We have been supported by carers from Third Hand Care for over a year now. Each and every carer who enters our home is warm, friendly, and compassionate. It is an absolute delight to see their interactions with my brain-injured husband. Even on his dark days when he is frustrated with his dependence on others, they are professional and patient. We have used other agencies who were good but don’t come close to the consistent standard of care shown by third-hand care. They are excellent and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone needing home support.

Fantastic, flexible and caring staff.
Lovely friendly staff who are experienced in the type of care needed and respect my daughter's wishes. Good response on the phone if care times need to be adjusted for any reason.

The carers that looked after my late mum, from October till December, were absolutely wonderful and it didn’t seem like a job to them. So gentle and patient and although they are on a time limit, as they have other patients to tend to, nothing seemed too much. They were always polite and willing to ask questions about Mum's hobbies and the family. They also treated Mum with respect.

Overall, a very good/pleasing experience of Third Hand Carers. We are a family group who share caring for our bedridden mother. We all have nothing but good things to say about the level of care provided. The staff are kind and courteous at all times and always show respect for our mother. The only negative is sometimes, if running late, the contact with ETA could be improved, otherwise all good.

Nothing is ever too much trouble from the office staff, carers and management. Have been with the agency for 9-months, also can find no fault. I have four visits daily. The staff who have come to me have always been in a smart uniform with face masks; they are clearly well trained and always act professionally. They are caring, friendly and polite. Each visit, they ask how I am and note my welfare. They listen to me well and always before leaving ask have you got all you need. A number of times, I have been unwell when a carer has arrived and taken appropriate action. They have called 999 when clearly needed, and other times phoned 111 and spoke to managerial staff. I trust them totally. Managerial staff, have with my permission, liaised with GP when necessary, have collected urgent extra prescriptions for me when I have none. I know if I notify them of a problem I have/need, act promptly to help.

I have been very impressed by the level of care given by two carers. They are friendly, capable and very caring to my husband. I would have no hesitation in recommending Third Hand Care. The only downside is that I don't always know what time they will call, but I appreciate that it is not easy to suit everybody.

Staff are friendly and helpful.
However, when carers are delayed, there is often a lack of communication between the carers, office and client leading to frustration on my husband's part if he is left in bed or unable to get to bed.
