Live-in care rates will be dependant on the level of care requested and whether a specific condition informs the care requirements. It is useful to note that live-in carers can only work for a set number of hours each day, with a regular break, which can be provided by the client or by Kingsway Care. It is also necessary to consider whether the nighttime is 'rest time' or whether the live-in care will need to be available. Please call us to discuss in detail and a price can be provided.

We have been using Kingsway Care since July 2025 to support my father-in-law, and we couldn't be more grateful for the care and professionalism they have shown throughout. From the very beginning, the team has provided daily visits to assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and helping him get ready for the day. Every carer who has visited has been incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and compassionate. It has meant so much to us that he has been able to see familiar faces regularly, allowing him to build trust and a genuine bond with a small, consistent group of carers. Nothing has ever been too much trouble. As a company, Kingsway Care has been consistently professional, supportive and attentive. They have guided us carefully on how to make the most of their services and have carried out regular reviews, always checking in to see if anything needed to be adjusted as my father-in-law's needs evolved. The app has also been a fantastic addition. Thank you
We're really pleased to hear that both the care provided and the...
We already had Kingsway care in place in January 25, but when my husband came out of hospital in September 2025 and needed end-of-life care, that was when we began to realise exactly how invaluable they were to us.These charming people came into our home four times a day, and brought with them, humour, kindness, and the sense of how much they cared for my husband. Each one of them became a good friend to both of us, and I so appreciated the time and love that they radiated with every visit. Each morning when they arrived I heard only laughing and interesting conversation ,while he was showered, dressed, and made comfortable.Because of the impeccable way he was cared for I was able to keep him at home in the heart of his family. I will never be able to express just how grateful we all are to these wonderful people for making these last precious months so memorable.
Thank you for such a wonderful review of our support for your husband. Every single carer loved their visits to your home and the conversations and laughter they had with you both. He was such a joy to spend time with, always interested in the carers and always remembering details they shared...
This questionnaire was completed together with my partner who is the care user.
Kingsway Care is a small, family-run agency with caring, well-trained staff and an efficient, responsive management team. The carers arrive on time, are warm, thoughtful and kind, and have been getting to know my partner well in the months since his care began following a diagnosis of early-stage dementia. They treat him as an individual, respect his preferences and needs, and make appropriate efforts to meet them. The agency is quick to respond to additional care needs or any issues that may arise.
Kingsway carers have helped us access some of Brighton's community facilities for people with dementia, including outings and stimulating activities to help maintain my partner's capacity. As a retired social worker whose last job involved evaluating care users' satisfaction with their home care agencies, I can honestly say Kingsway Care's standards are among the best I've encountered in Brighton & Hove.
Thank you for such a lovely review. Your experience of Kingsway Care is exactly what we aim for our clients to feel. We're very happy that he feels in control of his situation and we will always focus on maintaining his independence. He is a pleasure to support and all carers really enjoy his visits. Thank you for recognising the standards that we set for our service.
Laura and Vicky are kind, reliable, and genuinely caring-they take the time to chat with Betty, help her start the day comfortably, and always treat her with warmth and respect. Our whole family has peace of mind knowing she's in such good hands. We also value the flexibility in being able to reduce or increase hours as Betty's needs change.
I highly recommend Kingsway Care for their professionalism, compassion, and the positive impact they've had on Betty's wellbeing.
Jane
Thank you for such a lovely review; we're so happy that our visits have made such a difference to her life. She guards her independence fiercely, which we completely understand and it's that determination that has allowed her to maintain such a strong sense of herself. It's a privilege to support...
I found every one at Kingsway is kind and willing to help me. I started with them nearly 3 years ago after I broke my hip. I also like little trips we are given, for example the canal cruise. They do arrange some nice things!
Everyone absolutely loves coming to support you!! I love the garden walks and the 'plant' chat, others love the TikTok training and the 'stress-relieving' game cards. You make us all laugh every visit and you are a real pleasure to spend time with. Thank you for such a lovely review.
Our aunt lives in her own home and has 3 visits/day from carers. She greatly enjoys their company and is happy to give them all sorts of tasks, but mostly she just loves the conversations. (And even if she is rather hard-of-hearing - she says they are very patient.)
They are personable, friendly, efficient and always punctual.
They sometimes take her to doctor's appointments, or on other trips (including some for fun).
She is very happy - and that means we all are.
Vicky, the manager, is very engaged and involved.
Thank you for such a wonderful review of our service and our time with your aunt. Every single carer absolutely loves their visits with her. She is funny and witty and so engaged in everyone's lives. We all love our gardening chats and I know that she's taught a few of us how to use TikTok!!!...
