My mum had done incredibly well to reach her 90's and still be almost independent. Unfortunately several hospital stays and an eye operation meant she now needed carers. After contacting multiple agencies one stood out, visiting angels. Katie and Sarah took the trouble to visit Kath my mum in hospital
to assess her needs and once discharged set up a visit schedule that suited us and was flexible. All of the carers were lovely with Kath and soon built a rapport, the support for us as a family was superb and took a huge weight from us. Despite the good care Kath's health deteriorated over the months until she needed 24hr care and then end of life care. The visits were increased but always mum was treated with love and dignity from the many carers involved , too many to name but all wonderful. Mum was able to end her life in her own home surrounded by people who genuinly cared for her in the true sense of the word and visiting angels made that possible.
Reply from Katie Grinter, Care Coordinator at Visiting Angels Barnet and EnfieldThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It was truly an honour to care for your mum, Kath, and to support you and your family during such an important time.
We're so pleased that you felt supported throughout and that the team were able to build such a lovely rapport with your mum. Ensuring she was treated with dignity, compassion and genuine care-especially towards the end of her life-means everything to us.
Your feedback will mean a great deal to Katie, Sarah and all of the carers involved. Kath was a wonderful lady, and we feel privileged to have been part of her journey and to help make it possible for her to remain at home, surrounded by care.
Thank you again for trusting us with her care

I cannot recommend Visiting Angels highly enough - particularly mum's main carer Emma. We've been with Visiting Angels since September 2025 and from the very beginning have experienced their service as professional, caring, responsive and flexible - with an overarching willingness to go above and beyond
to ensure my mum (92yrs) and I are happy. It's not just the care that's provided (which in itself is of the highest quality), its the personal relationship Emma and the carers have with my mum. It often feels like family. The office team are also very good - responsive and flexible when there's changes/additional needs or questions. From a practical perspective, the app - and how much information the carers input there after each visit - gives huge peace of mind and reassurance. Highly, highly recommend Visiting Angels to anyone seeking professional and meaningful care for their loved ones.
Reply from Jose Rodriguez, Managing Director at Visiting Angels Barnet and EnfieldThank you so much for your kind review and for the wonderful support you show to our amazing carer, Emma
Supportive family relationships make such a difference, and your encouragement helps Emma to provide the very best care for your mum. Working together as a team truly allows us to deliver the highest standard of support.
It's an absolute pleasure for both our carers and office team to visit your mum-she brings so much joy, warmth, and knowledge to every interaction, and she genuinely makes our work so rewarding.
Thank you for being such an important part of this partnership

Where do I start.
When I think of amazing I think of visiting angels. I needed care for my terminally ill brother my experience of carers was shocking especially when my brother went to respite in care home disgusting we had to bring him home so I did my own research and found visiting angels and
told them exactly what I wanted and what I was not prepared to put with due to experience. Well I got exactly what I wanted and more Sara and Katie came to see my brother I could I see straight away that I was dealing with caring and professional people. The care my brother got was second to none they matched carers with his personality. Ant thank them enough he was very fond of them especially Emma and they made his end of life as good as it gets Bless you all your amazing.
Reply from Jose Rodriguez, Managing Director at Visiting Angels Barnet and EnfieldThank you so much for your kind and heartfelt review
It was truly a privilege to support your brother at the end of his life, ensuring he was comfortable, safe, and cared for with dignity. He was clearly surrounded by so much love, and it was evident how much he meant to you.
We are also incredibly grateful for the relationship you built with both our carers and office team-your kindness and support meant a great deal to us all. He will be fondly remembered by everyone who had the honour of caring for him.
Please know that we are always here for you if you need anything at all.
With our warmest wishes

My father has alzheimers and a number of complex health problems and has a strong wish to stay in his own home. Visiting Angels have provided carers who have got to know him, help him with his routines and supported him in a wide variety of tasks. Some even share his love of animals. We have been very
happy with the standard of carers and the fact that this has allowed my father to continue to live safely in his own home

