My husband needed a short-term care plan whilst I recovered from surgery. I would have no problem in recommending Bluebird Care to anyone. They were very professional, punctual and caring and my husband enjoyed the company.

Bluebird Care were very professional and caring. They came to help us care for our elderly father. His carer was very calm and caring and always patient with Dad. I would recommend them, we have been very pleased with the whole service they provide.

Overall Experience
We started using Bluebird Care Rochdale when my dad became ill and we were unable to provide the care he needed. After an initial assessment, a care plan was arranged to suit our requirements which was perfect for my dad. The carers were amazing, always punctual, professional in their jobs and went above and beyond their job roles. They also formed a friendship with my mum, who is terminally ill, and looked forward to her chats with the carers. An unexpected hospital admission for my dad upset his care routine but we didn't have to worry as we were in regular contact with the amazing, organised management team who were able to adjust his plan and change it to suit Dad on his discharge from hospital. The changes were often requested at short notice from ourselves but nothing was too much trouble for the Bluebird team who handled all our worries and changes with professionalism, care and understanding.

I have nothing but praise for Bluebird Rochdale and all its staff.

Overall Experience

Our family is very grateful to the staff of Bluebird Care who cared for my mother during her final illness. The whole process was caring, efficient and well-organised. An initial assessment was made that generated a care plan, so vital to allowing my mother's wish to stay in her own home. The management staff were empathetic and very knowledgeable, a plan was agreed and care began shortly afterwards. The women and men who cared for my mother were kind and gentle and she really appreciated their efforts. The staff and management were flexible and thoughtful in the face of changing needs. A great company with well-trained and experienced staff.

Thank you to everyone at Bluebird Care Rochdale for the care package arrangements for my mum from October 2022 until January 2024 when she passed away.
Huge thanks to the team of lovely ladies that cared for all Mum's ever-changing needs with care, compassion and professionalism during this time, the bond with Mum and the carers and family and carers was second to none, we couldn't have asked for any better!
The flexible package enabled me to keep a promise I made to Mum that she would stay at home.
During this time, several package changes were made so quickly due to Mum's and family's needs, again we couldn't have asked for anything better than we all received, a credit to the whole of Bluebird Care team in facilitating the services we received.

I wish each and every one of you good health and continued success in what you do, I would 100% recommend this company!

Overall Experience

My experience of Bluebird Care Rochdale could not be better. They provide all aspects of the care needed. If a carer is needed at short notice it is always provided, care is provided in my home, when I can go somewhere e.g. shopping, or leisure. Care at all levels is perfect in my opinion I receive help in every way needed and could not ask for improvement.

I previously contacted this company on behalf of a neighbour who was struggling with her mother's care.

The company themselves were outstanding when explaining what they could deliver, I myself was amazed at how professional but also in great detail how everything was explained yet keeping things to a professional level as this was an enquiry and not personal to myself. As to take things to another level how quick care was provided. How this has changed the outlook of my neighbour's life and to see how happy she is knowing her mother is being taken care of by a trustworthy company with professional staff, office and care based out in the community nothing is too much trouble. She has nothing but excellent praise for this company. I will most definitely be recomeding them to anyone that asks.

I have seen a good improvement in the overall well-being, mood and manner, life and a more positive outlook on life, engages with staff and all concerned to instruct on his needs as they change.

I think that my father-in-law is really settled at home and due to the excellent care, is living to his full potential with his health.

I recently had occasion to contact Bluebird Care Rochdale with an urgent request to increase the care package for two elderly friends. One lady had to attend hospital for emergency hip replacement. To enable the other lady to remain safe at home I contacted Bluebird Care to increase the care package at short notice. I couldn't have had more help from the care coordinator, she pulled out all the stops and along with clearly very willing and caring staff she successfully managed to accommodate as much extra care as possible by juggling rotas and asking for the care team to do extra hours at very short notice, and over a weekend. To say I am grateful is an understatement, Bluebird threw a lifeline to this urgent situation without hesitation. The care coordinator is clearly a caring, organised young lady and both she and the care team are an asset to Bluebird Care Rochdale. She continued to help by organising the client's Pharmacy to supply a medi-dose type system. A big thank you to all at Bluebird.

Kept up to date with relevant notes from the team of carers. Bluebird Care operates a very personal and open-door policy in order that I can discuss any aspect of Mum's care which can change quite quickly. I have been encouraged to open dialogue and provide feedback in order that they can improve services and gain reassurance of the services they provide and that they achieve a high standard. Particularly important as Mum is a new client. Great to know they care and are constantly looking to improve.
A special thank you to the care co-ordinator and the director who have both reassured me and walked me through what to expect and what they are able to provide to support. I have found the care co-ordinator, in particular, to be extremely diligent and conscientious. Both are very professional and caring - traits which are vital in their field.
However, the whole team should be congratulated. Well done.

Overall Experience

My 90-year-old mum is still living independently, thanks to the care of the Bluebird team. Knowing that she has company every day and that she is being looked after in terms of hygiene and feeding, is a great comfort to me as I cannot always be there. The team are very approachable and flexible and will arrange for Mum to go out on visits, whether it's to the clinic or to the shops. The carer's notes are written up after every visit for me to access online and again this is of great comfort. I have recently met with two of the ladies on a visit home and I was delighted with their standard of support, their patience and their ability to put a smile on Mum's face.

