Companionship - Home Instead were recommended to me by my niece - they had supported her dear mother-in-law exceptionally well using a Companionship approach. My 88-year-old mother lives alone and, whilst relatively independent, was lonely and deprived of conversation and mental stimulation, especially
over Covid lockdown. Home Instead listened carefully to her needs and provide a bespoke Companionship package that enables her to chatter or grumble - whatever she needs on the day - with the flexibility to scale up or down according to Mum's needs. The trusting relationships have been built. Their rich experience, knowledge and skills are evident in the kindness and patience they demonstrate with Mum and their telephone consultations with me to ensure Mum's safety and well-being whilst protecting her dignity and privacy. Thank you, Home Instead: highly recommended.

My background is in the healthcare industry, where I provided professional private hearing services for 20 years, supporting people with their hearing instruments, and forming relationships with clients who stayed with me for years. My audiology clients were predominantly from the older age group, and through this, I became increasingly aware that receiving good quality care in your own home is an important factor in maintaining an independent and good quality of life.


Members of my own family have needed care in recent years, and while searching for support, I wish I had been aware of Home Instead and their dedicated team of Care Professionals. I aim to help families within my area by providing the kind of care I want for my family.


I am married, with two young sons who are bursting with energy, so my wife and I enjoy taking them away for short breaks to burn some of it off, usually at the coast in Cornwall, Dorset or Norfolk. I coach my eldest son’s football team and enjoy playing golf and running.

My name is Marie, and I am the Registered Manager at Home Instead Coventry South. I have worked in the care industry for 30 years. I began in a Dementia unit when my children were small and progressed up to the Regional Management level. I have gained level 4 in Health and Social Care and the Registered Managers Award. I am a Dementia Ambassador and have a passion to provide specialist care to people living with Dementia. I am a trainer in Manual Handling and Medication, and believe that good training with guidance and support enriches the Care Professionals' journey. I came to Home Instead because of their reputation in the care sector for providing outstanding services and person-centred led care which puts clients at the heart of our services. I am very excited to expand our services and to continue to connect with our local communities.


Away from work, I am a keen gardener and love to travel to different countries.
