The care and support we have received from Bluebird has been amazing. They have helped us as a family be enabling mum to continue to go to the hairdressers and shopping. I feel comfortable leaving Mum in their capable hands, as I know she is treated with respect and dignity.

The carers are very reliable and kind. All the staff in the office are also very helpful.
It is a relief to know someone visits to support mum who turns up on time and are so thorough and helpful.

Beryl Keogh

Beryl has vast experience working within a vulnerable personal environment. She has been working within the Care Sector in the UK since the family returned from overseas in early 2013. Before that, in addition to raising her family, she was primarily employed in children's Education, often within the Special Educational Needs (SEN) specialisation whilst frequently moving as was an expected part of Forces family life (13 different homes in 23 years). Beryl has 2 grown sons, although she still likes nothing more than to mother them whenever they visit. Beryl was born in Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale and grew up in the area and loves being back home, closer to her family and a large network of long-standing and loyal friends. Beryl loves to support people who need it and looks to provide a Premium Service built on excellent training and the enthusiasm and compassion of Quality Staff. She likes to travel, when allowed and watches TV soaps, but only the Northern ones.

John’s journey began in 1990 when he left his parents' home to join the British Army, where he served with distinction for nearly 26 years. Following his military career, he returned to the area in 2015, bringing with him a wealth of experience and skills that he has applied as an accomplished Management Consultant. His background in the armed forces, particularly in leadership and training, has equipped him with a passion for supporting and developing others, especially those who are vulnerable and socially isolated.


John is particularly committed to training, using his enthusiasm to contribute meaningfully to the success of the business. He is genuinely inspired by the compassion and dedication demonstrated by those who work in care, and he channels this admiration into delivering engaging, realistic, and effective training sessions. His goal is to empower carers with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their vital roles.


Having served in numerous theatres across the globe, John is thrilled to be back in his hometown, reconnecting with old schoolmates and reliving fond memories from his youth. He has been deeply touched by the warmth and friendliness of the community since his return and is a proud participant at the local Veterans' breakfast, where he enjoys the camaraderie and support of fellow ex-servicemen.


Though he describes himself as a keen yet mostly retired footballer, John can still be found playing five-a-side matches a few times a week, keeping his passion for the sport alive. In addition to his sporting pursuits, he is a Dementia Friends Champion, dedicated to raising awareness of this increasingly prevalent condition. Through his community involvement and advocacy, John continues to make a difference, both on and off the pitch, and remains committed to supporting those who choose such a meaningful career path in care.

Georgia has been a dedicated member of Bluebird Care Rochdale since 2019. She began her journey as a Care Assistant, a role she absolutely loved, and her warmth and commitment quickly made her a valued part of the team. Over the years, she has had a significant impact on both colleagues and customers, who have always appreciated her kind and compassionate nature.


During her time with Bluebird Care, Georgia went on maternity leave twice. Throughout these periods, the unwavering support of the company never faltered. She fondly recalls the thoughtful baby baskets she received, the fruit basket delivered to her at the start of the pandemic, and the gift voucher for a local restaurant, all of which made her feel genuinely cared for and appreciated. It is this level of kindness and support that makes Bluebird Care Rochdale feel more like a family than just a workplace.

Amie brings with her a background in care she has recently earned a distinction in her Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, which she completed with the support provided by Bluebird Care Rochdale. Her passion for the role shines through in every interaction, driven by her lifelong dedication to caring for others. Even as a child, she was eager to lend a helping hand, once asking her mum if they could help people like the "old man with his shopping." This natural compassion has seamlessly translated into her professional career, where she goes above and beyond to ensure the best possible outcomes for those we support.


Amie firmly believes that a positive, fun atmosphere is crucial in a high-pressure environment like ours, and she's already making strides in keeping everyone smiling.