Overall Experience

Bluebird Care have provided support for my son for several years now. The service is consistent and to a high standard. Without this support, I would struggle to work. I have never had an issue as the company have been proactive in ensuring that carers not regularly assigned to him have the opportunity to meet him and observe his care routine in order to ensure that his needs can be met should his carer take a holiday or have an illness etc. He has developed super relationships with the carers that regularly visit which obviously gives me peace of mind.

Bluebird Care, Rochdale have been supporting my daughter since November 2020. I cannot fault their care or office staff. From the most junior care assistant to the owners and directors, they make my daughter and I feel as though we are at the centre of their world. The care requirement and number of visits required for my daughter has been reduced as Bluebird Care have always delivered quality and consistency.
I have my own family, but Bluebird Care, Rochdale has been more than that to my daughter and I. We could not ask for more. Whilst my daughter has been the one with the complex needs and the one who is their customer, they have always treated me with complete respect and dignity too and I cannot speak highly enough of the company. We have experienced other care companies previously and none can come close to the communication and flexibility that Bluebird Care, Rochdale have.

They show the way that care should be delivered.

Bluebird Care Rochdale have been there for my parents during the past few years as my dad's health deteriorated. All the team who attend my dad are friendly, helpful and willing to help out with anything that's needed and have made this difficult time more pleasant, giving my dad and mum a structure in their day, and giving my dad the dignity he needs to continue living at home. I've met quite a few of the team at my parents' and they are all friendly, caring and lovely people. I've recommended them to friends too. Thank you Bluebird.

My Dad has been receiving home care visits from Bluebird Care Rochdale now for the last 8 weeks. As a stickler for good customer service, I felt compelled to write a review as I am unable to fault any of the staff or management at this company. From the initial telephone call through to the assessment conducted and the ongoing care of my dad, everything has been handled with such efficiency, professionalism and when appropriate, a sense of humour. There is a definite sense of teamwork between management, office staff and the carers which is particularly reassuring when you are leaving someone you love in their care. The fact I can login to the app and have instant information on that day's visit gives me peace of mind. The entire team deserve to be commended for the understanding, patience and prompt response they consistently display. I have already recommended them to someone else who is caring for an elderly relative. To all at Bluebird - Well done and thank you so much!

Your Bluebird staff were engaged to assist my wife to help her dress and attend to her needs after breaking her ankle. She had been dependent on me previously to do this. Unfortunately, I had an emergency cancer operation at the New Year which meant I was unable to take care of her.
Your staff have been unfailingly capable, courteous and cheerful whilst carrying out their duties. If this opportunity to praise them had not been available online I had intended writing to you singing their praises.
You requested that individuals were not named. I agree with you as it would have been impossible to separate them so it would have been unfair.
Both my wife and I have now recovered sufficiently to take care of ourselves and being independently minded wish to do so.

We will both miss their cheerful presence and would like to thank them for cheering us up, a very important factor which helped our recovery.

Beryl Keogh

Beryl has vast experience working within a vulnerable personal environment. She has been working within the Care Sector in the UK since the family returned from overseas in early 2013. Before that, in addition to raising her family, she was primarily employed in children's Education, often within the Special Educational Needs (SEN) specialisation whilst frequently moving as was an expected part of Forces family life (13 different homes in 23 years). Beryl has 2 grown sons, although she still likes nothing more than to mother them whenever they visit. Beryl was born in Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale and grew up in the area and loves being back home, closer to her family and a large network of long-standing and loyal friends. Beryl loves to support people who need it and looks to provide a Premium Service built on excellent training and the enthusiasm and compassion of Quality Staff. She likes to travel, when allowed and watches TV soaps, but only the Northern ones.

John’s journey began in 1990 when he left his parents' home to join the British Army, where he served with distinction for nearly 26 years. He returned to the area in 2015, bringing with him a wealth of experience and skills that he has applied as an accomplished Management Consultant. His background in the armed forces, particularly in leadership and training, has equipped him with a passion for supporting and developing others, especially those who are vulnerable and socially isolated.

John is particularly committed to training, using his enthusiasm to contribute meaningfully to the success of the business. He is genuinely inspired by the compassion and dedication demonstrated by those who work in care, and he channels this admiration into delivering engaging, realistic, and effective training sessions. His goal is to empower carers with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their vital roles.

Having served in numerous places across the globe, John is thrilled to be back home, reconnecting with old schoolmates and reliving fond memories from his youth. He has been deeply touched by the warmth and friendliness of the community since his return and is a proud participant at the local Veterans' breakfast, where he enjoys the camaraderie and support of fellow ex-servicemen.

Though he describes himself as a keen yet mostly retired footballer, John can still be found playing five-a-side matches a few times a week, keeping his passion for the sport alive. In addition to his sporting pursuits, he is a Dementia Friends Champion, dedicated to raising awareness of this increasingly prevalent condition. Through his community involvement and advocacy, John continues to make a difference, both on and off the pitch, and remains committed to supporting those who choose such a meaningful career path in care.

Dawn joined our team as a Care Assistant in 2022, bringing with her a wealth of hands-on experience in care, becoming a senior care assistant quite quickly due to her can-do attitude and eye for providing a solution to the many challenges the role can present.
