I am pleased with the service from the carers. I enjoy them taking me shopping and visiting local places. They also do my cleaning and washing for me, which is a big help for me. I could not do without their help in a morning as they shower and dress me because I can't do it on my own.

Having the Bluebird team in to care for our 90-year-old father (who lives with us) has been a gamechanger for us. From the first visit, we have been really impressed with the care and true interest everyone from Bluebird has for ourselves and Dad. We have been able to have some quality time for ourselves
knowing that dad was being cared for and he really looks forward to their visits.

Very pleased with the care I receive.
Reply from John Keogh, Director at Bluebird Care RochdaleThank you very much for your review. We are a little disappointed to not receive the full score across any of criteria. We only support you at the weekend and Bank Holidays as we are aware we were less expensive than others you had looked at. We would really like to ascertain exactly what more we can do to earn the desired full score and hope we can work with you to achieve that. We are very happy that you have decided to increase the hours that we support you.

Bluebird Care is a relatively new company and are striving to be the best and although I am also new to the care system I have found them excellent. I did not think I would be able to find a company who would be so flexible, amenable and approachable. They are providing my mother with an excellent standard
of care in partnership with myself, which is very important to my mother. The staff are consistent which is a high priority when dealing with dementia clients. The staff and management are professional and dedicated to providing excellence.
Reply from John Keogh at Bluebird Care RochdaleThank you so much for your very kind words. We are delighted to be able to support your mum and listening to what you think is important. It is key to keeping all involved in the decisions made. It is a privilege and delight to support your wonderful mum. We are quite new to the sector, but we hope by listening to customers and other stakeholders that we are able to put the right things in place.

The care and support we have received from Bluebird has been amazing. They have helped us as a family be enabling mum to continue to go to the hairdressers and shopping. I feel comfortable leaving Mum in their capable hands, as I know she is treated with respect and dignity.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Bluebird Care Rochdale is calculated as follows: ( (137 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 137 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Bluebird Care Rochdale is based on 23 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
