On a day to day basis, all the care staff have proven to be of the highest calibre responding to the changing needs of my mother’s deteriorating condition. They're protective, amenable and kind - she loves them all and they genuinely respond to her.
In a recent incident, my mother was in danger in her own home being threatened and intimidated as a victim of a scam. The care staff responded impeccably and professionally to ensure my mother’s continued safety, calling the police, informing myself and arranging temporary care accommodation through social services.
I can not thank them enough - this is not just a job they do it’s a vocation.

They also keep on top of feeding me information to give the other agencies involved in this, to make sure the whole thing stitches together. I've never been in a situation like this before, and having someone on your side who knows how things work is invaluable. I'm making it up as I go along, and I need all the help I can get.
The ladies in the office have also been very helpful. When I needed to increase the care package, it only took a short call to the manager and things happened. Suffice to say that this isn't the case with every organisation I'm dealing with - so having someone who listens and gets things done makes all the difference.

The carers that visit my parents have hearts of gold and will always give as much as they can. They are true professionals that approach every situation with calmness and compassion. Before leaving the care home (22 months postoperative) I made enquiries about a care company to choose as I had had a bad experience in my previous care and my mother's too. I gathered that I should look no further than The Great Care Company and after a preliminary interview as to my requests and concerns, I signed the contract. There was a 14 day cooling-off period after commencement of the contract and I can truthfully say that within a few days I could honestly report that the team of carers are truly exceptional and the humour and exemplary care has given me two hours of pleasure in what otherwise would be a pretty depressing scenario as locked in with minimal, but improving mobility and a host of other medical problems. The carers both young and more senior make my day and we laugh, discuss a plethora of subjects and genuinely enjoy each others company. So if that is what you need in your care then these are the ladies for you. They may be more expensive but you get what you paid for!

They have done this from the management team through to the carers who visit him every day. Their unstinting care and professionalism shine through in every aspect of their work.
They have together raised my friend's expectations and outlook on the rest of his life and through their care, have enabled him to come to terms with his expected death in the not too distant future. They have cheered him up. They are there for him.
I have had personal contact with senior management and many of the carers and have found all of them very competent, outstandingly caring and prepared to go the extra mile. Nothing is to much trouble.
I have power of attorney for my friend's health welfare and finance. I found this an onerous task until the company took over. What a weight they took off my shoulders.
They have also offered help to me and my wife in the current coronavirus epidemic.

Being away from my parents, it is a huge reassurance to know that a professional is visiting every morning. They take care of Dads personal care, which means my mum can relax while they are there. I trust them totally, in my parent's house, and with their needs.
They are totally reliable, never letting us down. They keep in constant contact with myself, enquiring about their service if anything needs changing. Setting up with them was thorough, they ensured they fully understood Dads needs and wishes. Reviews are held regularly to amend this if wanted.

The carers that come in to see my neighbour have been great. They are so friendly to him, and nothing is ever too much. My mother has now had home carers for the nearly twelve months and I have nothing but praise for the company. Previous to changing, my brother, sister, and myself were very concerned that mum was struggling to look after herself in her own home and yet she desperately wanted to stay. My mum is visited three times a week by the carers from The Great Care Company. They are very caring towards her and I am more than happy with their visits as they care for her in a way that I would care for her myself and wish for her to be cared for. They are very caring but at the same time are very professional, but also they have a laugh with her and chat with her which she loves.

I would highly recommend The Great Care Company to anybody who is looking for care for an elderly relative. They have been going to my mum for several months and the difference in mum is unbelievable. The girls that look after mum always go above and beyond to make sure mum is cared for. They will do anything mum asks of them. They treat her like family and she absolutely loves the company and somebody to talk to. I would highly recommend anyone to use this service. From the start of the process, everything was carried out extremely professionally, the visits prior to the care being implemented was friendly and supportive for my Mother and every part of the care package tailored to her needs. When the carers came, from day 1 they were very friendly and put my Mother at ease, they talked to her and explained everything they were going to do from getting her undressed, showered etc checking all the while she was comfortable and never rushed in any way. They prepared her meals, again checking her requirements and even sat with ensuring she didn't need any help during meal times. With regards to the timings of the visits, I can honestly say the carers were always on time and always turned up. They were very respectful in the home, always leaving things very tidy and even washed up any dishes. The reports written by the carers following every visit were very comprehensive.

Anne has dedicated more than 20 years to the care sector and has been our Registered Manager since we first opened in 2018. Her passion lies in making sure every client receives not only the highest standards of care but also the kindness, dignity and respect they deserve. Known for her caring nature and approachable style, Anne builds strong relationships with clients, families and staff, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for all.
A key part of Anne’s role has been leading our Extra Mile Scheme, which has delivered over 1,800 hours of free care and support to clients who needed that little bit more. This has included everything from being there in times of emergency to offering companionship, emotional support, and helping clients enjoy special moments that brighten their day. The scheme is all about going above and beyond the usual duty of care—whether that means organising small surprises, sharing homemade gifts, or simply spending extra time with someone who needs it.
