I have been using Castrian Group Ltd for mum's care for the last seven weeks. Very professional care company with a strong lead from the manager. From day one, communication has been excellent. I am able to ring through with any concerns about Mum and this is in turn communicated to the team of girls immediately. All staff are uniformed, very friendly and nothing is a bother. It is obvious that they treat each client as an individual, slowly getting to know them in a respectful manner. Mum is very wary of anyone new but has embraced the visits from the team and that speaks volumes.

The service has been excellent from the start and they are very easy to contact if I need to confirm or change anything. The managers often let me know of anything they think I should know or they want to check. She likes the girls going in and that they are the same ones; there is good continuity of care. She also does exercises for her legs that the physio had given us with the carers every day, which is good considering the Covid situation and isolation in the home. I work full time and it is a huge load off me to know I can rely on them to be conscious, and consistent in their care.

Overall Experience

Both Dad and myself were extremely happy with the care he received from the team at Castrian. From the first visit with the management team, we knew it was the right organisation for us as a family. Dad was very confident and comfortable even from that visit. The management team came into his home initially with the carers to introduce and work through the tasks required by Dad which is such good practice, and everything went smoothly from there. They're a small team which was good for Dad as he had the same carers which builds up both a relationship and confidence. The team also spend time to chat as they are going about their duties which my Dad appreciated enormously. The communication is excellent, nothing too much trouble, they are happy to change in line with your needs. I cannot give enough praise, I would highly recommend this team to anyone thinking about home care.

JohnJasper have provided my mum's home care for the past 11 months and have been excellent throughout. The carers have all been friendly, reliable and helpful and the management team has been approachable, hands-on and first class in so many ways. My mum's safety and comfort have always been JohnJasper's top priorities and they have truly gone the extra mile when needed, particularly during my mum's 2 recent admissions to hospital. As I live 200 miles away and haven't been able to visit my mum since last March due to Covid restrictions, it has been hugely reassuring to know that my mum has been in safe, caring and reliable hands. I cannot thank JohnJasper enough and I recommend them unreservedly.

Care provider was chosen as Mum needed more care and the current provider could not accommodate. This is the third case provider we have used. Definitely the best one. I am a nurse, however, not familiar with the current home care system. Positive points:- well-led, good communication, helpful, client-focused, safe. Good record keeping. Continuity with staff, work hard. Feel like the staff are part of my family and really care about my mum.

All staff very polite. I am very happy with the care and support which I receive from Castrian. They are very helpful. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who wished for support. They always have the time to find out how your day went because at times these are the only people you see in the course of a day which is a very comforting feeling. I always feel that they have time to listen to me and that in itself is a great feeling.

Overall Experience

The Castrian team used to care for my mother-in-law in the family home. My parents-in-law were very cautious about this at first and were not really keen on the idea of having any carers in their home at all - at first. From the initial visits by the management team to the support offered, everything was explained in a professional and caring manner. All tasks were carried out impeccably and with great care, dignity and consideration. Any concerns and suggestions from the team were always passed on to the family after consultation with my in-laws. The team were very proactive in their approach. My mother and father-in-law came to look forward to their visits and welcomed the team into their home. We as a family, would highly recommend Castrian to any other families who are looking for support for their relatives in the home. We will never forget the help and support we received. Thank you.

I can’t say enough about JohnJasper Care, they have been absolutely fantastic both prior to, and particularly during, the Coronavirus pandemic during which time I have been in lockdown in South West Wales unable to visit my 88-year-old mum who suffers from dementia. She lives independently and they have gone above and beyond to support her to continue to live independently. They keep me updated particularly when I need to get involved. They are caring and keep a sense of humour, they are ensuring that she has food, takes her medication, washes and the house is clean. I really can’t recommend them more highly.

Throughout her career, Kennedy has worked across a wide range of care settings, including home care, complex care for both adults and children, palliative support, reablement, and services for children with learning disabilities. Victoria Butterfield Job Title: Care Co-ordinator & Training Lead Joined: 2023
Victoria Butterfield

If there’s anyone who truly understands what it means to grow into a role with heart, it’s Victoria! Before joining the world of care, Victoria spent an impressive 10 years at Sainsbury’s, climbing the ladder from Customer Service Assistant to Store Manager. But it was a deeply personal experience—caring for a close relative during their final days—that opened her heart to a new calling.

That moment of clarity led her to us at JohnJasper, and we couldn’t be more grateful! It didn’t take long for Victoria to shine. Within just six months, she stepped up as Field Care Supervisor, and another six months later, she took on her current role as our dedicated Care Co-ordinator.

Victoria brings warmth, empathy, and a brilliant sense of organisation to everything she does. Whether she's scheduling visits or supporting our care team, she makes sure every client is treated with the kindness and dignity they deserve.

When she’s not orchestrating top-notch care services, you’ll find her enjoying the simple joys of life—camping, taking long walks, and embracing the great outdoors with her family and their beloved dog.

We’re proud to have Victoria as part of the JohnJasper family, and we know our clients feel the same.

Mark Smith Job Title: Field Care Supervisor Joined: 2023
Mark Smith

Say hello to our wonderful Field Care Supervisor, who swapped spreadsheets for support visits—and hasn’t looked back since!

Formerly a Bank Manager at Barclays, he made the bold and beautiful leap into care over 13 years ago. Why? Because, in his own words, “helping people in a meaningful way is the most life-changing kind of work there is.” And we couldn't agree more.

Since stepping into homecare and community support, he’s been a compassionate force across various care companies—until he found his perfect fit with JohnJasper Care, joining us through the acquisition of the Castrian Group.

His passion? Client satisfaction and exceptional service.

Or as he likes to say: “It’s my bread and butter!” Whether it’s smoothing out the small stuff or orchestrating outstanding care plans, he takes pride in making a real difference every single day.

And when the day is done?

You’ll find him adventuring with his grandchildren, in search of the next exciting play park. (Rumour has it, he’s on a mission to test them all!)

So whether you're already part of our JohnJasper family or just getting to know us, rest assured—you’re in expert, enthusiastic hands.

Patience Pikirayi
We’re thrilled to introduce Patience, our newly promoted Field Care Supervisor – and trust us, she’s as dynamic as her name is calm!
With a passion for travel, socialising, and connecting with people from all walks of life, Patience brings a vibrant energy and deep sense of empathy to everything she does. Her love of learning about different cultures and stories is what first drew her into the world of home care – and it’s been a perfect match ever since.
Patience has worked in various care roles across Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the UK, racking up over four years of hands-on experience. She joined our team as a dedicated Home Care Worker, and through her hard work, perseverance, and an eagle eye for detail, she’s climbed the ranks to take on her new leadership role.
Before diving into care full-time, Patience also worked in a busy dental practice in South Africa, balancing duties as both a dental assistant and admin whizz. It’s no surprise she’s great at multitasking and keeping things running smoothly!
When she’s not out supporting our care teams, you’ll likely find Patience with her nose in a book, cheering on a soccer match, or watching an action-packed Bruce Willis movie – she’s a Die Hard fan through and through.