My 94 year old mother now lives on her own and after a fall earlier in the year we decided with her that she needed some extra help a couple of times a day. She has Alzheimer's so was struggling to take her medication correctly and as a family we had worries about her cooking on her own. I contacted
Visiting Angels among other care services and was immediately impressed with Visiting Angels attention to detail. Since then Mum has had carers in the morning and at supper time. There is a core of 4 carers that visit and Mum gets on with all of them. Obviously there are others too, to cover holidays and sickness, but even those are regular replacements. As Mum's needs change we can easily contact the Manager to update Mum's care plan, for example she now has to have soft food, so they ensure her meals are suitable. One of the carers saved Mum's life when she was choking on a pill. We can't praise her highly enough for this, we are so grateful. (The medication was quickly changed)

Both of my parents require care and I was naturally concerned about bringing someone into our home. But from the moment I spoke to the manager and another member of staff i knew that I had made the right decision. Visiting Angels are just that angels. It's like welcoming family into your home and they
care for my parents as if they are their own. I now feel as though I have more support and someone to share the highs and lows of looking after Mummy and Daddy. I can't recommend them highly enough.

My dear dad died recently. In our family there are a number of people with complex needs. My father was beloved by them and their carers. My mum of 90 years was totally distraught by my dad's death. She needed our attention at the funeral. We had at short notice to find carers for 3 adults. My son aged
57 and his friend who is 60. They both have Downs syndrome are non verbal and have profound learning difficulties. My foster daughter aged 23 who is blind, non verbal and has severe learning difficulties. I came across 'Visiting Angels'.
From the first contact they were friendly and accomodating. They met our family members. They spent a day shadowing the current carers, so that by the time of the funeral (Which went over 2 days) they were au fait with the care needed by our 3 adults. All three were happy when we left and when we returned. The 2 women were lovely. They were friendly, personable and good communicators.
I would highly recommend them and this agency.

My elderly mother lives alone and needs help getting up and going to bed. We've been with Visiting Angels for two months, since December 2024. They've provided an excellent service with experienced, friendly carers. They've also shown great flexibility, scheduling extra visits and cancelling planned
visits when not needed at fairly short notice. I would certainly recommend them.

I cannot express enough how grateful we are for the exceptional care provided by Visiting Angels. Their team has been a wonderful support for my father, assisting him with his morning routine, including getting up, washing, dressing, and enjoying breakfast.
In the evenings, they are just as dedicated,
helping him prepare for bed and ensuring he feels comfortable and secure. The carers are not only professional but also genuinely caring, which has given our family peace of mind.
I also want to highlight the managers, who always respond to any questions or requests for help promptly. Their understanding and compassion during the initial assessment meeting truly made us feel supported. We feel incredibly safe knowing that my dad is in such good hands.
Thank you, Visiting Angels, for the compassion and dedication you show every day!

I could not be happier with the care my mum received. Carers were always on time and respected my mum's wishes, which could be challenging at times because of her dementia. They gave me peace of mind and support. They also could help at short notice, which enabled me to have breaks away.

My father-in-law's life has been changed for the better by three carers, in particular, from Visiting Angels Barnet. They are truly angels who take their role as carers to another level. Dad now goes for regular walks, sits out in the garden, eats well and enjoys their company. This has made a massive
change to the quality of his life. The manager of the team is outstanding and nothing is too much trouble. She doesn't wait for us to contact her but asks us if there is anything more the team can do for Dad. She is always looking to see how she can improve Dad's care. We count ourselves lucky to have her. The two amazing carers go above and beyond on a daily basis and genuinely care for Dad. My husband and I are very grateful to these 3 amazing people.

Only one word can express what we feel about Visiting Angels Barnet and that is outstanding. The staff and management care deeply about the wellbeing of anyone they look after. They treat people they care for not just as customers, but as individuals whose needs change over time. They listen and they
learn and offer practical and sensitive solutions to any challenges they are presented with. My dad was very resistant to care of any kind but welcomed the carers when he saw how they wanted to get to know him as a person, made him feel safe, but most importantly did their utmost to make him feel that his happiness was their primary focus. This is truly 5-star 'care with a smile' where nothing is too much trouble. The carers are very well trained, well managed and work as a team. Visiting Angels do not just meet customer needs but aim to exceed them. They are different from the rest and you won't be disappointed.

