I've been so impressed with Home Instead Walsall/Great Barr. They're a great team and I genuinely wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Like many families, our independent but increasingly vulnerable mum did not want "people coming into her house" but we persuaded her that she would enjoy the company and she really has. We recently introduced evening visits, which she welcomed without a murmur of resistance. Home Instead check she's had her medication and that food is in date, that her pendant alarm is charged and she has her next meal planned. They go for a walk with her, chat or play games. On good days they make her laugh but they also reassure her when she's not feeling well. They write a little report after each visit, which is invaluable for us, for peace of mind but it also helps us know what to ask mum about. Home Instead did say she wouldn't be without them after a few months and it's definitely the case. They allow mum to be her best self and retain the independence she fiercely guards. We are immensely grateful for all their support at a challenging time.

I cannot recommend Home Instead enough, the care and consideration they have show not only for my mom's needs but also for me has been outstanding. Whenever I have questions or concerns they respond immediately and nothing is too much. Lisa and Kelly have been consistently kind, supportive and understanding. I have been using their services for nearly 2 years to support my mom and I couldn't ask for a more dedicated team.

I was recommended Home Instead by a colleague from work who used them for both her mom and mother in law. I must admit to allow strangers to care for an elderly relative made me very anxious. From the initial enquiry to the home visit the team make you feel very at ease nothing is too much trouble. The ladies that care for my mom feel like extended family, they really are good at matching the client to the right carer. The app is wonderful. On a recent short break away, the ladies were able to keep me informed sending me photos and updates, to reassure me my mom was in good hands. Honestly I don't know what I would do without them. They even run a coffee club once a week which I personally have attended it was Brilliant, coffee cake & singing what more could you ask for !!

Overall I wiuld not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing help at home. .

If mum ever comes home I shall use Home Instead again and would have no hesitation recommending.

The carer was a lovely lady and got on massively with my wife - and they had a great time together but equally as important the carer was super professional in her carer duties, she looked after my wife superbly and did all of the household duties

Mom responds well to a number of the carers but can be resistant to others. It would be worthwhile exploring the reasons for the differences and identifying any learning points and/or training opportunities.

Excellent level of care given. Everyone is so committed to providing the best possible care and they are all encouraging and supporting people. Such kindness is shown. They treat my mother-in-law like a family member.

who provided whatever care I needed following an accident and also cared for my husband who has dementia. They matched a lovely very friendly caring person with the same interests as my husband which has helped enormously in her befriending role.

Mom now visits the dementia club run by home instead and this has become one of her highlights once a fortnight.

So I’d ask that she has these carers all the time. I know that this might not always be possible but would ask that this is the exception rather than the rule.

Mom has been having two carer's visit from Home Instead (Walsall & Great Barr) each week for a couple of months. My family and I couldn't praise the individuals or the company highly enough. They have made my Mom's and our lives so much easier and fulfilled. The time, thought and care put in each week with Mom is phenomenal. They have really added value to our family. Absolutely outstanding!

Home Instead has provided us as a family with the peace of mind we were anxious for regarding Mum's medication and general care needs. Everything we have asked for/requested since the care started has been dealt with efficiently, and all the staff have been very helpful and supportive. Thank you to all!

Communication is excellent, and the girls are always helpful at the office and when on call.

From initial contact and setting up of a care plan for my wife as well as tweaking to fit with our family needs and my wife's preferences, I made the right choice in Home Instead, flexible, understanding, always a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, hard-working and empathy for their clients is just a few praises I can provide as a way of thank you.
