I would recommend One Day At A Time regardless of what level of need you have.
I was very happy the way I was looked after. Very nice and polite lady.
The carer who has been visiting my Dad has been absolutely brilliant and is the carer my Dad felt most comfortable with whilst recouping after a hospital stay. The care company have been so accommodating allowing him to have this carer for every visit. She always went above and beyond and on one occasion that I know of even attended my dad's morning care visit when it was her day off. Once finished she then continued with her day off. She always listened and if there was any time left after completing everything my dad needed help with she would have a chat with my Dad, she would often be the only face he saw all day so this was important to us. You could tell she genuinely cared and enjoys her job and was not just ticking boxes for the tasks she had carried out throughout the visit. She was also so patient with my dad who has found it very frustrating not being able to do simple, everyday tasks that he could do a couple of months ago.
Dear esteemed relative, thank you for taking the time you provide your feedback. We are pleased to hear you are happy with the service and will ensure your feedback is shared with the carer.
One Day At A Time have been most reliable and helpful in arranging visits and outings for my husband with Alzheimer's. The carers have been friendly and competent and worked hard to build relationships. The manager is easy to contact and has worked hard to keep in touch and fit in with our plans.
Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to hear that you and your husband are benefiting from the care package you have arranged with us. We look forward to continue working together.
If you were to write a list of all the qualities that you would want in the carers for your family member, in my case, Father, the carers at One Day at A Time would tick every box! My father is mobility impaired and is bedroom-bound if not bed-bound. He is unable to do much for himself and needs 24/7 care. We were introduced to One Day at a Time after the NHS care package ran out after 6 weeks, some 18 months ago. We decided to ask One Day at a Time to come in each morning for 45 minutes to provide personal care, so washing, dressing in clean clothes etc. Each day that the carers come, my father is treated with respect and in a dignified manner. He is greeted with a smile and they show genuine care for his well-being. He looks forward to seeing the carers and enjoys getting to know them and having a laugh. I can honestly say that he gets more benefit from the carers coming than from the medication he has to take! I have no hesitation in recommending One Day at a Time to anyone who needs care.
Dear esteemed relative, we really value you taking the time to provide us with such lovely feedback. We are pleased to hear that we have made a difference in your father's life. I must say that the feeling is mutual and it has been a great privilege knowing him.
The general presentation to the user is very good overall. Greeting users in a cheery manner, which helps with rapport. Efficient use of allocated time and carrying out necessary checks, such as medication use, food intake and health care.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Your valuable opinion is helping us to improve our service.
This is all I have to say for now.
Thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we can improve our service. We look forward to continue working together to provide the quality care that your loved one wants and needs.
I have been using One Day at a Time for just over a year for my grandma. They have been amazing throughout, and they have taken away so much worry I had for my grandma looking after herself. All the staff are amazing and lovely and treat Grandma with care and respect. I get reports back whenever they have been in to see her, and the staff ring me about anything urgent. I thoroughly recommend One Day At A Time.
Thank you for taking the time in your busy schedule to provide some feedback. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the service we are providing to your grandma. We continue to work together with you to improve the support we provide to her to help keep her safe in her own home.
We had no hesitation in asking them to continue caring for my mother, and can not praise them enough for the help and support that she is now getting from them.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to others seeking the sort of assistance we are getting.
Excellent service for my mother-in-law, who has dementia and mobility problems. The team members we have met on our visits are lovely, extremely helpful and liaise with us directly when necessary. We could not ask for a better service.
This has been an excellent experience in our first few weeks of using the company. The visiting carers have been polite, friendly and very kind in their attitude when dealing with my husband.
One lady is warm and friendly, very professional and happy with the service given to me. She makes me feel safe in her hands.
Not only does our family member trust the carers completely and have a great rapport with them, but the communication between carers, management and ourselves has also been outstanding. I never doubt whether they will take action when medical help is needed, and their involvement has meant our family member is now able to access more regular medical help than ever before.
Having a family member with mental health and substance abuse issues can be incredibly draining. One Day at a Time has not only helped our family members but also relieved some of the burdens on us as we know and trust they will take care of them. This has had an immeasurable impact on our own mental health, as it finally feels like we have a trusted team in our corner.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with such lovely feedback. The communication has indeed been outstanding between the team and family members, which has for sure helped everyone, including you, to do the best we can. We look forward to continuing this partnership in supporting your loved one, One Day At A Time.
Happy with the care. Staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the seven o'clock bedtime, I would have liked it to be later. Apart from that, I was quite happy.
Very pleasant and friendly carers. Respectful and kind to my mother-in-law and attentive and careful regarding her individual needs. My mother-in-law has been making steady progress since her discharge from the hospital, and the carers have been a big help in encouraging her confidence and engaging in activities to support daily living.
Myself, my brother and my mother, who receive the care, are happy with the service provided. I live in London and cannot be with Mum as often as I’d like, so it is important that I have peace of mind that she sees a carer twice a day to sort out her medication and food.
Thank you for letting us know that you are happy with the care your mum is receiving. We are continuously working to improve the service we provide to our valued clients, and we hope that we continue to provide you with the peace of mind that your loved one is being cared for.
The carers are very helpful and always caring 100%.
Very good, really helpful and caring.
When introducing a new carer, the level of shadowing to ensure the carer is completely competent with all tasks is exceptional. The quality of care is consistent and thorough. The continuity of care is very important to me and definitely appreciate having the same carers day-to-day. Nothing is too much trouble and they always try to be flexible. I have a good rapport with both the carers and management.
I found the owner/employers to be professional, courteous and thorough. They are also proactive and provide good teaching skills, both practical and in theory, to their staff. The carers are patient and thoughtful and provide time for my husband. They are also understanding of my husband's frustrations. My husband feels they help him with his activities of daily living.

"With a career spanning over a quarter-century, my mission has been to redefine care not as a service, but as a profound human connection."
“I believe that exceptional care is only possible when we have the humility to see the world through the eyes of those we support, particularly children with learning disabilities and Autism, who remain my greatest teachers.”
“My philosophy is rooted in ‘Intentional Happiness.’ One Day At A Time. I advocate for a model where we move beyond clinical requirements to curate small, purposeful moments of joy. By celebrating our diversity and recognising our deep interconnectedness, we do more than deliver support- One Body, Many Parts, we cultivate a culture of lasting fulfilment for both the individual and the caregiver.” “Sharing my journey is about empowering the next generation of care professionals. I mentor others to look past the diagnosis and see the person, teaching them that while we are all different, our shared need for belonging is what binds us. This is the beauty of our world, and it is a privilege to champion it every day.”