Recommended Kingsway Care by a friend. Cannot fault the care mum has had, and feel relieved that mum is in excellent hands. Nothing is too much trouble, and they listen to any concerns. Will be using Kingsway for a long time. Great company
We're happy about the recommendation you received. All of the carers love working with your mum and they enjoy the common interest that some of them have with her. We will also look forward to working with you and your mum for a long time! Thank you
For anybody who is looking for the best possible care for their loved one's , look no further as our experience with Kingsway care has exceeded all our expectations . My 89 year old mothers health has declined considerably in the past two years , she has mobility issues and limited use of her right hand so she has carers coming to her twice a day where she lives in Hertfordshire. My mother wanted so much to come and stay several days with us in Hove for a much needed break and quality time enjoying the seaside fresh air and beautiful Sussex landscapes. We rang numerous care providers and We discovered that the overwhelming majority of care providers do not offer temporary care because of the considerable time involved in the assessment procedure,We were so happy when Kingsway care agreed to care for my mother , they wanted to create a truly inclusive service. The care and overall level of service provided was really exceptional , I highly recommend their service.
Thank you for such a thoughtful review of our service. Caring for your mother was an absolute joy and meeting your family was a really wonderful experience! I'm pleased that we were able to support your mother to visit you in Sussex and we will look forward to welcoming her again when she visits.
Kingsway Care have gone above and beyond to find the right carers for my friend. This isn't an easy task but in their care he is now thriving.
Because of a decline in my own health I had to step away from providing regular help to my friend soon after the carers began their support. This left my friend feeling uncertain and anxious - but not for long. We have both been able to rest easy knowing that He is getting a high level of care and that his needs are fully understood.
When extra care and support has been needed this has been planned in quickly and efficiently. The team are brilliant! So on behalf of us both, thank you.
Thank you....it is lovely to hear that our care has made such a difference, which is always our aim. Every client is unique and we take the time to understand their individual needs, which allows us to provide care and support that is tailored perfectly to them. We know that your friend has...
I have Parkinson's Disease and have been helped by Kingsway Care for the past 2 years. They have assisted me during some very difficult times and have helped me when I was admitted to hospital. I had a few good months when I did not need assistance but when it became apparent that some extra help was needed again, Kingsway Care were straight there for me. I now have help getting up and dressed in the mornings and someone comes by every evening to check on me. The carers are wonderful and they look after me so very well. I'm extremely grateful to Operations Director and her team and because of them, I am able to lead a reasonably independent life in my own home.
Thank you for such a wonderful review of our care. Every carer that sees you really enjoys your visits; full of stories and details of your interesting life. We are all focused on helping you maintain your independence and eventually getting you to engage with some activities that you have...
I would and have recommended Kingsway to friends and family.
The service Kingsway offer far exceeds that experienced with another close family member.
Thanks you for such a lovely review. We all love looking after your mum and enjoy that she is so independent and knows exactly what she wants. And we can always be guaranteed to have some laughs with her in the mornings! Thank you.
All the carers seemed to really love their jobs and go that extra mile for my mum. At first, they just supported my mum in her own home prompting and ensuring mum was safe, etc, reporting daily and letting me know of any concerns.
Although my mum was fiercely independent they provided support in a way that enabled her to stay safe and sound at home.
As her illness progressed and she spent more time in bed and eventually bed-bound they supported her at home to ensure she was able to die in dignity in her own home which was her main wish.
Throughout, Kingsway's communication, advice, and professionalism were outstanding. I highly recommend them.
Thank you, we deeply appreciate this review and we totally recognise the wonderful level of care that your mum received from you and your family. During the past two years, your mum formed strong bonds with her carers and they really enjoyed looking after her. She was certainly independent and her...
Kingsway Care have been looking after our mother for the last 4 months and all the carers are so loving and caring towards Mum. They always bring a smile to her face and she really looks forward to her visits. They have always been professional, flexible and extremely understanding and we would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a little tender care. They are extremely prompt and to work with Kingsway is very simple and they always honour their commitments. Fantastic team, we cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for such a lovely review. The carers love their visits with your mum and I know that her sense of humour always goes down well with everyone who sees her! And we're happy that we can support the family at the same time. Thank you,
Although we were only with Kingsway for a few weeks, after which my mother was moved into residential care, they were proactive throughout this period and proved very flexible in the light of frequently changing requirements on our side. They also raised a safeguarding concern with the responsive care services when there was some confusion over who was supposed to be providing care at a particular time, a situation which had left my mother very vulnerable but which was then quickly and satisfactorily resolved thanks to Kingsway's actions. They also reported after visiting to my mother which allowed problems to be tackled appropriately and in a timely manner. Excellent and professional throughout.
