Alcedo Care Wigan

What more can I say 5 stars, 10 stars, brilliant company. My mum has really become so much more settled, carers are outstanding. There is never a problem when I phone the office. The deputy manager has been my rock and everyone in the office. Would highly recommend Alcedo, finally my mum is getting the perfect care and understanding of her Dementia and all her needs. This has been a great help to me as I have been mum's 24/7 carer for a while now and I totally feel so happy to have you, supporting not only mum but me, total professionalism by all staff. Carers are outstanding, several in particular. I've met these carers and mum loves every one of you that visit her. If anyone is thinking about a 100% care provider Alcedo is the one I would say is simply the best. Appreciate you all.

The care my husband received was exceptional. He was treated with kindness, gentleness and with the utmost respect so that the last weeks of his life were made as comfortable as possible. My grateful thanks to all concerned.

So far, very happy with the care package put in place. The carers have interacted with my dad and have encouraged him to chat (he's a quiet one!) It's a relief knowing he's safe in your hands.

5 months ago I was struggling to look after my nan who is 87 years of age and lives on her own. After months of trying to find homecare, I came across Alcedo Care Wigan, I rang them up to see if somebody could come out and see what they could do and help me. They sent a young lady the day after out to meet me and nan and went through what you as a company provide in homecare. I was very happy and started that week, since then I can't praise the staff any more, the carers go above and beyond for the care we receive for my nan and I am very grateful. She has not managed to get out last year due to covid, but since being at Alcedo Care, she has been doing a lot better and now she is going out every week with the carers like to the garden centre (which she loves her garden), tea rooms, shopping, arts and crafts etc. All I can say really about Alcedo Care is that the company is fantastic and would highly recommend.

This agency offered us as a family the world. We said what hours and what days we needed, yes no problem said the manager that came out, only to find they cannot provide. Staff being told different times, no communication from management when they say they will phone back. Promises, promises but always let down. All they said is sorry, they don’t think about how it would affect my child with autism to be told no dancing this week. The turnover of staff is appalling, but having said that the ones who have come here have been amazing and they are a loss to the company. If I had found this out before we would never have signed up. On joining this company it was a relief for me and my family, to eventually have a break, from all the stress and anxiety. We could not even go to the shop, have any respite, and because the care hasn’t been up to standard as promised, my and my family's well-being has significantly decreased, which causes so much stress in our house and worry.

Submitting for my Mum who has dementia. I would like to say how thankful I am to all at Alcedo, who made my Mum feel valued and special. Extremely supportive and friendly staff with great caring attitudes. Plenty of laughter had by all. I would not hesitate to recommend Alcedo to others. Thank you so much.

The girls are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Through covid, they nipped to the shops and chemist so that my friend had everything he needed. Most of all they were his company and companions. I can't thank them enough.

The only very minor negative is that Alcedo are slightly more expensive than other agencies I’ve used, but they’re certainly much better at communicating than other agencies!

Alcedo care in Wigan has been great. They are very informative and supportive, not just to my nan but also to the family. The staff are really friendly, caring and always go the extra mile. I would highly recommend this company to others.

All of the staff at Alcedo Wigan were amazing looking after my neighbour. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They have helped her maintain her dignity and her privacy whilst remaining at home and also made her smile again.

I’m getting very good care for my son who is on the autism spectrum. Carers take care of him and teach him manners and new skills each day which is commendable. Keep up the good work please!

Alcedo care for my Nan. I’ve had no issues whatsoever thanks to them. They have made it easy and straightforward and have really made things easy for my family. I would highly recommend them.

I should like to thank all of the girls that provided my care. They were like a breath of fresh air coming into our home, happy to complete any of the tasks I gave them, and leaving me feeling positive, uplifted, and ready to start my day! I would definitely use this company again.
