Right at Home (Oxford)

I live alone and I am a long standing client with this company, now 5 years. My care provided has always been completely professional; whilst at the same time enabling a friendship to grow within the team of carers. The management side has always bent over backwards to support any difficult times and needs, At least twice a year I require some overnight care following hospital procedures I have performed as a day patient. Right at Home has always managed to provide that extra support again with both dedication and professionalism. Right at Home give a very high rate of care for their fees and are worth every penny! I put my entire trust in the whole team from Management down to their office support and carers.

My father and stepmother have been very happy with the help they receive from Right At Home's carers for two years and ongoing. From our very first contact, I have really appreciated the management and admin team, who continue to be extremely helpful and understanding, even when juggling the occasional difficult last-minute request. There's been a bit of turnover among some of the carers (as well as good continuity with others), but my father has often commented on how kind they all have been. I would definitely recommend Right At Home to anyone looking for at home care in Oxford.

We looked at CQC ratings before deciding on a company and found Right at Home, who had a rating of Excellent, so we decided to try them and have been very pleased we did.

I was impressed that they took time to come and meet us before we agreed to accept care from them.

The staff have been more than willing to help me too, with shopping if needed, washing ,laundry, loading the dishwasher and carrying heavy items that I couldn't.

RAH have been providing care, four times a day, for my friend for several years, enabling her to remain living at home, with as much independence as possible. I have been particularly impressed by their willingness to co-operate with other professionals involved in her care, for example working with Occupational Therapists to ensure procedures and equipment are 'right' for her, and safe for everyone. There have been several emergency hospital admissions during this time, and RAH have gone the extra mile in liaising with me, and with hospital staff, and timing care visits to coincide with arrival back home. They have shown patience and compassion at times of distress or sadness, and are prompt to address any concerns raised.

I needed a Carer overnight after a procedure at Hospital which involved a general anesthetic and needed overnight care. I had no relatives close by to be with me so I used RAH Oxford, they were extremely helpful especially as they had very short notice of my needs. It was the first time using a carer and was a great experience. Thank you.

My mother received care from RAH for a period of just over 18 months. This was just once a day at the start and progressed to more intensive care whilst she had a UTI. My mother felt very cared for and supported - there were occasional handover issues towards the end but in the main, everything worked very well. As importantly, I also had peace of mind that my mother was in good hands which allowed me to continue working.

Right at Home, Oxford, is a well run organisation that I fully recommend.

As we have got to know each other better Right at Home have become like family taking an interest in daily life and how they can help to improve safety and comfort in our own home.

My husband says they are very receptive to what he likes and try to make it as easy as possible for him.

Right At Home (Oxford) have been helping to support my parents for over 2 years now. They come promptly at times we have requested. And even more importantly they have been flexible and adaptable when my parents have had health issues. Last year particularly my sisters and I were so grateful for their support when my Dad had a series of falls. The co-ordinators have been amazing, and the care my parents have received from RAH has been proactive, and very professional throughout. Great service from everybody, all round!

Wonderful support from the whole team from the beginning of pastoral and nursing care at home right to the end. Everybody so kind and thoughtful throughout some challenging times. Very quick to respond to changes in care schedules, and to keep me informed of any concerns. Living at a distance we were reassured by them keeping a close eye and being proactive when issues arose. We were very grateful for all their help.

My sister and I would like to thank the Right at Home team for all the help over the last few years. It was very important for Dad that he could stay in his own home. That would not have been possible without the superb care and support provided by Right at Home. It far exceeded our expectations and we will forever be grateful.

Great service from the whole team (many different aspects to the service, from administration to tracking of the tasks done, to direct carer contact) for all routine daily care needs for early and mid-stage Alzheimer's.

I want to praise the wonderful care and positive proactive support we have received especially from the care coordinators over the last few weeks. My dad has been in hospital and so we had to make a number of changes to the care patterns, including contact with Right at Home at weekends. Right at Home has been brilliant! Their communication has been clear and prompt and they have been friendly, kind and very helpful throughout. We're still in the early days and navigating Dad's change from independence to needing help is not uncomplicated, but I feel I can trust the lovely RAH team to ease the transition and treat Dad like a human being rather than a problem. Absolutely wonderful service. We used them for daily care for my mum who has dementia and also for my dad who was receiving palliative care at home. We were able to tap into the night cover to help him with personal care so that family members could sleep. All the carers, manager and care coordinator have been outstanding in their care and compassion. Thank you from my heart.
