I contacted Radfield just prior to Christmas to see if they could help with the day-to-day care of my mum, who has the early stages of dementia. Two ladies met with us (me and mum) and proved to be friendly and knowledgeable: they truly understood my mum's condition and the care she needed. A week into the new care programme, the change in my mum was noticeable. She was happy and cared for, having previously been very withdrawn, with a dedicated carer seeing her morning and evening who has been wonderful, exceeding all of our expectations. Above all, the one lady cares for my mum as if she is her own family, it's heartwarming to see, and my mum absolutely adores seeing her. Radfield also has an amazing app which provides families with a log of the visit. I would not hesitate to recommend the manager and her team; they truly want to provide the best care possible.
Thank you Jo, for your kinds words. We are very proud of our team and will always go above and beyond. We truly believe that having a dedicated carer makes such a huge difference to our clients, especially those with dementia as they build up a great relationship and we are able to know if your Mum...
Radfield carers have changed my life. I no longer worry 24-hours a day about my father who is suffering from dementia and lives alone. It fills me with confidence (and makes me smile) when I read the logs left by the carers on the app. The carers have my fathers best interests at heart and treat him with respect and tenderness, which is lovely to watch/hear if I happen to be there at the time. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they flag any issues. Thank you for providing such a great service; keep it up.
We pride ourselves on looking after every single one of our clients as though they were our own family member and of course, that means keeping in constant contact with the family as well. Many thanks.
All the team have provided the most wonderful care of my mother. Always on time, always cheerful, always undertaking every task with respect and dignity. A reassuring and comforting presence for my mother and for the rest of the family too.
Thank you, Moira, for your kind review. Your mother was a total delight to look after and we are so glad that we were able to make her last few weeks as comfortable as we possibly could, in her own home, with you all. We all miss your Mum. We wish you and the family, all the very best for the future. Many thanks.
The care was excellent, and all the staff were wonderful. I cannot find any fault at all. Well done.
Thank you Joy for your kind review. It was a total pleasure and honour to care for your husband in his final weeks. We pride ourselves on not only looking after our clients but also their relations. We wish you all the very best for the future. Thanks again.
Having been in the care industry for over 13 years myself, I have a high expectation on what providing quality care should look like. After a lot of research to find an agency for my grandfather, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, Radfield was who we turned to. They have not been disappointed! They truly care and provide a person-centred approach. They are genuine and strive to ensure that their clients are well cared for. Not everything has gone swimmingly but Radfield acted on any concerns immediately and reassured us through the entire process. I rate them highly and thank them for all of the support they provide to my grandparents. They provide me with reassurance when I can’t be there and I know that my family are in good hands, especially as I am kept updated on all of the care visits, needs and concerns.
Alzheimer's is such a cruel disease, and we know how much it affects not just your grandfather but the entire family. We are here for all of you, and we are glad that you are feeling that additional support.
Thank you again.
Carers were excellent on the whole, very friendly. Unfortunately, they did not seem to cope well when my husband, who has fairly advanced Alzheimer's dementia, had episodes of bad language and rudeness towards them.
It was a privilege to care for your husband in what was clearly difficult and sometimes distressing time for you all. Alzheimer's is a particularly cruel and unrelenting disease, and we realise the period in question would have been particularly hard on...
My father has mentioned how happy he is with the care given to him. I have noticed an obvious improvement in his health since the care began.
Thank you ever so much for your review. We are all totally thrilled in the transformation to the man he is today, full of life, wanting to get up, dressed and even go and do his own food shopping and clothes washing. We also very much enjoy the ballroom dancing lessons he gives us. Thanks again for taking the time to pass on your comments.
Having been resistant to accepting care for my mum, the manager very quickly put me at ease and rightly said that I should be spending quality time with mum rather than having to spend time doing jobs. Very quickly we increased the care from once to twice a day to maximise the quality of care rather than the “pop in for a few minutes and leave food” for an Alzheimer’s sufferer who requires care, support and gentle encouragement to eat. One particular staff member, along with others has been incredible with mum. Nothing is too much trouble and she has certainly had some challenges to deal with! I cannot speak highly enough and wish that I had not been so stubborn and accepted the incredible support that they offer. Knowing that mum is getting the care that she needs and more importantly deserves in her later life is so welcome especially with working away for days each week. I cannot thank the team enough and will always be indebted!
We are honoured that you have let us look after your Mum. She is a wonderful lady. Thanks again.
If I had picked the staff myself I couldn't have done better. My wife could not have received better treatment. The staff are competent, cheerful, pleasant and could not be more cooperative. Timekeeping of visits has always been to the minute. I have no doubts at all that I could not have found a better and more suitable care organisation. We are both completely satisfied and the staff visits are a pleasure.
Thank you so much for the review. You know how much it means to us. We take great pride in picking the best staff and ensuring that they not only do the day to day job but they go over and above to ensure the exceptional service that you and we expect.
Very good service all round, I have absolutely no complaints. First-class service. My relatives like carers. Would recommend 100%. The company go the extra mile.
Thank you for your kind review. Your relatives have certainly got a large space in our hearts and they are very much part of our Radfield Family.
Having broken my ankle and in a non-walking cast and needing a care plan, I was recommended to Radfield Home Care Derby. The moment I spoke to the manager I just knew that they were perfect and how right I was. I was assigned one carer, very comforting, whom I cannot praise enough. Nothing is too much trouble to go above and beyond her normal duties. Living on my own, she cheers my days up.
We are glad that you are part of our Radfield family.
My carer makes me home-cooked food. I love gravy and he makes it the way I like it. He makes me laugh and he is very funny. Thank you for supporting me to have a hot meal.
Thank you so much for your review. We know you've found it difficult getting the care that you require and we are very glad that we are able to meet your needs, especially the gravy making! We love having you as part of the Radfield family.
