After a bad care experience, we were very wary when we decided to look at alternative agencies but we were very fortunate to be recommended Acacia Stockport.
From the start, Acacia have been professional and understanding of our situation and were able to help us out at very short notice. They assured us the level of care my father would receive would be very different and it certainly has been!
What a breath of fresh air the staff are, the carers are experienced, kind, understanding and extremely patient. Dad is always spoken to with respect, good humour and he looks forward to their visits.
Acacia try to keep to the same small group of staff where possible and the rota is sent out in advance which my dad loves as he knows who to expect and when. Communication has also been great, with any queries we raise receiving a timely response, and any small issues are smoothed out quickly. We highly recommend Acacia.
The director and her team have provided efficient, safe and friendly night-care of my frail and elderly mother since her discharge from hospital following a fall in October 2019. This continued until March 2020 when it was necessary to suspend care due to Covid-19. Mum really looked forward to the carers' visits and considered them her friends. The fact that it was the same staff who regularly cared for her really mattered. I can't praise them highly enough and will be resuming normal business as soon as safely possible.
There is always someone available at the office to speak to if necessary - I have no complaints at all, only compliments for a great service which is very well run and managed.
A consistently high level of care has been given throughout a difficult time during lockdown. My father’s care has enabled him to live safely in his home with daily contact from the team of carers who show respect to my father at all times. They always appear to know him and his needs well. At this time the team have overcome the difficulties of communicating with him whilst fully covered up with PPE and are cheerful when making visits. Thank you for going that extra mile!
Our experience of being cared for by Acacia has made an enormous difference to our quality of living. The staff are always caring and polite, helpful and considerate, as we would expect. However, we find they are also always willing to go that bit further to make sure we are safe and comfortable. They are also punctual, something which was always a problem with our previous carer regime staff. Requests for occasional changes from the normal routine have never been a problem. I can honestly say I do not know how we would manage without them. When they arrive it is, to coin a phrase, like a friend dropping in.
Acacia provides Mum with the very highest standards of care in her own home via four visits a day seven days a week, as we headed into the official covid-19 lockdown period. I entered into complete self-isolation just in case it was needed for me to move in with Mum to provide the care myself, this precautionary measure was never required, as Acacia staff and managers quickly instigated and adapted to all relevant safety measures required to ensure both Mums safety and that of the carers. The ladies go above and beyond what is expected of them, and they are greatly appreciated by Mum and give us great comfort in knowing her complex care package is in safe hands.

Meet the Team (3)
I opened Acacia Homecare in 2018 and my many years of knowledge and experience in the care industry have helped me understand what it takes to provide the best care. As a family we looked after my Mum at home to the very end and since then I have always had a passion to keep people where they are most comfortable, which for most is in their own home. I have worked in the home care sector for over 20 years as registered manager and operations director and was finally able to open my own company.
Louise joined us in 2025 with vast experience in larger organisations and staffing. Her knowledge is helping us to excel to the next level! Louise's role is to oversee the service, and her main focus is recruitment, staffing, business development and compliance management.
Cassie joined us in 2025 as deputy manager and very quickly progressed to manager. She has vast experience in care and is currently studying her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
