Overall Experience

Radfield Home Care has attended to Mum twice a day for the past 11 months. A small group of ladies look after Mum with great care and patience; they are cheerful, thorough and extremely thoughtful. The ladies cover a wide range of tasks that help Mum feel very well supported, safe and comfortable. They maintain a good nutritional balance in her meals and are rigorous with the meds. Mum looks forward to the Radfield visits and their reports are detailed and very important to us. Staff reviews of trends and changes have led to proactive suggestions that have, and will improve Mum's wellbeing. We find the home care provided to be excellent and would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Radfield Home Care Derby, Ashbourne & South Derbyshire came to our rescue at very short notice after Mum fell poorly. Mum likes all the carers, and with a small rotation of 4 staff looking after Mum, she does not get confused, and the carers have got to know her requirements and likes and dislikes very well.
The care coordinator has initiated any changes to Mum's care as soon as we have asked.

I cannot thank the team enough for all their help and would recommend Radfield Home Care Derby, Ashbourne & South Derbyshire, without reservation.

Overall Experience
We engaged the service of Radfield Home Care in Sumner last year for our dad who has Alzheimer's. All the care providers assigned to work with Dad have been excellent with him, patient, friendly and understanding ensuring he has eaten and taken his meds. They do daily activities with him such as going for a walk, playing dominoes or just watching a film or the TV if that's what he wants. They've all taken the time to learn what he likes and dislikes.

As time has gone on changing Dad's care package to meet his needs has been simple - just a call to the office and a chat with the care coordinator. All staff have been amazing. As a family, we would recommend the service of Radfield Home Care.

Overall Experience
Excellent care provided, all staff were really caring and friendly and went out of their way to look after my mum, she loved being cared for by all of them who went out of their way to make her feel special when required and gave her the boost she needed on some occasions.

Staff, although extremely friendly and courteous, were also very professional and respectful and I cannot fault them in any way.

I am very happy with my carers from Radfield. I like the fact I only have three carers that come to me, so I know them all well, and they know my routines very well. I look forward to chatting with them. They are a great help to me, and that helps my daughter.

Overall Experience

The carer looks after my mother and has forged a lovely relationship with her. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for the carer. The carer always keeps us informed if she is likely to be delayed at all and gives us feedback as to how our mum is when she visits.

Overall Experience

It was really difficult to persuade my parents to accept the outside support they really need. Then we were blessed to have a carer come into our lives. She is a caring professional lady who cares for my parents and they absolutely adore her, and so do we. She has made a massive difference to the family. Enabling us to continue with our own day jobs knowing and trusting Mum and Dad could not be in any better hands. We would be lost without her. The carer is the reason I have given 5 stars.

Overall Experience

The care that was received from Radfield's Homecare was excellent. All the staff were very pleasant, friendly and dedicated to their client. It has been hard on occasions for them to attend as we are quite remote, but they have always made that extra effort, even through snow and ice. I would, and have, recommended Radfields Home Care to others.

Overall Experience

My mum has Vascular Dementia, and Dad at 91, is getting frail. The support from Radfield has enabled them to keep safe and happy in their own home. The majority of the carers are excellent, but their main carer is exceptional. She has such a good rapport with Mum and always leaves Mum looking a 'million dollars'. She has a natural ease with Mum, and it is a pleasure to hear them laughing and having fun together. Everywhere is always left clean and tidy, and she always goes the extra mile to make sure that they're safe and well.

Overall Experience

We are happy with all the carers at Radfield Derby who help support my mum at home, but one, in particular, has spent time building a trusted relationship with her. She has been a godsend, she cares for my mum with dignity and respect. My mum was a nurse, and although she has dementia, she knows what and who she likes and how it should be done. The carer meets her standards beautifully.

Overall Experience

We have been fortunate to use Radfield Care for 18-months now. The continuity of care has been amazing and makes a massive difference to all our lives as we know Mum’s carers well, and they know her needs very well. The care given is of a really high standard, and carers really take the time to learn how my mother likes things done. They ensure she does her physio exercises and encourage her. The office staff are equally helpful and reply promptly to any queries we have. All In all, we are very pleased with the service we receive from Radfield, and I don’t know what I would do without them. Thank you.

