Radfield have been a real help at a very tough time for our family. Management listened to us and understood our care needs. Radfield have provided care for Mum for the last 10 months. We have had a good group of carers for my mother since about December. Not only do they take extremely good care of mum physically, having helped her regain her health and strength in that time, but they are also a great emotional support for her, from the carer who is able to speak mum's language, and who has built up a wonderfully playful relationship with mum, to the carer who saved mum's life by recognising when she had a hypoglycemic episode during the night, they have, one and all, gone above and beyond in caring for her and improving her quality of life. It is a great joy to watch her face light up when they arrive, and see her joy when they make her a cup of tea. The only downside is how much of a tantrum she will throw when she has to have a shower, but all the carers take this very well, because they know the minute the shower is over she will be right back to telling them how much she loves them!

We took on this service, 2 x per week, to run along side our council run care provider. The council service is quite time restricted and this is a great way to know how everything is going while the family are away. Great communication, attention to detail and care. They have been very accommodating to change and adapt the service to fit. They definitely give us peace of mind.

Over the five months that the carer has been visiting, they have built up a fantastic rapport with my mum (I can hear their conversations while working in the flat), and are almost always able to gently overcome her reluctance beforehand and leave her feeling content afterwards. On the rare occasions when Mum absolutely won't wash, the carer has taken her out for a much-needed local walk.
Radfield has always been accommodating with schedule changes and any other adjustments.

I have found this agency excellent in every way. The management in particular is outstanding, with generous time taken to look at our home situation, listen to our concerns and discuss what would be the best care package for our needs. From early on we felt we were receiving personal attention from someone who knew us and our circumstances. My partner had a long spell in hospital while under Radfield's care, but that has posed no problem. Similarly, it so happens we are waiting for power of attorney before we can decide on a fuller package of care, but I have been put under no pressure on that account. The two carers we have been sent by the agency have both been excellent. I cannot remember exactly, but think we have been with the agency for all or most of 2024.

I needed care for an hour in the morning for a couple of weeks to assist wake up and wash following leg surgery. On one day I needed to visit hospital for X-rays and to meet my surgeon for a review. I had called a couple of other care providers from my hospital bed but felt the most comfortable and at ease when speaking to Radfield.
The carers were knowledgeable and kind, and I really enjoyed their company even though I was in a lot of pain and unhappy because I was very immobile.

Meet the Team (4)
Glyn, owner and director of Radfield Home Care Camden, Islington & Haringey, has a wealth of knowledge in the financial sector. He has an extensive and impressive career history which makes him perfect for the care sector.
Glyn knows his patch better than a London cabbie and has a broad knowledge of the area. Glyn started his career in London, and over a 40-year career, found himself operating all over the world. Opening a care agency covering the Camden, Islington and Haringey area is the next big step in his career.
Glyn tells us: “I had a successful career in financial services that allowed me to live and work in New York, Zurich and Tokyo in addition to London. It served me well and provided me with a good set of transferable competencies, particularly with regards to working with people.“
He also owns a successful park home estate which has given him a valuable insight into the challenges facing older people.
We would like to introduce you to Elise Horowitz, business development manager for Radfield Home Care Camden, Islington & Haringey. Elise supports, works with and helps guide the care management team and undertakes business development work in the local communities that the office services.
Elise has an extensive background in the financial sector, having previously worked at large international investment banks. She also spent some time serving on the board of a charitable organisation as a volunteer.
Several years ago, Elise took the decision to switch careers and is now in the final year of a degree to qualify as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. Elise tells us:
“I see synergies between my new profession as a psychotherapist and home care, particularly concerning helping those in need including dignity, understanding and compassion."
She goes on to say:
“I have been fortunate to retrain in the Mental Health sector, helping those individuals in emotional distress who are looking to live more meaningful lives and in less emotional pain.”
We would like to introduce you to Sunny Bello, care manager for Radfield Home Care Camden, Islington & Haringey. Sunny is responsible for the day to day running of the office in line with CQC regulations and also for ensuring that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well led. Sunny is the key point of contact for carers, clients and their families and promotes individual’s wellbeing at all times.
Sunny initially joined us as a field care supervisor but after some time moved into the role of deputy care manager and later, care manager.
Sunny has a rich background in care working in a variety of roles. Like many, she began her journey as a Care Professional, learning the basic skills and qualities you need to care for people. Spending time as a Care Professional has given Sunny a deep understanding of the challenges facing both clients and our care family.
Over time, Sunny spent time as a field supervisor and customer care supervisor, which included observations, demonstrations, quality assurance, practical support in the field and assessing clients needs and assisting with any concerns.
“I want to make a difference to people’s lives in my community. It’s such a fine thing to be able to meet someone in my community that has a story to tell, or an unbelievable experience, they may have travelled the world or have 25 grandchildren. I find it inspiring and feel like I’m learning something new every day.”
As well as having over 10 years experience in the care sector, Sunny is keen to learn even more. She is working towards her Level 5 apprenticeship.
“I believe this will help me to demonstrate my knowledge and assure the quality of my work. I really enjoy working with our clients and hope that I can lend a hand with my wealth of experience in this sector.
I’ll always listen and take every point seriously, after all, this is my passion. I feel strongly about providing a high standard of service and quality of care.”
Kayleigh is deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of service quality and client satisfaction. She takes a proactive role in regularly monitoring performance across all areas of service delivery, conducting thorough spot checks to ensure consistency and identify any potential areas for improvement.
