We find the service good. We had a few teething problems with carer timings, but this has now been addressed and sorted.
We have never had any problems with the carer who visits our dad and the care they give our dad.
Any queries we have had have been dealt with with a positive outcome.
Overall, we are pleased with the service and will continue to use One Day At A Time daycare.
The carers are friendly and engaging and provide a very caring, reliable and personable service across five visits per day. Their willingness to go the extra mile, usually with a smile on their face, has been a real stand out for both my wife and myself.
Any issues have been dealt with and resolved in a very quick and friendly manner, and I really feel they go the extra mile to make sure that my wife's needs are met as much as possible. I've found all of the staff and management (in particular) very approachable and friendly.
Unable to comment on value for money as the bill is picked up directly by the council, but the service is certainly of a very high standard.
Highly recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this lovely review. We have actually been providing care for your wife since October 2021 (I know, time flies, and it sure seems like yesterday). We are pleased to hear that you and your wife are happy with the service. We look forward to continuing this partnership and working together to help us to improve our service to an even higher standard.
The carers always arrived on time, they provided my mum with excellent service and were happy and friendly. Mum found them understanding and helpful and would have no problems recommending them to others.
Dear Sara, thank you for the feedback on your mum's care. We are pleased to hear that she is happy with the service, and we look forward to continuing working together to improve our service.
All staff and carers have been very helpful and caring. Always cheerful and sociable.
We really appreciate your feedback, thank you. We look forward to continuing to work together to improve our service.
One Day at a Time was incredibly helpful in arranging care at short notice after Mum had a fall. In fact, they were the only agency in the area that offered to review their schedules to find carers, most just said there was no one available. All the carers were cheerful and helpful and treated Mum with compassion and dignity. They provided as much support as necessary while encouraging her to regain confidence and the ability to look after herself again. The agency was flexible in rearranging carers to fit around hospital appointments etc. We had no complaints whatsoever and were very grateful for the support the carers gave. Thank you, team, for all your help looking after my mum.
Thank you for the lovely feedback regarding the care your mum received from us. Though the carers are missing your mum, we are pleased to have assisted in her reablement process and happy that she has now regained her independence.
One Day at a Time have been helping me for about 18 months since becoming mostly bed-bound with mobility and other issues. They come every Monday for a longer visit when I can get a shower and Wednesday/Friday for shorter visits for a good wash and change of clothes. My son takes care of me and my disabled daughter the rest of the time but I really appreciate my care visits. It's a chance to have a chat and sometimes a laugh with a different person. All of the carers that have been here are very polite, respectful and have a good sense of humour. I can honestly say that some of the carers have become good friends. I am more than satisfied with the service and would have no hesitation in recommending One Day at a Time to anyone.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are pleased to know that you are happy with the service. We look forward to continuing working together to make it even better.
My husband has been receiving care from One Day At A Time Home Care since August 2022. I am very pleased with the quality of the care given to him. All carers are kind and cheerful. They have always offered top quality care to my husband and always greet him with a big smile. The carers are friendly, competent and polite. They meet his needs with aptitude and understanding. He looks forward to seeing them. Thank you very much for all your help.
Thank you for your appreciative feedback. We are pleased to hear that we are somehow making a difference.
I have had One Day At A Time Home Care Ltd carers twice a day for six weeks and would thank each and every one of them for their efficient and friendly care. I look forward to their visit and don't mind which lady arrives as they are all very cheerful and always ready to help with any little problem. Above all, I have appreciated they have allowed me to keep my dignity at all times. Thank you for all your help.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We all appreciate you taking the time to tell us about our service.

I've been a client of One Day At A Time Home Care for over a year now, and I am more than satisfied with the service. The staff have been very helpful, and my main carer is first-rate and willing to do anything that is asked of her.
We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the service you are receiving, especially from your main carer. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.
When it has been necessary to call the office, my call has been answered quickly and efficiently.
Thank you for providing us with feedback regarding your mum's care. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the service she is receiving, and we look forward to working together to continue making improvements.
The carers have been engaging with Mum to a point where she see's them as friends. She feels very comfortable with them supporting her on a day to day basis. All aspects of your support has been reassuring family members.
Very satisfied with all aspects of care, only criticism is delay in knowing how much I have to pay, not having a breakdown of the invoice and not knowing whether its the councils fault or the firms fault. Still haven't had an invoice from March onwards.
Becauee of extreme arthritis I was unable to do somethings, with the help of my carer I can do. Like fully get in the bath, get my washing weekly outside in the sun and fresh air, have my sheets, duvet changed regularly.
All carers have done what is asked of them. All very obliging and kind, and give satisfactory service.
Thank you for your kind comments. I'm glad your happy with the service you receive.
Even though I care to look after myself. I do really get a lot of care and interest from the staff and I look forward to their visits twice a day.
The carers are very kind and will help me and do anything I ask. They are all very obliging.
My experience is of the last 4 years. The care has never faltered and is as good today as when it started. First class friendly care team. I can recommend them to anybody.
The staff are always happy they are always ready to help you. The staff are ready to make your life a lot better and they are kind which means a lot to me.

"With a career spanning over a quarter-century, my mission has been to redefine care not as a service, but as a profound human connection."
“I believe that exceptional care is only possible when we have the humility to see the world through the eyes of those we support, particularly children with learning disabilities and Autism, who remain my greatest teachers.”
“My philosophy is rooted in ‘Intentional Happiness.’ One Day At A Time. I advocate for a model where we move beyond clinical requirements to curate small, purposeful moments of joy. By celebrating our diversity and recognising our deep interconnectedness, we do more than deliver support- One Body, Many Parts, we cultivate a culture of lasting fulfilment for both the individual and the caregiver.” “Sharing my journey is about empowering the next generation of care professionals. I mentor others to look past the diagnosis and see the person, teaching them that while we are all different, our shared need for belonging is what binds us. This is the beauty of our world, and it is a privilege to champion it every day.”
