, I’d definitely need a lifetime supply of teabags—I mean, who doesn’t love a good brew?
Although I don’t have any pets, I certainly have my hands full with my family and my job.
