Greenwood Homecare (Grantham)

I joined Greenwood's about 8 months ago. An elderly male with mobility issues due to an earlier stroke I own my own home but began to struggle to live independently without more help.. Finding a solution to this problem proved fruitless at which point I randomly called a provider offering ancillary home care services locally. A senior manager of the company took the call and two visits later- to my own home - a care-plan was conceived and agreed.. That company was Greenwood's. I will never regret that moment. The rest is history. The daily carers assigned to me are a lively bunch - engaging, spirited and professional to the core. Searching for the secret to Greenwood's success I can't help highlighting the policy of using experienced and respected career practitioners to fill the key management and leadership roles within the company. Friendly and approachable I've experienced no difficulties making changes to my visit timings. Thank you Greenwood's.

We approached Greenwoods to provide in home support for my mother. Initially we wanted 1 hour per day, 7 days per week to support mum at lunch time and to prepare a lunchtime meal, and an evening snack. Mum has a degenerative disease.

Initial contact was very reassuring and a representative visited mum at home in my presence to assess mum's needs and environment. All options were discussed and the timeslots we requested were available.

The nominated main carer was sent for training on how to cope with mums specific condition prior to starting work, which we thought was very professional.

Once care started, the main carer was always polite and respectful, and always seemed to have mums interests at heart. She even stayed with mum on one occasion when an ambulance was needed when mum made a mistake with her meds.

Unfortunately this meant we re-evaluated mums care and put her into full time residential care. This was in no was a reflection of GHC, who were excellent throughout

We have been using Greenwood Home Care for approximately 10 months now to help look after my mum. She has 2 visits a day to mostly help with meal prep and general welfare. All the carers Mum has had have been lovely, really kind and keen to do their best for her. She has built up some good relationships with her more regular ladies. Hygiene standards are high and the kitchen is always left clean and tidy. Whenever I have needed to contact the office staff I have always been dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Lady very friendly and good. They are patient and kind.

I can not fault the care my mum has received in the past 3 years and would recommend them to anyone it has been a pleasure to have them come into my home and there politeness and caring ahs been wonderful.

My experience with the Greenwood Homecare service has so far been uniformly positive. The care workers have been cheerful, helpful and fully professional throughout their visits. They have been careful to listen to my needs and willing to go the extra yard to give a complete service. Each carer brings a slightly varied approach, but this is all to the good. My only comment would be that punctuality has been questionable on rare occasions, usually there has been a good reason for this so I would not wish it to be seen as unduly negative. Well done!

Greenwood Home Care have been looking after my mother for several years. The carers are very professional, kind and caring. They are in touch with me if they have any concerns. They do the shopping for her and I am very grateful to the staff and managers knowing that my mothers very well looked after. I would certainly Greenwood Home Care.

Very reliable company. Lovely friendly staff and are extremely caring. It's great that you can visit the office in person and not have to always contact by phone. All the staff are very approachable and always happy to speak about any issues however small. Any concerns from them about Mother-in-law were always dealt with quickly and we were always kept up-to-date. Would definitely recommend Greenwood.

An excellent care company. Very knowledgeable, experienced and professional. The managers are swift to respond to challenges and developments. The carers are kind, hardworking and pay attention to the range of client needs. My aunt was very well looked after and taken care of.

The carers provided good care and some went beyond what was expected of them. Certain management I do feel need to listen more and be a bit more honest and communicate with their staff. Maybe a little less secrecy and realise that people are paying a lot of money for the service and to have a little understanding and empathy of situations which at times are very difficult situations.

It is so reassuring for me personally, I can now sleep at night.

The carers who attended my dad were all very caring, professional and provided excellent care. As a family we were all very happy with the care provided and the patience and attention to detail provided by the carers. I would have no hesitation in recommending Greenwood Homecare.

We contacted Greenwood Homecare when my mum felt that she needed additional support with her daily living routine. This provision enabled her to stay in her own home which she valued so much. The care given was of a very high standard, and my mum once commented to me about how much the carers paid attention to detail with respect to her hygiene needs. The care not only met her physical needs but she also had carers that understood her faith and how important this was to her. I would not have any hesitation in recommending this company to others, for both their professional standards and the empathetic attitudes of the carers who work for this company.

The carers who have been looking after my parents have been wonderful, very kind and have gone above and beyond. My mum has dementia and it was lovely to see how relaxed and happy she felt with them, she loves singing and they joined in with her and made her feel very special. Knowing they were going in each day gave us precious peace of mind. I highly recommend this care agency.

I do not think it is good public relations for the client to have to pay for the extra carer when shadowing takes place. In my case 31/01, 15/02, 26/06, 10/07, 25/07.

An excellent care provider. Greenwood Homecare provided my dad's care between April and October 2022. The service is responsive, caring and extremely flexible. The team work very hard, I would definitely recommend.

All staff are very friendly, helpful and caring. The care assessment was thorough and carried out promptly, in a relaxed, friendly manner. My wife is provided with a rota each week so that she knows who is coming to care for her each day, which we appreciate. If there are changes to the rota, we are told in advance. The carers arrive at the appointed time and the care that she gets is thorough and not rushed. It is lovely chatting with the carers while they are here.

All carers were polite, courteous and professional.

The family is very pleased with the live-in care our father receives from Greenwood Homecare. The carers are experienced and are very attentive to his various ailments, and they work very hard to keep him as comfortable as possible. We also get very good support from the office in negotiating all the complicated parts of the system for help and equipment for our father. We would definitely recommend Greenwood Homecare.

As a family, we have been very happy with the support we have received. All members of the team have been very helpful and supportive throughout. The carers have been friendly, kind and caring. They have given Mum the time and consideration she has needed for her particular needs. She has enjoyed seeing a friendly face in the morning and having someone happy to chat with her at the start of her day.
