Overall Experience

Flexible and supportive. I wouldn't be able to cope without them. Staff are always friendly and treat Dad well. He always looks forward to seeing them. I know he is well cared for if I have to travel or go away.

Overall Experience

All the staff were very friendly and efficient. Care was put in place at very short notice. My mom and dad's primary carer was kind, thoughtful, thorough and a genuinely lovely lady. We would definitely use them again.

Overall Experience

My family and I have been so appreciative and impressed with the service my mother received from Home Instead. It has provided my mother with companionship and the ability to get out of the house for local walks and generally enjoy life more when her children live some distance away. The team also escorted her to medical appointments and food shopping trips. On first hearing about the organisation, she was a little unsure but from the moment she met the first member of the team she enjoyed and looked forward to the visits and formed a close bond with her new companions who became a lifeline for her and us, particularly in Covid lockdown. The team understood my mother's dementia and treated her with respect and kindness and always went the extra mile. If we had any queries or extra requests they were always at the end of the phone. I would highly recommend the organisation to anyone.

Overall Experience

We used Home Instead from May 2020 - not only did they come out during lockdown but were very professional and helpful. My 88 year old Dad was main carer for Mom with progressive dementia - so very difficult once day centres and everything else closed during the onset of covid. Home Instead were a lifeline and the main carer was brilliant with Mom, couldn't have been more caring, professional, and reliable. Thank you for all you have done and for your eternal patience.

Overall Experience

Carer arrives on time and takes care of my personal needs ie, showering, dressing, makes the bed, including changing bedding when necessary. Gives breakfast and coffee. All provided in a friendly and happy manner.

Home Instead we're amazing. Very professional, informative and caring.
Carers were patient when caring for my father-in-law and took his dignity into consideration.
He had a great relationship with his carers and looked forward to their visits which was reassuring for the family.

We have been using Home Instead (Walsall & Great Barr) care for a month now to help with my dad's care. The staff are always very friendly but sometimes it can feel like they are taking over and not asking first but overall a very good service.

We had a few teething problems for the first few days, but once the issues had been brought to attention, everything was perfect.
Nothing is too much trouble. Mom's carer was even there to mop up after a problem with a leaking toilet, and water coming through the kitchen ceiling.

My mother isn't the easiest person to care for, but Home Instead has made the transition smooth, and most of all, friendly. Mom was adamant she didn't need care but now accepts it willingly.

Cannot fault the care given to my mom. Particularly two carers. They have been amazing.
They have helped mom build confidence and have a better quality of life.

Overall Experience

We needed to arrange a care package for my mum who has vascular dementia. The initial consultation leading to 2 visits a day was always on time and professional often going above and beyond. The caregivers were always friendly and caring. We did encounter a few problems however these were dealt with easily. Would recommend however their services are very expensive.

Overall Experience

I had to arrange some care initially for one hour a day to prepare meals etc. This was all sorted out and put into place at very short notice. All staff involved were professional and absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond my expectations to meet the needs of the client. They were professional in the extreme and kept me informed throughout. The care had to be increased unexpectedly due to the client having a fall and this again was implemented immediately without any issues to three calls a day. This was all done over the Christmas and New Year period.

Overall Experience
The care manager brought two carers to meet my aunty and me. The manager had worked as a care assistant as well as nursing a member of their family, and so their knowledge of what was needed was very good. As well as being efficient, they were very nice too. The two carers are great and get on very well with my aunty. My aunties life has been enriched by the carers, and she really enjoys their company.
So far, the level of care has been very good.

I’m so glad I found them.

The carer has been visiting my parents for three months now focussing on my 92-year-old dad who has vascular dementia.

The effect she has had on him has been dramatic. Giving him fun laughing sessions he always looks forward to whilst allowing respite for my 90-year-old mum. We cannot explain how pleased we are with the care my parents are receiving.

Overall Experience

We needed to establish permanent care for a parent quickly when their primary carer became long term sick. Home Instead Walsall showed genuine care, compassion and fully understood our needs finding a suitable carer quickly and efficiently. The routine the carer follows is fully sensitive to the needs of the person being cared for and established in detail such that, when the regular carer was unable to attend, a replacement carer attended and seamlessly provided the same level of support. Throughout all of our contact with the company, they have been genuine, compassionate, flexible and very efficient. Their staff are suitably trained, kind, gentle and sensitive to the daily needs of the person they are caring for, showing flexibility whilst ensuring all tasks are completed and socially engaging with them. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Home Instead Walsall to anyone looking for care at home.

Overall Experience

We decided to use home Instead Senior Care having seen their advert on TV. An agreed care package was arranged which was suitable for our mother's needs. They were able to offer immediate care. Later it became necessary to arrange an evening visit also. The carer who attended to our mother was extremely caring and understanding. We were very impressed with the quality of care and attention given and would not hesitate to highly recommend the company.

Overall Experience

This company has been able to meet most of my needs. When there have been any problems, they have always tried their best to sort things out to help me. I have found the carers and the managers and senior staff to be extremely friendly and caring. The one thing they do need is a little training or help on the medical side eg catheter care.