Hello Keith, thank you for such a positive comment in relation to our work with your mum. We always take a holistic view of our clients and ensure that we understand every care need and address all issues, wherever they appear, so that their safety remains at the forefront of our support. We wish your mum the best and hope that she is happy and settled in her new home.
I am an electric wheelchair user with a spinal cord injury and Kingsway Care have helped me live independently at University for the last two academic years. They have made my university experience special by giving me excellent personal care and food prep support in the mornings. All the caregivers went above and beyond in ensuring I got the best care possible and have truly become my friends. As a young person who needs care I was nervous about using a care agency as they are typically tailored for the elderly. However, Kingsway ensured I was matched with carers who I would get along with and were very flexible. This was so important for my busy and ever-changing schedule. I also love how Kingsway are passionate about improving the care sector for everyone and I am very grateful for how they supported me in running an occasional community Boccia session. Overall, Kingsway have been amazing for me. Highly recommend.
Thank you for such a high recommendation. The Kingsway Team and all of your caregivers have absolutely loved supporting you. We all understood immediately that you were a young person, with huge ability, drive and desire to do anything you put your mind to. We only ever wanted to ensure that we...
My Grandfather is 93, with heart failure and has been deteriorating for a while after a series of falls and accidents. He has not been open to support past initial help after being in hospital. I finally managed to convince him to access support, and I set up a consultation with Kingsway Care. He is very proud and has not wanted help in the past, so this has been progress. The team have been amazing. They have taken their time and explained how they can help. A month in and he now describes his carers as angels! They allow him a more dignified life. He feels seen and understood, and I can see the change him. He described with happy tears the joy of being able to have a shower - something I didn't know that he had been frightened of having. It gives me great comfort, as a Grandson, that he is getting more support than I can provide. Knowing someone is seeing him three times a week is reassuring. We've only just scratched the surface in the varied support that Kingsway provide.
Hello Tim, what a wonderful review of our care! Everyone who has met your grandfather thinks he is absolutely wonderful; funny, friendly, chatty and engaging and they love supporting him. I think today he had a haircut that one of his 'angels' arranged and he was over the moon with that. Our ethos...
Kingsway has supported my father, who has Alzheimer's disease, at home since January of this year, taking over from another agency. I've been extremely impressed with their thorough and highly professional approach. They do everything they can to ensure they are providing the highest quality of care and check that they are maintaining high standards. The carers have been very friendly and helpful with my father, and he generally really enjoys the care calls. The office staff have been friendly and very efficient. I would recommend this agency without reservation.
Thank you for such a lovely review, Joe. Our caregivers really enjoying supporting your dad and it was great to hear that he recently went outside for a walk to the local park. Thank you for your recommendation.
Both my parents are 92 years old and until recently fairly independent. The initial care was for one hour per day in the morning, but after my father's fall breaking his shoulder rendering his left arm inoperative we increased the care to 3 times per day. Kingsway management were very helpful visiting Dad in hospital to assess his mobility and arranging for the hospital bed for his use. The carers are excellent providing assistance not only with the daily chores but also with conversation. My mother calls the carers 'my friends'. I highly recommend Kingsway Care.
Our ethos at Kingsway Care is always to provide friendship, alongside the daily support that is required. Having regular social interaction and conversation is an essential part of recovery and care, and our caregivers are all fabulous at this. Our office team are all experts at navigating the...
We contacted Kingsway in 2023 and were briefed by the managing director and said yes. When Mum then decided she could manage without, we cancelled Kingsway. Despite this, the managing director gave me advice about how to deal with NHS discharge issues. In 2024 when Mum was hospitalised again I was fighting another too early discharge and called Kingsway, the managing director came in at the weekend, spent an hour with Mum and worked out the best way forward (we were not asked to pay for either consultation although we offered to l). Kingsway then became involved in talking to the hospital team, again not charging us for their help. When Mum was discharged they started to provide care. I have brain damage and so have personal experience of care agencies and can say Kingsway are stand-alone platinum standard care agency. The head office are amazing; the careers care. They will do things other care agencies refuse to do. If Mum becomes ill they contact the GP and hospital and get them moving in a way I have never been able to.
What a wonderful review of our service and we are truly grateful that you have recognised and highlighted our desire to always go over and above for our clients. Securing a package of care from hospital is not always easy or straightforward, so it was a pleasure assisting your mum to get back home...
We have found the care that Kingsway provide is excellent with whomever goes in doing their care visits. They provide individualised care and make their client feel very cared for, with either painting her nails to pick music from their own music list, for her to sing along to. They tend to focus well on her past interests and understand with her having dementia, the conversation is limited but important for her to feel listened to and valued. They help her feel she is independently living although needing care.
