Caremark Wakefield is a family-run company providing a range of homecare and support services which enable people to remain living as independently as possible in their own homes.
Led by a former Nurse, the team is dedicated to ensuring that people receive person-centred care, whether that is something as simple as meal preparation, cleaning and companionship, through to more complex care support, including supporting people with physical disabilities.
They support both adults, children and young people and are an approved provider of care for Wakefield Council.

The Supervisor is very well organised and very experienced for her age. She has helped us a lot to liaise with other local services.
And all the carers that have been to care for Mum have been excellent - all very caring and professional. And they all try to make a connection to Mum which helps make things much easier for her to cope with.

- Good - The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
- Requires Improvement - The service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.

Meet the Team (1)
Julie has worked as a Nurse in the NHS for over 13 years, she has a passion for providing care and support to those who choose to remain living in their own homes and wants to cement her commitment to the community of Wakefield by opening this new in-home care business. After a long career in healthcare, she has been closely involved in the provision of health care for people, mainly the elderly population, and have seen them with their families as a unit and has come to understand their individual, family and social needs.
She became passionate about caring for the elderly and developed this desire to provide the highest standards of professional care and support, backed by Caremark’s systems and processes and ongoing support, at the heart of my business. She’s always wanted to help people and developed a passion towards social care in the community whilst working within the NHS. She has opened a business because she wants to reach the most vulnerable people and genuinely make a positive difference to their lives.