The carer had become very much part of our family caring for my mother. She gets Mum up in the morning with a smile on her face. Mum always looks great when the carer has got her up and dressed in the morning. She is a real tonic to my mum.

Overall a good experience with this company. Never really had any problems. The odd time staff had not turned up but this was through no fault of their own. Always try to help and sort out any problems that may arise.

I found the local Radfield care group were a pleasant, approachable and friendly group to do business with. The main carer assigned to my mother was absolutely fantastic, a thorough and diligent individual who spent time understanding what my mother needed and treated her with patience and respect. I would recommend Radfield Homecare to others.

Overall Experience
We have been using Radfield's services for about five months, two visits a day, to support my elderly parents in their own home. They have been able to provide the main carer, with a small number of additional carers to cover days off/holiday/sick days. This has been absolutely key in the support of my parents, one of whom has dementia, the other having very poor mobility (they are both around 90). The main carer has been exemplary and goes above and beyond anything I would have expected.
Carers keep very detailed records of each visit, which I am able to see.

My only quibble would be with the admin side of things, for example, accuracy of invoicing. However, when I have found mistakes, these have been quickly resolved. It can be hard to get hold of people by phone, emailing is good. I've also had to support new carers to go through the care plan with them, and this may partly be because there are two people to look after. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Radfield Derby.

We're very grateful to Radfield for their responsiveness in stepping in to provide support for our mum at short notice. Mum has always been very independent so accepting help wasn't easy for her. When we had our initial visit mum and I felt reassured and confident that this was the right option for her. Mum's situation has improved thanks to the Radfield care team - she trusts and likes her carers. They are helping her to regain her independence and I feel confident that we can get the right level of care for her as her circumstances change. Communication is excellent and we feel able to contact them, even about the smallest thing.

From the moment I met the manager and the staff I knew this agency was going to provide the best support to my Dad, Mum and Dad also felt the same. To say Dad’s discharge home was complicated is an understatement but the staff provided more advice and support than I could ever have expected. Their flexibility and ability to deal with last-minute changes was second to none and they never made it feel like it was a problem. Unfortunately, Dad only received their support for a week as it was deemed he required further rehabilitation to be able to stay at home. Most of my contact was with one staff member who always made me feel she only wanted the best for Dad and Mum too, she is definitely an asset to the company. I really hope Dad is able to try living at home again and we will definitely choose Radfield for the care. Many thanks from Dad and all the family.

We only needed the service for a short period of time. Very efficient and friendly induction and assessment. Same carer each visit, very prompt, caring and with a sense of humour! Would highly recommend it.

Overall Experience

The lady who helps my sister and I look after our mother which enables her to stay in her own home is excellent, helpful and caring. She is both reliable and will do all sorts of little jobs around mum's home which keep mum clean, warm and cared for. Initially, we had some issues with billing, but since Christmas 2020 and going over to direct debit, we have had no problems.

What is your background prior to joining Radfield?

I spent 10+ Years working for Derby County Community Trust with the mission of using the power of Derby County Football Club to improve lives and communities through sport, physical activity, health, and education. Throughout my role, I would forge strong relationships with a number of stakeholders, which in turn would help support & benefit the people of Derby.

How has your background prepared you for your new role at RHC?

My background has given me the passion to want to help and support the communities within Derby in whichever way I can. It has enabled me to have strong ties with local organisations and enables me to connect with people to promote health and wellbeing.

What has inspired you to want to be involved in the adult social care sector?

To be able to make a difference within my community and to support those people who need it most, and to help enrich the lives of the elderly people in Derby.

How do you feel your role and your experience will benefit Radfield’s clients?

My ability to network and create relationships with the people of Derby will help even more people know about the amazing work that Radfield Home Care are doing and, in turn, help them benefit from the premium services we provide.
