The Home Team is a new homecare provider for Norfolk. They believe in a team approach, delivering continuity and reassurance to clients and a supportive structure and strong team spirit to carers.

Each client has their own hand-picked care team, ensuring that their particular needs are met and there is always a familiar and friendly face. Each team has a lead carer with two to three others in support, all known and trusted by the client.

The Home Team recruits only those who are genuinely caring, patient, kind and reliable.

They have a highly experienced Registered Manager who alongside the Managing Director interviews every carer with particular focus on character and aptitude to care. They train to the highest professional standards and they pay significantly better than typical homecare providers.

Visits are a minimum of one hour, ensuring that there is the time and space to deliver care well and safely.

The Home Team would be delighted to discuss your needs, which might range from a few hours support a week to a fuller plan.

I was an independent person until ill health changed everything and I now need support. I engaged the services of The Home Team and I am delighted with them. The carers are punctual, polite and very efficient and are enabling me to stay in my own home.

I am my Dad's full time carer and he depends on me twenty four seven. I really needed to have some help in the house, mainly for companionship for Dad. In searching for the right provider, I discovered The Home Team and I am absolutely delighted and relieved that I did. From the very first email exchange
they have been professional, empathetic, diligent, reliable and trustworthy. After initial contact we had a face to face visit with the managing director and manager, to meet and let us get to know each other. After that I knew I had made the right decision. Dad was at the heart of everything that they wanted to put in place. We agreed a start date after Easter but they still sent Dad an Easter card wishing him all the best! The quality of their care plan is outstanding. Everything is considered and noted to ensure my Dad is safe and content. Dad loves the visits, the staff are just brilliant with him. I can go out now safe in the knowledge that Dad is in the best hands and is being looked after superbly.

The Home Team offer a very professional, caring service. My mother needs the consistency The Home Team provide; they arrive when they say they will, and she has the same person to care for her. Mum really likes and trusts her carer. I like the App that allows me to see how the visit went, and they contact
me with any issues that occur. They are flexible and adapt to suit Mum's needs. It offers peace of mind for me; it's very reassuring to know that I have someone else to help who really does care about my mum's well being.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.896) out of 10 for The Home Team is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.921 for The Home Team is calculated as follows: ( (105 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 114 Ratings = 4.921
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for The Home Team is based on 19 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4.975
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
