Alcedo Care Wigan

This agency offered us as a family the world. We said what hours and what days we needed, yes no problem said the manager that came out, only to find they cannot provide. Staff being told different times, no communication from management when they say they will phone back. Promises, promises but always let down. All they said is sorry, they don’t think about how it would affect my child with autism to be told no dancing this week. The turnover of staff is appalling, but having said that the ones who have come here have been amazing and they are a loss to the company. If I had found this out before we would never have signed up. On joining this company it was a relief for me and my family, to eventually have a break, from all the stress and anxiety. We could not even go to the shop, have any respite, and because the care hasn’t been up to standard as promised, my and my family's well-being has significantly decreased, which causes so much stress in our house and worry.

Submitting for my Mum who has dementia. I would like to say how thankful I am to all at Alcedo, who made my Mum feel valued and special. Extremely supportive and friendly staff with great caring attitudes. Plenty of laughter had by all. I would not hesitate to recommend Alcedo to others. Thank you so much.

The girls are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Through covid, they nipped to the shops and chemist so that my friend had everything he needed. Most of all they were his company and companions. I can't thank them enough.

The only very minor negative is that Alcedo are slightly more expensive than other agencies I’ve used, but they’re certainly much better at communicating than other agencies!

Alcedo care in Wigan has been great. They are very informative and supportive, not just to my nan but also to the family. The staff are really friendly, caring and always go the extra mile. I would highly recommend this company to others.

All of the staff at Alcedo Wigan were amazing looking after my neighbour. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They have helped her maintain her dignity and her privacy whilst remaining at home and also made her smile again.

I’m getting very good care for my son who is on the autism spectrum. Carers take care of him and teach him manners and new skills each day which is commendable. Keep up the good work please!

Alcedo care for my Nan. I’ve had no issues whatsoever thanks to them. They have made it easy and straightforward and have really made things easy for my family. I would highly recommend them.

I should like to thank all of the girls that provided my care. They were like a breath of fresh air coming into our home, happy to complete any of the tasks I gave them, and leaving me feeling positive, uplifted, and ready to start my day! I would definitely use this company again.
