The Manager and Folkestone Home Care understood the care needed for my mum and acted immediately when circumstances changed. You couldn’t want for better carers, they really care about the person and engage with them, not just for physical care but their mental care and wellbeing. I cannot recommend them enough.

Folkestone Home Care have been providing home care for my 95-year-old mother at our flat. My mother is in terminal decline and her medical care is palliative. The team is characterised by its compassion, professionalism and love. Every team member has performed faultlessly and delivered sustained care of the highest quality. They are angels.

Absolutely recommend Folkestone Home Care. I had to find urgent home care for my mum with dementia, due to her partner passing away. The manager came out to meet us straight away and was so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Carers were in place and a rota drawn up within a few days. Really impressed with the care provided to my mum by the lovely girls, coming up with ideas for lunch plans, playing the guitar for her and being flexible with us needing cover for her appointments and lunches. The carer even went with my mum to the hospital when she was found to be unwell one morning. Definitely glad we chose this company.

We are extremely pleased with the attention we have received from Folkestone Home Care. Our first interviews were helpful and all-inclusive and resulted in my husband being cared for, for three hours per week so I can have time to myself. The carer always arrives on time, always greets my husband with a smile and conversation, and I gather spends time looking at books, going around the garden and engaging in conversation. She also does my ironing! My husband is always relaxed and happy on my return. I feel completely at ease leaving him with his carer.

Our carers are so friendly. My husband likes a laugh and we end up having a good laugh all together. They are very professional, very good and even do his exercises with him. My husband doesn't take to people straight away, but with these carers, he is very comfortable. They take great care of him. They are worth every penny we pay. They keep an eye on his blood pressure and send the results to our doctors. Always clean up after they finish. Cannot speak highly enough of them.

We have been using the services of Folkestone Home Care for 2 weeks now. The initial contact and information with was very professional and the introductory meeting very helpful and informative. My father has since been very happy with his daily visits and I would be very happy to recommend them to other potential clients. They do seem to be a company who really care.

I did a lot of research when looking for care for my mother and was drawn to Folkestone Home Care as their response to my initial enquiry was personal, not just a standard business email, but a phone call to better understand our needs. This initial impression was then matched entirely by the time that they cared for mum. Her needs developed at a speed that confounded the medical profession yet, at all times, Folkestone Home Care responded with compassion and support for all of the family, flexing their services to deliver what was required, at times with no notice. Then, when it became clear, that Mum's health was failing, they used their knowledge and influence to support me to get Mum the best possible help. Our family will never forget the support given to us all by Folkestone Home Care and would recommend them without hesitation.

It's now been three months since Folkestone home care started supporting my mother. The carers are professional and attentive and the proprietor is very approachable and knowledgeable. I am particularly impressed with the concerted effort to improve my mother's skin condition when undertaking personal care as I was resigned to it being poor due to incontinence. Given the current state of social care, I am relieved that I managed to find Folkestone homeware and happy to recommend them to others.

We appreciate their holistic approach in their care for their clients and families and their dedication to ensuring, as far as possible, a safe and healthy life in their own home for as long as possible.

From our first meeting I have been very impressed by the Director/Registered Manager of Folkestone Home are. She has proven she is very committed to deliver the best of care and my father and I have been very happy with her and her team since the beginning.

My father lives well over 100 miles from me and the rest of his family, so we have been reassured that he is in capable hands. She and her team have been brilliant, showing kindness and concern, especially on those days when he has felt a little under the weather. She has also been proactive in making sure Dad’s surgery is updated on Dad’s health condition and has prompted them to visit and review his medications.

I cannot recommend Folkestone Home Care enough! They were fantastic, and I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending them. 15 out of 10 is understated, and I'm a fussy person. The manager is a joy to work with, really friendly; courteous; old school, responsible attitude. And she attended when stated. It is a very professional, and reliable operation. Led from the top, they went out of their way, well above their remit to ensure I was well cared for. You can tell, Folkestone Home Care have that ethos to help out where they can. I’m not saying they are the best in the area, but they’re in the top 1.

My wife and I have a friend who is 100 and lives alone, close to where we live. For the last several months our friend has been cared for by the team at Folkestone Homecare. The care provided has been of the very highest standard and delivered with care, compassion and dignity, as well as humour. Nothing is missed, the smallest details are attended to in order to enhance the quality of care provided, and the manager oversees it all and is very hands-on, her staff are marvellous and our friend looks forward to their visits. The staff attending are always punctual, polite and genuinely care about what they are doing and how they deal with our friend.