I have had quite a lot of experience with care companies over the years with them helping to look after friends and relatives. Some of the companies have provided a reasonable service and others not so good.
What neither my friend nor I expected was the really high-class service provided by Visiting
Angels. From the very start, they were impressive and it continued until the end of my friend's life. It wasn't just the care that was first class, but also the management - even with a whiteboard showing them and us what was required that day.
The icing on the cake was the continuity of the care personnel and the fact that the managing director himself was heavily involved in the care process, ably assisted by another staff member in most cases. They both were extraordinarily caring and went way beyond what I would have expected. On one occasion I was with my friend in A & E and the managing director appeared, having heard that my friend was in hospital.
Without a doubt, Visiting Angels is a company that I happily recommend.

above and beyond the call of duty on many occasions and I cannot praise her highly enough; truly an immensely caring and dedicated individual. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Visiting Angels as they deliver to an exceptionally high standard.

I contacted Visiting Angels to help me with my flat, filling any forms I needed to do, also helping me sort my finances. I found them online and spoke to a lovely man who arranged for one of the staff to come over and sort a care package. She found me a lovely lady who has been helping me sort my flat,
she has helped me with forms, and we also sorted through a care plan. Thank you for helping me.

I was very grateful and relieved to have found the excellent home-care team Visiting Angels. Their management and care workers live up to their name. My husband was bedridden when I sought help from Visiting Angels. I was impressed by the manager's initial visit to assess the situation as she made a
point of including my husband in the discussion which was very reassuring. This was in contrast to the two representatives of other care companies who talked over him or just nodded ‘hello’ and walked out of the bedroom.
Visiting Angels matched the carer to fit in with his needs and personality and tried to have the same team coming regularly. All the carers were kind and compassionate to my husband but also to everyone else in the family. They were also very supportive of me when my husband passed.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to family or friends in need.

My personal experience of carers and caregiving, both good and bad, has made me realise how varied the level of care can be and how confusing and worrying it is for families just trying to do the best for their loved ones. I am committed to supporting those who need to make difficult decisions and helping them understand their entitlements and options so that they don’t repeat my experiences.

I am also committed to providing the best level of care, in the home, with great carers who are looked after and because of that provide continuity.

And that’s why, after a successful career in both big and small businesses, including my own, I decided to change direction and do something with Visiting Angels that is more than just a job and gives something back.

My hands-on role is to run and grow the business and make sure that Rosie and her team have what they need.

I’ll also be working closely with them to see where I can add to the quality of complete care we provide.

Job Title: Registered Care Manager Joined: 2025

I am the Registered Care Manager for Visiting Angels Barnet and Enfield, having completed my Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care Management in September 2024. I have 17 years of experience in the care sector, beginning my career in children’s services before moving into adult services. My transition into adult social care was driven by my personal experience as a family carer for my late father, where I witnessed first-hand the level of support required in palliative and end-of-life care. This has shaped the compassion, understanding, and dedication I bring to my role today.

My professional journey and lived experiences have enabled me to develop strong relationships with carers, family members, medical professionals, and local authorities. I understand the importance of a collaborative approach in ensuring every service user receives the right support while remaining in their own home and community.

I joined Visiting Angels in December 2025 to begin my first registration as a Manager and chose the organisation specifically for its ethos. Visiting Angels is truly care-centric—placing both service users and carers at the heart of every care package. This aligns closely with my own values and vision for high-quality, relationship-led home care.

I am experienced in supporting a wide range of care needs, including Dementia and Alzheimer’s, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Complex Care. My passion lies in supporting service users and their families by ensuring they receive compassionate, person-centred, holistic care that alleviates stress during what can be extremely challenging times. I am equally committed to guiding and developing our staff so they feel confident, valued, and equipped to deliver exceptional care.

I aim to continue championing the care-centric approach that Visiting Angels is known for, bringing high-quality, trustworthy, and truly connected home care to the Barnet and Enfield community.
