She loves to chat and enjoys the company of all the carers.
Her only observation would be that she would prefer her teatime carer visit to begin at 5.30 pm as she is not usually hungry before that time.
Thank you so much for all you do for Mum. Very much appreciated.
Since replacing the NHS Carers in January 2024, I have been totally satisfied with your service and support.
We have been allocated One Day At A Time Home Care through the local authority and we are so glad we have them. We had a different care agency before them and they offer a 1st class service. All of the carers are friendly and are just amazing at what they do. I could not ask for a better care agency to look after my mum and her care needs. We look forward to seeing them everyday and they seem more like our family now rather than carers as they are so personable and caring. They have all the time in the world and always make sure my mum is nice and clean and offer to help her with all sorts of things. With her condition, they have the knowledge and experience to meet her needs and give her the best level of care. I have sent several emails complimenting the carers as they deserve that. We would not want any other care company and grateful for the whole team. We would highly recommend One Day At A Time Home Care, as well as the carers the office staff are really nice too.
On the whole, the teams are working efficiently. I feel that sometimes, they spend too long on their phones writing notes out of the 30 minutes.
All the staff who visit my mother-in-law are wonderful. She is a difficult personality and they are unfailingly kind, considerate and understanding of her wants and needs. The office staff are also great, keeping us informed and always ready to accommodate any requests.
The caring staff are caring and friendly. They mainly stick to their schedule but when they deviate from it there are always good reasons for doing so and they generally warn us if they expect to be late. The office team are very efficient also and have a 'can do' attitude. Nothing is too much trouble.
When occasionally delayed I usually get a call on my mobile which is good. Only missed this call once which was apparently down to no mobile signal which is a problem around here. Wasn't sure when the bill was going to arrive and 1 visit was cancelled but appeared on the bill. Otherwise excellent for everything.
On the whole, for the time they are allocated, they do well.
My mother seems to get on with all careers that attend to her.
And they seem to know her likes and dislikes.
The biggest area where improvements can be made is being more consistent in the times carers visit.
One Day At A Time have been very supportive and reliable. They visited Mum as part of a rehabilitation programme until she was well enough to do bits on her own. The manager is very helpful and organised and the communication has been very good. The carers are kind and have regular slots for visits. They try to ensure that similar ones visit frequently to ensure consistency. I would recommend them to others.
Mum receives three or four visits a day from regular carers. She says they are all nice. Carers keep me updated as needed especially for a minor concern. Carers provide care service as expected plus do extra jobs to make life easier for the family. Managers keep in touch and are obliging for any changes to care visits needed. Mum always seems happy with the care she receives.
We contacted One Day At A Time further to a short hospital stay. We are very happy with the service provided, from the initial visit to establish Dad’s needs to the final care visit. We won’t hesitate to contact the service if needed in the future.
Dad has been reassured and comfortable at a time when he needs the support.
My father is very happy with the care he is receiving. Everyone is kind, caring and respectful.
I haven’t had too much experience with the carers coming to see Mum, but I have seen them usually on a Saturday afternoon. They have been very friendly towards Mum and also to me. This has been set up to help Mum with certain things she’s finding difficult at 94 years old. However, she will not give in and so far the carers have not had to do what they were employed for, but they have been there and Mum is getting used to them coming in, so eventually there will be a time when Mum accepts the help. We as a family are very grateful that you are coming in to see Mum twice a day and that it doesn’t seem to be an issue that what they are expecting to do is not what is happening at the moment. Thank you for helping, we are very happy with your company.
Highly satisfactory.
Everyone that has come to me are very lovely, well mannered and very caring.
Couldn't ask for more in terms of the care provided for my mum - I feel confident leaving her care in their hands. A friendly team of carers and a responsive manager. When I have been there, they have been very patient in dealing with her and her hearing issues. We have had a few minor issues with communication and it would be better if there was a greater range of hours for carer visits but otherwise, all as I would wish. Would certainly recommend it to others.
I have used this company for several months and am impressed with their continued excellent standard of care.
Good.

"With a career spanning over a quarter-century, my mission has been to redefine care not as a service, but as a profound human connection."
“I believe that exceptional care is only possible when we have the humility to see the world through the eyes of those we support, particularly children with learning disabilities and Autism, who remain my greatest teachers.”
“My philosophy is rooted in ‘Intentional Happiness.’ One Day At A Time. I advocate for a model where we move beyond clinical requirements to curate small, purposeful moments of joy. By celebrating our diversity and recognising our deep interconnectedness, we do more than deliver support- One Body, Many Parts, we cultivate a culture of lasting fulfilment for both the individual and the caregiver.” “Sharing my journey is about empowering the next generation of care professionals. I mentor others to look past the diagnosis and see the person, teaching them that while we are all different, our shared need for belonging is what binds us. This is the beauty of our world, and it is a privilege to champion it every day.”