Thank you for such a wonderful review. We work very hard to develop unique elements of care for each of our clients, as we recognise the importance of maintaining personal interests and social activities. Music also plays a hugely positive part in the support for dementia and it's great to hear that this has become a regular part of the visits. Thank you.

Meet the Team (8)
I started the company to be the best home care provider in Sussex and the best employer too. Our Clients come first and we provide outstanding care at home services with imagination and joy. My team is handpicked, well-paid, supported and trained. I actively encourage my employees to enjoy their jobs and create quality time and fun experiences with Kingsway Care Clients as well as outstanding care.
Before Kingsway Care, I worked in software sales but always took on voluntary work to balance my core desire to help people. I have been a volunteer Special Constable and was my Great Aunt Lily’s primary carer during the last years of her life. Now, I choose to do daily care visits because I find it so rewarding. I don’t want to have a management team stuck in the office so encourage every team member to do care visits too.
Olly lives in Hove and socially is known as the instigator of fun. He is always planning day trips, evenings out, holidays, little treats – anything to make life more enjoyable for friends and family. And now Kingsway Care Clients and CareGivers can experience the same treatment.
My name is Vicky, and I’m the Managing Director overseeing all areas of the business to ensure efficiency and outstanding care.
I am responsible for recruiting the right people for our team and creating the right working environment so that we retain them. This is key to our ability to provide consistently high quality care.
All Clients and team members receive a high level of consideration, appreciation, and respect. Our Client Coordinators work closely with clients and their families to ensure that all care provided is uniquely designed for each individual. I also love to complete care visits, which allows me to remain in touch with Kingsway Care Clients and CareGivers.
Vicky likes to keep fit, play badminton, run, and paddle boarding with her teenage children.
My name is Lisa and as the Registered Manager, I prepare the block scheduling for the Care team every week. I ensure our rotas are efficient and allow enough quality time with each Client. I also introduce new clients to their primary CareGiver to make sure the Client is happy to comfortable to have carers in their home. Lastly, I love to share my skills by developing training courses for the Kingsway Care Academy.
Before Kingsway Care, I worked in a hospice for several years learning how much can be done to help make the last moments special for both the patient and family during an emotional time. I then went on to work in a Dementia Nursing Home and learned how to communicate with people living with dementia.
My name is Laura and as one of the Client Coordinators at Kingsway Care, I work to ensure our service commitments are met and manage the wellbeing of our clients. I liaise with clients and their families, engaging with GP's, and make referrals to clinical teams, as necessary. I also write and update care plans and carry out quality assurance reviews.
Originally from Oxford, I moved to Brighton in 2012. I worked in the Criminal Justice Service for nearly 12 years before deciding to move into care work. I enjoy working in care because I am passionate about people and making their lives easier wherever I can.
In my spare time, I like to read, go to the beach, and spend time with my son.
My name is Kerry and I am one of the Client Coordinators.
As a semi-retired ex-headteacher, I was keen to develop my expertise and life experience in a new career. I was very fortunate to be given a management role within Kingsway Care and I have never looked back!
I am also a CareGiver and really value going out into the community to visit Clients, their families, and friends. You can really get to know individuals and make such a difference in their desire for independent living.
I am conscious that people will “remember how you made them feel, not necessarily what you said.” To be with a client laughing and joking is job satisfaction in itself.
The safeguarding and well-being of our clients are paramount and we strive to give outstanding care at every visit.
Outside of work, I have been happily married for nearly thirty years and am a proud mum of three children and a rescue dog. My hobbies include baking which I am only too happy to share with the team and Clients. I also love reading and visiting National Trust properties. I am very fortunate to now work part-time and truly feel I am loving living again both in and out of my role!
Kerry lives in Hangleton and enjoys eating out with friends.
My name is Wayne and I used to work in a residential home for adults with disabilities. For the last fifteen years, I’ve worked as a builder, handyman and gardener. I can fix most things or recommend home improvements to make your life easier. Contact us to get those little jobs done and dusted.
My name is Jacqueline. As Head of Marketing, I have developed the Kingsway Care brand and ensured our communications are consistent and engaging across all customer touchpoints. From the website to advertising, printed brochures and flyers, social media and e-newsletters. I’m also really enjoying writing our CareGivers’ and Clients’ stories and understanding how great care can make such a positive difference in someone’s life.
Before joining Kingsway Care, I worked for many years in the advertising industry in both London and Dubai but frequently visited Brighton & Hove to enjoy what I call ‘Olly Stock Events!’
Jacqueline lives and works remotely in Sintra, Portugal, and loves arts & crafts and visiting the team in Brighton & Hove.
My name is Katy and as Disability Champion, I make sure we are Disability Positive in everything we do. I am also responsible for developing Kingsway Care activities to encourage young adults with disabilities to get out and socialise more.