Perhaps the best way I can describe the quality of care is to say this. My own mum is elderly, should the situation arise whereby she needed home care, I would not hesitate in making Folkstone Home Care my first port of call as I know exactly the very high quality of care that would be provided.

My mother-in-law has been receiving care from this agency for the past four months and is very satisfied with her overall care. She has found the carers to be polite, respectful and willing to do any chores requested. One of the carers has taken over and is nurturing her Orchid plant, much to the delight of the client, as it's a gift from her grandson. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no disruption of service during the recent snowstorms. The staff are punctual, and if for some reason they were unable to make the designated time, they phoned the client to inform her. This is a very necessary thing, in my opinion, as clients want to be able to depend on a carer showing up at the given time. We've found the staff are happy to make suggestions if they feel it will improve the care given e.g. switching the main meal from mid-afternoon to the evening. This makes it more compatible with the client's lifestyle. Knowing someone checks twice a day has made us comfortable with her living alone.

The service that has been provided has been excellent. Timekeeping has been punctual. I have been given assistance to source other necessary items and given help finding a chiropodist and a mobile hairdresser.

Folkestone Home Care, are a small team of carers and are always on time and very professional. They initially visit the client and tailor the care plan to suit the individual needs of each client. They carry out 6 monthly reviews of the plan and adjust where necessary. They are also very supportive and help with arranging mobility equipment etc supplied by the NHS. Each week we are issued with a list of visits with the name of the carer and the estimated time of arrival. These times are adhered to as much as possible and in the 2 years, or so of our relationship they have only been late a handful of times and that is normally due to an emergency elsewhere. If during their visit to a client they decide that the client is unwell or is having difficulties, they are very good at notifying the next of kin or if necessary call for the emergency services to attend. Altogether a very satisfactory setup.

In January 2020 Folkestone Home Care began to help our elderly friend, a widow with no close family. Formerly a chic, active woman, her quality of life was declining rapidly with poor mobility and other problems. The manager and her team have done more than we would have believed possible. Our friend, who was reluctant to acknowledge or share her problems now looks brighter, healthier, light-hearted again: able to remain in her home, her quality of life vastly improved. The manager has coordinated medical care with different agencies and organised her meds, ensured that she has healthy meals, that she, her house, and her clothes are clean and fresh. Always been there in a crisis. They take her to appointments the hairdresser, shopping. Like close family, they have helped with personal paperwork, resolved numerous difficulties, facilitated projects to enable her to get about and many times have gone out of their way to help our friend to stay in her home. We wholeheartedly recommend Folkestone Home Care. Wonderful.

Last November I needed to find help for my aunt, she is 92, living alone and sufferering from ongoing medical conditions. After investigating numerous options, we finally decided she would be best suited to staying at home and invited Folkestone Home Care to provide the support she needed. We were very impressed with the initial contact discussions in reassuring my aunt that everything which was being arranged was in her interest and for her wellbeing. For the past six months, Folkestone Home Care have attended three times per day. They quickly established contact with her GP and local pharmacy to resolve medication issues, they also made contact with local Social Services to resolve some house safety concerns. When GP, chiropody and hospital visits have been necessary, the appointments were arranged and chaperoned by Folkestone Home Care. They are now the first point of contact for my aunt’s “Life Line” call system and have been in attendance on several occasions when she called for assistance and even accompanied her to hospital.

It is wonderful to have 'peace of mind' once again. A huge thank you to the truly competent, hardworking manager and her team for the all-round professionalism, support and above all genuine care and understanding. Our mum has dementia/Alzheimer’s and for the last ten years has had a full-time live-in carer who has become part of our family. In September Mum lost most of the use of her legs. Wishing to keep Mum in her home with her carer whom she (and we) know and trust, we were met with a huge dilemma as to how to deal with things such as a hoist and 'additional hands' were needed. We struck gold when the manager came into our lives and she has worked with us and our carer to achieve all that we need now and ongoing to keep Mum in her own home. The manager has been working with us now for several months and I have held back writing this review as I wished to be sure of my feedback. I would recommend Folkestone Care in an instant and would urge anyone looking for 'additional support' to chat to the manager.

For the last few months, my husband and I have been looked after by the manager and her carers. We have both been overwhelmed by the high level of care they have afforded us. They have always been so very kind, helpful and supportive of all our needs, way beyond the call of duty. They have treated us and our home with the utmost respect and dignity which we so greatly appreciate. We cannot thank them enough and would certainly recommend them.
