I have found every part of the journey finding carers for my mother a very easy experience. From the initial phone conversation through to the general day to day experiences Home Instead are informative, efficient, caring and go over and above in all aspects. It has made my life much less stressful knowing there is someone at the end of an email/telephone call who is efficient and will help.
The carers are all very kind and helpful. My parents have 4 regular carers that they get on with very well and look forward to their visits. The office always contacts me if there are any concerns or changes and are always very happy to help in any way if possible.
As I had to have operations on my hands, on separate occasions and I live alone. My daughter and I thought it's a good idea to have care while recovering. My daughter contacted Home Instead and arrangements were made to visit me. What my needs would be were discussed, two very nice caregivers were introduced to me before care started. My operations were successful, and care commenced on the day of operation. Caregivers were excellent, anything I couldn't do was done well, and always cheerfully. My second hand has healed well, now care has been reduced. As I have mobility problems and now have once weekly care - everyone has been excellent. A very big thank you.
We used Home Instead to give us help with my Mum’s personal care and to allow us time out of the house. We found the caregivers they provided were friendly, willing and conscientious. They always stayed the full hour we paid for. I do not see how the service could have been better.
There have been occasional lapses in communication when there was uncertainty about which career was due to visit, but these have recently been overcome.
All of the ladies that come and care for me are helpful, kind, sociable and are a pleasure to have looking after me.
Home Instead has acted quickly, when changes required and have tried to select caregivers who fit with my parents.
I used Home Instead Dereham to take care of my aunt who had been diagnosed with vascular dementia and who lived on her own. I cannot recommend them highly enough. As someone who doesn't live nearby, the feedback via the app every day was invaluable. The caregivers were simply amazing - every single one quickly bonded with my aunt and she would chat about how she enjoyed having her "friends" over every day. They all took a genuine personal interest in my aunt and always gave above and beyond what was expected. Head Office were very professional, helpful and approachable and many a time helped out in a crisis moment. They are not the cheapest care provider out there, however, they are well worth the money and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Your family member will receive exemplary service by some wonderful people who do really care.
Very friendly and helpful staff look after my father. Nothing is too much for them to help him. The team have a very professional approach and are always at the end of the phone. Very helpful.
I chose this care provider for my mother after a recommendation by a friend and I am extremely glad I did. We had a meeting with a lovely lady from their office to discuss my mother's needs and exactly what it was we needed from them. Nothing was too much trouble and the detail that they went into with regards to our needs was outstanding. We soon had a plan agreed and once the carers started I could see why they come highly recommended. The carers themselves are fantastic, well trained and motivated and soon formed a fantastic bond with my mother. Another great thing about these people is their attention to detail. If there is anything out of the normal or something that they feel may need medical attention then they are on the phone to me straight away to discuss options'. Overall I cannot recommend this organisation enough.
Home Instead have been easy to work with, for example, while developing the care plan and managing ongoing needs. At all times, the support of the office staff and carers has been efficient, personable and imaginative, with a real focus on my mother's physical and emotional well-being. The mobile phone app is great, as this provides an up-to-the-minute update of the home visits - a real benefit as I live in a different part of the country. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend mid-Norfolk Home Instead.
All the carers who attend are friendly and effective and I like the fact that the carers are the same each week. The app is a great way to keep us informed on progress day by day. I also like the way the team contact with any concerns or ideas for future plans.
Home Instead Senior Care (Mid Norfolk) have provided support for my 93 year old father for the last 9 months and this has enabled him to remain in his own home. 3 Caregivers cover a weekly rota of 4 visits and so they quickly built up a rapport with my father. A range of Caregiving support is provided including companionship, light housekeeping and covering medical appointments. A particularly useful aspect of the service is to be able to view a summary of each visit as it is completed through a mobile phone app. Management and scheduling are provided in an efficient but personal manner. Overall this service provides quality support for my father and is just what I need as someone who lives a long distance away.
After a gentle exploratory meeting with the manager, we were both reassured she would always be treated as an individual, her needs paramount and met with support which could flex as her needs changed. After reflection, she bravely decided to dip a toe in the water and has not looked back!
She is brighter, happier and more engaged in the world around her, with more than a hint of that wicked sense of humour that once so defined her. Our time together is altogether calmer and much more fun.
It is not so much about what these excellent folks do but about how they do it. Kindly with respect and good humour and yet alert to changes and calm and professional in crisis.
Simply put – we both feel so much better now knowing that we have folk of this calibre involved in our lives now.
Thank you.
I am very happy with the service my family receives from Home Instead. This was our first experience of care at home and the whole process has been handled professionally and warmly. My mother in law was very reluctant to accept the help provided but enjoys the visits now and this process of acceptance was created by the caregiver in a very patient way. I find the whole team not only support my mother in law but the whole family as well.
My family and I have been working with the Dereham office of Home Instead for several months. My father has dementia and my mother, who was caring for him, died suddenly, just before Christmas, so Home Instead had to be extremely reactive and flexible with very little notice. All of the caregivers who have been attending to my father have been unfailingly professional but also warm, compassionate and kind. None of the family lives in the area but whenever we visit, we are cheered by the extremely positive and cheerful atmosphere in the house and we know that all of the caregivers do their utmost to make our father feel secure and comforted to be in his own home. The management have also been very reactive and easy to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
